  1. Nope, you're wrong, what he said is that AFTER he came back to play the game again after years he started to treat it as a single player game and never grouped up with anyone, and found the class stories and the experience pretty enjoyable then.
  2. https://kotaku.com/the-collapse-of-viscerals-ambitious-star-wars-game-1819916152 Just read this. It's not all "EA's fault", "EA is the devil" and stuff. It's not always like that, even tho some or most of their decisions are questionable at best.
  3. I don't like EA either, but the reason why they stopped the development of that Star Wars game was not because they didn't want it to be a linear single player game: it was a very troubled development process that was requiring much more time than needed. Still, closing out Visceral completely was indeed a very drastic act, I can agree on that. The loot box issue also ruined Battlefront 2, and there's no denying that since Bioware has become an EA company the quality of their games has been steadily going down. Also, if SWTOR was a single player game many of its problems wouldn't even have existed.

  5. I didn't read every post, but if you want another combat system you should change game. Asking to change it is pointless.
  6. Try playing with your companion on passive and with unmodded orange gear as I am, do some quests in some low level planet. Trust me, you're probably going to die. A silver enemy could bring you down to half HP, while an elite could kill you. It's just as hard as I want it to be, as it should be. Too bad this seems the only way to get challenged and let your brain actually function when you're fighting.
  7. That's right, I'm looking to be challenged even by simple quests and simple mobs, just like it was on release, not just in PvP, heroics (which are also very easy) or flashpoints.
  8. I haven't fought against same level enemies for a while now, so if that's true it means solving this issue is more complicated than simply readjusting the level scaling system. I'm pretty sure the developers don't care one bit about this topic though.
  9. Without armor I'm using all my abilities, of course. I thought that was obvious. I edited the previous post anyway so it's crystal clear now.
  10. Sure, much better to learn all 40 abilities at once when you reach level 65 rather then learn them slowly while playing and leveling, right? Putting your companion on passive is definitely not enough, and since you seem so good you must know that already. So I'm doing that, plus I'm using unmodded orange gear on my character. I'm level 50 on Nar Shaddaa, using all my abilities and yet I'm dying playing that way. Still, not everyone reads the forums nor they can post, and not everyone would do so much to get some challenge out of this game.
  11. Yeah, much better now, isn't it? You can outlevel content way faster now and never ever get killed while only using your standard attack and never learn anything about your class abilities. Very satisfying and challenging.
  12. I'm starting to think that the problem here is level scaling. At the moment it's completely useless because your gear is not scaled with you. So, even if they cannot change anything mob-side, they could do something player-side and make level scaling actually matter.
  13. What a coincidence! I'm a returning player myself and made a similar post some days ago about the same issue, game being too easy because you outlevel content way too quickly. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=941123 I'm not optimistic tho: it's been like this for years now and Bioware hasn't done anything. I also found out an annoying bug today that doesn't allow you to finish bonus series quests; this was found out years ago and developers never cared to fix that. It's bad, and I'm beginning to regret the 1 month subscription that I've made. Oh well, there's still time to change my mind, perhaps, I guess.
