Thanks for the response! Also, what if it was content I had yet to start - does that make a difference or nah?

Hi there, I'm pretty new to the game and had a question on the romances. My friend and I wanted to do the Fallen Empire campaign together, which i'm already half-way through. If I start doing those quests with him although I have yet to finish my romance with Lana Beniko or the Fallen Empire campaign, can this mess up the romance? I'm not sure how the mechanics of romancing works.
