  1. Hi, I would be interested in reading this, but could you perhaps offer it in a different format? That pdf link wants me to download some app called Scrib D after the first page. And I hemmed and hawed and eventually did, but then only to be thwarted as it also wanted me to create a profile. I don't want to get in that deep with some software just to check your guide. Any other options? Thanks.
  2. Nahhhh.. See the last time designers tried to bury rarer drops in bags things didn't turn out so well...
  3. Back when I was max arms tech weeks ago this wasn't the case. It may have changed, or might be slated to change... But if theirs nothing coming soon forget it. I had the best possible purple gun, with an augment slot at 50 and it wasn't even close to newbie 50 stuff in terms of usefulness. Arms tech is garbage...
  4. I'm curious about the practical applications of a stealth healer in hutt ball since you brought it up, and some examples of why a respectively comparative class like a sorc healer isn't more favorable? The unique things about many classes and makeups are truthfully not all that impressive. I suppose all we can do is hope new maps showcase new features that may for example, make stealth healers "flavor of the month".Particularly since it's obvious force users are more useful on a map and game like hutt all...
  5. If it makes hots and dots tick faster it wouldn't be terrible, and it's kinda nice to get some just to try and pinch clutch heals on people but I agree ultimately... Crit power and surge are premium, accuracy and alacrity are quite lackluster in pvp.
  6. Gamers, game systems to achieve favorable goals in the given system set. This is the essence of games, and play in general. It's the designers job to create the rules and systems that govern the way it's users game inside of the model space. When bugs and short sites creep into a system that compromise the intent, you call them exploits and fix them accordingly. However, kill trading isnt a bug or a short site at all. The game is designed to incentivize personal gear gains, and it empowers the users to seek these baubles out in the most convenient way possible. The easiest way to do it, is to do it together. Pre make with your own faction is playing together to achieve personal goals. Or you can pre make with your entire server cluster and play together By trading to achieve personal goals. This is anticipated and expected behavior based on the rules bioware has implemented in their core compulsion loops. The game never invests anything to make people actually care about winning, or being republic, or being empire at all. The only motivation for anything is through itemization. Until that changes, people working together to get gear as easily as possible is going to be the point of the game, as long as it's with systems and features that are not broken or bugged. You can't stop water from flowing downward. You can't call people working together a bug or an exploit, that is always expected, planned, and u Timely designed for. It's inevitable. Is it lame? Totally. Is it our fault? Nope, it's biowares crappy designs that have stimulated this type of end user behavior.
  7. I agree with you, while RNG could certainly be frustrating, it least their was a spark of excitement just before I opened a couple bags, even if it was met shortly after with a sigh of frustration.... Now it's just kinda boring opening them, knowing exactly how many more days and hours I have to put in to get exactly what I need. Kind of makes me wonder why I even care? Granted I appreciate how other people respond more to it being the way it is... It just feels kinda bland to me.
  8. Let me fix that for ya... "... different classes are already suited for different roles as it is. Kinda like Sorcs are the ultimate class as we speak"
  9. A lot of good pvp centric games are starting to realize stealth is just a horrible mechanic to try and balance. Stealthed based mechanics are too often overpowered in the most desirable and coordinated circumstances, and causes the classes in question to just be broken otherwise. Developers try to bring them in line based off the circumstances of question and it just gimps them when not in these ideal scenarios. While it is true, that by nature "everything" is op when in the perfect conditions/coordination, stealth specifically empowers that type of gameplay MORE for all those who utilize it based off it's apparent seek and destroy mechanics. It's far to easy to find and leverage the conditions I mean. Additionally, the user base tends to be more inclined, and vocal about it's discrepancies because nobody likes to NOT see their demise coming. It's psychologically not very "gamey" in people's minds, so they rarely appreciate the setup time etc. Of the stalker. Anyway.... Ops/scoundrels are now challenged by these same predicaments in this game as well. Good luck bioware pvp team, we are all counting on you to solve this old design problem! Hahaha aaa.
  10. He probably means rarely. And if so he is probably right. I cast it when I can and should but we play so much better on the move etc. Once I get my all my hots spread about it's easy to keep upper hands and pump out insta heals, and cast triage on people etc. Our 2 sec heal gets interrupted easily, but if the other faction let's me stand there and use it, I do so happily!
  11. i think its around 500 or 10% ish it starts to DR in a meaningful way... But i do not know the numbers.
  12. If youre really into PVP, i advice you to spec hybrid into scrapper and get the HOT that scales off total HP on pugnacity. Your own 2 stacks, plus that hot, and the talents into Triage make you a kiting god. You are so frustrating to kill then because you have all these hots going, and you can pump emergancy med packs, and triage for so much uninterruptable heal on the move its amazingly effective. Use your dodge, and your shield skills, healing pack, flash grenade and nad kicks as needed while you run back towards where your support should be coming from and laugh.
  13. When i'm on the assassin, i finish first every time. He has low hp but lots of dmg. I'm hybrid spec though for PVP and get to use sucker punch... I have not had to spec full healing yet, but I can definately see how I may need to at some point if they ever buff our AOE heal. Right now I get away with not needing it cause everyone knows its complete garbage in comparison to the sages.
  14. which sets? To be honest, as a healer none of the set bonuses or gear spreads seem perfectly distributed with the right stuff regardless. I'm mostly a pvp healer and i actually use the 15% crits to back stab 2 piece columi because its the only set bonus i'm remotely interested in (i just slotted it with different stats since i don't need accuracy). The others are all for kolto pack, which no one ever uses ever, and the aoe heal, which is nearly useless and i'm not even pvp speced to take it. The +5 energy on PVP 4 piece is good for PVE, but not particularly all that useful in PVP as a healer, the only problem is expertise is useless in PVE. Nothing is straight forward and obviouslly best to go with... Its a mess. The only good news is, most everyones sets seem poorly itemized anyway and everyone has to mix and match mods and enhancements to fit their tastes.
  15. This is the part on the thread where someone like me comes in and quotes you and tells you.... So what you are suggesting is melee wait back and do practically nothing at all useful until someone else on the team accepts failure and goes up to eat the knock back? If this is indeed the case, it sounds like a win/win no matter how it shakes out for the guy holding his knock back ready for the right time...!
