  1. Just cause you can't do something doesn't mean allowing it isn't elitist. For example, I won't ever make $1B, but if I think billionaires shouldn't be taxed, its still elitist. And again, saying its wrong is just your opinion. I for one, enjoyed it. Don't have much time to play, so was nice to be able to gear up several toons quickly to help my buddies in NiM content when I got back into the game. Gatekeeping end tier content by forcing me to play ridiculous amounts of content is what drove me away from other MMOs. Again, personalized experience for me, but I only get to play 4ish hours a week tops with my job, so I very much welcomed the old gearing system. Now you (and devs) might think that someone who can only dedicate 4 hours/week to the game doesn't deserve to have access to end tier content/gear but I'd say that's a pretty lame argument.
  2. And sure, you're allowed to have your elitist attitude towards gear. But there are plenty of ways to reward NiM players that aren't gear related. If anything it'll just make the cycle of people buying for clears (and now gear) even worse and mess up the economy 2x as bad as it is right now.
  3. so, when i first started gearing up my bodyguard, i didnt know about the 30% crit soft cap. so now im sitting at 40% crit and 80% crit multiplier. prolly gonna have to dump out some crit and surge, but was wondering if I should go power or alacrity. personally I feel that alacrity is a waste, itll just make me build up heat faster. the build i had going with the crit and surge left me no need to ever rapid shot. The heals took just long enough to reset 5 or 10 heat per cast. also the heals were significantly larger due to my surge rating and crit. however, ive seen a lot of posts saying alacrity till 1.5s. opinions?
  4. or the fact that you have to pump in 5k damage to break that stupid shield of theirs =). theres a reason why sorc heals are the most sought after healers in the game. And in pve ops, the heals arent the ones being whacked on. armor isnt the major factor for healers, healing output is. id sacrifice 50% of my armor for 10% healing output in a heartbeat for pve
  5. i recently debated rerolling a sorc heal after gearing up a merc bodyguard. guild realized they cant run merc/op heals for EV and so I was forced to lvl a sorc or leave guild. I really want to play merc heals, so I went to look for a new guild. Didn't realize that everyone else needs sorc heals also bc of the aoe. you can run as many calculations as you want, but its 10x easier to do soa hm/nightmare with a sorc healer than w/o just bc of the LACK of aoe heals from the other classes. Not saying sorc is OP or anything. Id rather lose some of my single heals to buff up my aoe. Take away my 4 set and replace it with a 20% increase to kolto missle healing and push it up to 4 targets with smart healing. just something so i dont have to play sorc heals haha
