  3. Mako is all you need. Leveling by yourself is the fastest most efficient way, while queing for WZ's while questing.
  4. No sir. If your objective is to single target dps, then you should be using railshot anytime it's available. Standing still for too long to cast unload and powershot is why merc pyro is getting face owned by point blank classes/specs... End of story.
  5. So I've been pvping alot as a merc pyro, and even though I get destroyed if I have a jug, pt, or marader and their counterparts in my face, I usually manage ok on damage or more each match. The problem I'm seeing is that to get my railshot off cooldown is to use powershot over and over if unload doesn't do that job. The cast times for powershot is what's killing the merc in pvp. If its warm up time were toned down to 1 second or .5 seconds that would help out tremendously. When I have to stand still to cast unload and powershot to get railshot off cooldown is when I die. I'm sure that's how it is with the majority. Tone down the warmup timer on powershot from 2 seconds to 1 second or better yet .5 seconds and I'm a happy merc pyro.
  6. What you want is campaign/bh attachments, to have aim to be your largest stat on each piece, and staying at 100% ranged accuracy, 30% crit, 70% surge unbuffed. (All the while not negating the set bonuses) Thats gonna leave a little bit of room to swap out a few attachments to inch out a little bit more power for bonus damage. Campaign worth it? No, but the attachments you snake out of some of the pieces are..
  7. I too have had this same problem since I came to that part of the class quest. ( Months and months ago ) I can't seem to get onto the chancellors ship and kill him..
  8. Why Railshot before HSM? Using RS expires the 5stack tracer lock, and negates the 25% damage buff it gives HSM.. (Although it seems bugged and doesn't buff it at all, it says it does however) HSM doesn't expire the 5stack tracer lock so wouldn't it make sense to use that first, and then RS??

  10. There is no reason to take an arsenal merc into a raid when there is another available sniper or marader. The situation with the class is even more useless in pvp. The only role a merc would have in todays game is a healer, which is viable in pvp and pve. Whats the point in having the other 2 trees may I ask? Any dps mercenary spec has no role to fulfill.
  11. The 5 stack of heat sigs supposedly buffing hsm and railshot, isn't buffing hsm, not sure about railshot though.

In pve it brings a wonderful bonus as the tracer missle brings a 20% armor reduction on said target for the group, and if played correctly brings a sustained 1200-1300 dps to the table even though the HSM bonus dmg is still fubar. PvP wise it still brings awesome single target burst damage, and group damage if continuously positioned effectively. 3x tracer missles piggy-backed by unload or a hsm, followed by railshot can do 13k damage to an unprotected "non-tank" spec'd class in less than 6 seconds, whereas a pyrotech spec brings group damage to the table which is mostly mitigated, and mediocre burst damage. Unfortunately the hsm bonus dmg isn't currently working, and is hitting for less than 1x tracer missle. If it did, the hsm should be hitting for about 5k rather than less than 2 almost every single time it's fired. If that's fixed, the stationary "turret-style" dps class whom has no utility would without a doubt be the best 1v1 faceroll class/spec in the game if left un-noticed..
  13. I'm a full rakata arsenal merc and logged a Nightmare Karagga encounter using the moxparser prog. We brought in a sniper in mostly columi. Long story short I got out dps'd by 110,000..
