  1. Everything they offer us is a promise. They're a company. We're customers. The point at which we paid them one cent is the point at which they owed us something. The fact that they continue to tell us we're going to get things constitutes something of a contract. It gives us the expectation of a product. When they do things that prevent that expectation from being fulfilled, people have a right to be justifiably upset. Fanboys can call the people who are complaining about it crybabies all they want, but in the end, the fact remains that early release is not a gift--it was promised to us. Without the promise of early release, none of us would have pre-ordered. Communication is key. If you want to have launch go your way, have a plan and communicate it to your fan base. Keep your customers happy. As it sits, I'd estimate for every one post that is positive about how they're handling this release, there's 6 to 7 negative ones. Fanboys can say what they want, but statistically, there cannot be that many immature folks out there. The problem ultimately falls on the feet of the company who created the expectations. I think the game is great--as does most everyone who got to test it. That's why we all want in. But the utter lack of communication, and the disregard for the concerns of their fan base is frightening for a launch because, of all the games set to topple the giants, this was the only one that stood a chance. I'm hoping the damage hasn't been done. Further, I hope that future releases will not be handled in such a manner. Customers need the confidence to purchase and know when they will receive their products. Promises, however nice they may seem, are still promises. Thoughts....
  2. So, YVIN moved the thread--BUT THE ORIGINAL POST STILL HAS OLD INFO!!! UPDATE IT AND KEEP US INFORMED PLEASE.. Thanks!
  3. HOW's about you UPDATE that first thread with correct and UP TO DATE INFO! It still says you've only sent out two waves! Maybe we could get some current data please?
  4. Hey Steven! Your sticky said you'd be updating it as you went along! You have about 70% of your pre-order folks up in arms upset and waiting because of lack of communication, and then YOU TAKE DOWN YOUR ORIGINAL POST?!?!? That was the only thing that was worth the reading the forum for folks who were there refreshing it looking for news. Folks can disagree about the decision to stagger your preorders and waves. Folks (like me) can be very upset with you about the lack of communication coming from you guys to us. but.... When you finally start a thread and tell us that you're going to keep it updated on the day you launch a game, AND you know you're going to have thousands of irate folks looking at that thread for news, common sense should tell you that you don't take your post down! We all don't follow your twitter account! Please do as you said, put the post back up and update it with relevant information! I do not believe this is asking too much. Thank you!
  5. I think the fanboys need to get a grip and understand things from other folks point of view... I'm at work, so I can't play for a little bit anyway, BUT that said, I have to agree with other comments here. I think the staggered launch was ill planned. They should have broken us up into batches and notified us as to which batch we were in. That way, they still didn't have to tell us when, but at least we would have some idea of which wave we would be in. That's something to hold onto. The looking and waiting is hard to do when everyone is excited about something we've waited years for. My 2 cents.
  6. I activated mine on the 25th. I figured I'd have gotten in too. Kinda disappointed that they didn't at least plan it out and SEND US AN E-MAIL TO TELL US WHEN WE WOULD BE ALLOWED TO GET INTO THE GAME SO WE COULD PLAN FOR IT. Might have been nice...
