it seems to be just whatever they want to charge extra money for they call a expansion. it doesn't even have anything to do with the levels as some people like to claim. case in point FFXI had 4 expansions without raising the level cap. then turned around and raised the cap from 75 to 99 without a expansion. it's just whatever the devs think they can get away with charging for.

well if they take that route i know they will lose my money. i won't even bother with going to prefered i will just walk away from the game altogether.

i actually proposed something like this several times during pre-beta. what i proposed was a secondary path within the raid instance that would have the soloer drop shields, seal off barracks, and disable security alarms. any raid group that entered within a short time after the soloer had finished would have less trash to deal with or would have alternate paths through the raid instance.

they already removed it once and a lot of players argued to get it back. the problem is the laugh they brought back is much louder than the soft giggle we had before. and yes we did ask that it be put on a toggle when they brought it back for people who didn't want it.

haven't they been saying that since 1.5 or 1.6?

now where have i seen this before...... oh yeah the 3 year long war that raged on the pre-launch forums. the raiders saying "you don't need it" and " but it's a MMO" over and over and over again. while the soloers wrote out complex scenarios that could be used for solo endgame. the soloers even agreed that the solo path should take longer and give gear 1 step behind raid tier but still the "you don't need it" and "but its a MMO" crowd would have none of it.

^^^ future class stories will be the deciding factor in my long term decision on supporting this game. the selling point of this game for years per-release was the individual class stories. it is why i stuck with the beta forums for years and started playing as soon as the game went live. the lack of said class stories is why i still haven't and have no plans to buy RotHC.

like i said they can spin it any way they want in my eyes it is not a expansion. doesn't matter what they want to call it. they can put a picture of a dog up on the site and call it a parakeet. doesn't change the fact that it's a dog.

that's the important part of the issue. not everyone believes as you do. to some people ( including myself) it was not a expansion and no amount of spin will make it one. you can argue the point as much as you want but i don't see it changing peoples opinion of what a "real expansion" is.

don't know where you are getting that i am mad from. is it the smiley faces? was i being rude or insulting? nope did i say i was upset about anything? nope only thing they have done that made me mad was moving away from individual class stories. so you must be projecting a emotion i am not having at the moment on to my post despite it not being there.
