  1. I'm just enjoying the game in its current state until 7.0 drops. It seems pretty clear that the dev team is intent on stripping us of roughly half of our abilities in an effort to...I don't know what. Whatever the reason, I've tested it and I hate it, and I will be leaving. No biggie, there are plenty of other games out there. If Disney gets wise, they'll start from scratch with an entirely new mmo, but perhaps it's not in their financial interest to do so. Whatever the case, it was fun while it lasted.
  2. What's your point? We've taken time away from the game to voice concerns about proposed changes to the game. And? There were plenty of proposed pruning options included in that post. You're not adding anything new here. The fact that you can play an alternate class because the changes to this one suck doesn't constitute an argument. Oh, and while we're on the topic of how long you've been gaming, and you've seen yada, yada, yada. How did that NGE go over with SWG? The phrase "lead balloon" comes to mind.
  3. Play a dps jugg or pt in ranked and report back.
  4. Sorry, this doesn't make me feel one bit better. You're still forcing us to choose between vital dcds. You can dress them up with additional little tweaks all you want, but ultimately you're taking away defensive viability from a class that needs it the most and calling it "choice" and "meaningful". Get used to these buzzwords people, you're going to be hearing them a lot. Oh, and while you're at it, take a look at the number of dps jugg/guardians on the ranked leaderboards. There's a reason you won't find any. SMFH. Breaker and interrupt potentially combined? Are you nuts? And breaker without player input? Wtaf? *I* want to choose when to use my breaker, not the game. This just gets worse and worse...
  5. I've found sweeping slash to also be very useful in combination with Cut to Pieces due to the the bloodbath ability. It should have its rage cost cut to 2 though and have the 25% damage boost utility rolled into baseline, with a removal of the utility. At any rate, I wouldn't throw a fit if they removed it from the game. There are obviously more important things that they are removing (via "choice") that need to be addressed.
  6. Please listen to this. I made a post with similar ability pruning proposals that still left the class intact (vigilance in my case). The only thing I'd keep that you have listed is cyclone slash. Very useful for getting stealthies out in the open. The only thing I would lose from your "ideal" list would be freezing force. I find it of minor utility even in pvp. I would go much further though. I wouldn't just keep most things as they are (with some minor pruning), I think dps guardian/jugg defensives need to be kept as baseline abilities and need to be reworked. 30% baseline stun dr (so we're not fodder in ranked). Stun immunity for 5 seconds after a stun (again, to prevent the current tunneling meta). All dcds usable while stunned as baseline (or at least a a utility). The utility "Battlefield Command" should have its proc reduced to 1s as opposed to 1.5. Roots and slows should contribute to resolve. This is just spitballing, but the overarching theme here is that we need more defense, not less.
  7. This is essentially what it boils down to. "I waste hundreds of dollars on the cartel market and play story mode ops. I'm what Disney cares about. No one cares about your stupid NiM ops and pvp. I can't keep track of all these buttons, so everyone should have them taken away." These corporate simps wouldn't know challenging gameplay if it bashed them in the face.
  8. Disney's version of choice. Pick one of these 3: 1) Air 2) Water 3) Food We're working hard here at the dev center to make your choices, and thus your gaming experience, meaningful and impactful.
  9. In the interest of self-flagellation, I tried loadout B of the vigilance guardian. What a pointless exercise. I still get zero dcds, but this time I get blade blitz instead of enure. WOW. Two abilities I should never have had to choose between in the first place. If this is truly where you're headed, where essential abilities in the toolkit have to be chosen between, this game is dead.
  10. This is incoherent. I said the guy needed 6 abilities for his rotation. Beyond that, the rest of his abilities could be ignored. Thus, there should be no confusion on his part as to what he has to do to perform his task. Umm...what? Where did I say a vigilance guardian needs 15-20 buttons to perform in pve. I specifically said that in order perform in pvp I need, and use, all of my abilities as they currently exist. Horse sh*t. Performing at the highest levels of pvp and pve require skill and and toolkit to implement that skill. NiM ops and ranked pvp are the only reason many people still play the game. Here, we partially agree. Ranked is toxic af. That said, I think productive changes can be made to the game that balance the classes and make it fun for everybody.
  11. Don't put them on your bars if you're not using them. Problem solved. Stupid and untrue according to who? You? I listed the abilities I use in pvp, and it includes every ability currently available. Where's the "untruth" in my statement. So the answer is less defensive viability? Unless they plan to make stuns white bar you instantly (which I'm not against) then we need more defense, not less. 30% stun dr baseline, stun immunity for x seconds after being stunned, slows and roots adding to the resolve bar, lower cd on focused defense (and focused defense as baseline, not a "choice" as it currently is on the ptr) or a passive that reduces FD when attacked as baseline, saber reflect as baseline (again, left as a "choice" on the ptr) with a lower cd, etc., etc. If you're dead set on gimping yourself, you're going to have to do it twice as hard to everyone else to make us viable. Maybe that's what you're hoping for, I don't know.
  12. Does this feel like a Jedi Guardian? Please explain why or why not. No, it feels nothing like a Jedi Guardian. Using Vigilance loadout A, my defensive abilities have been reduced by 2 thirds, and two of my most used abilities (bladestorm and saber throw) are just straight-up gone. My escapes (resolute and blade blitz) are also gone. I am simply an automaton, mashing the same 3 or 4 buttons repeatedly and thoughtlessly, with little to no means of defending myself. Is there anything that feels missing or out of place in the combat rotation? If you're talking pve, then bladestorm is missing. If you're talking pvp, ALMOST EVERYTHING IS MISSING: saber reflect, focused defense, resolute, blade blitz, freezing force, challenging call, guardian leap, guard, awe, cyclone slash, saber throw and force kick. If you'd ever taken the time to actually play a vigilance guardian, you'd know that none of these are optional in regular warzones. In ranked warzones, these abilites needed to not only be kept, but buffed. Even with the abilities on live, we're the laughing stock of ranked due to our lack of survivability. What are your initial thoughts with the effectiveness of the Jedi Guardian against enemies? If I pull more than one pack of weak mobs, I'm dead in less than 5 seconds. My companion is dead in less than 3 seconds even if I only pull 1 pack of weak mobs. I have no escapes, no cc break, no root break, and no damage reduction abilities (aside from the always-tepid saber ward which is on a 3 minute cd). How are you enjoying or not enjoying this class? Of course I'm not enjoying it. Who would enjoy a loss of abilities and a loss of combat proficiency framed as "choice"? This is an insult to everyone that has played a Guardian for the last 10 years. If you have feedback on the different disciplines and ability paths, please note your feedback accordingly so we can track it. I was too disgusted to try any of the other ability paths, as I knew I'd be getting more of the same lackluster, lowest common denominator garbage.
  13. Since we're currently testing the Jedi Guardian, let's talk about the insane number of abilities a vigilance guardian has to memorize in order to perform the pve rotation: SIX. Is that really beyond your ability to remember? The fact that there are those among us that can remember our own telephone numbers and walk and chew gum at the same time doesn't mean we should be catering to the lowest common denominator. When we get into pvp, that's where things change. Skill, memory, and dynamic situational awareness come into play, and the number goes well beyond six, and it should. Taunt, challenging call, freezing force, saber throw, force stasis, force kick, force push, awe, enure, saber reflect, saber ward, focused defense, guardian leap, and blade blitz are all used constantly. They aren't just useless buttons taking up space on your hotbars. Without them, we're a joke in pvp. We're a joke with them in ranked pvp. If you want to gut every class in the game so that none of those skills and dcds are needed, have at it. What you'll have left is nice simple little mobile game that my 5 year old nephew will be bored of in 15 minutes.
  14. I'm curious if this dumbing down of the game is a move toward mobile. It's the only explanation I can come up with for the absolute gutting of the classes. This is pokemon with lightsabers. What the game needed was an enhancement/retooling of existing abilities. If you want to cut fat, remove the mostly crap abilities you added in 6.0 and remove accuracy rating from the game.
  15. The most apt analogy I've read so far.
