  1. Powertechs are OP. I made one just to enjoy that fact after 1.2 and so did my hubby Everyone who disagrees is either trying to keep their own OP Powertech or does not know, what they are talking about. Powertechs do top dmg in every single warzone 500k being normal each match with everyone else getting to maybe 300k with dpsing their butts off. One on one they are impossible to kill when they have their cds up, simply due to the fact that they out dps everyone They can be kited of course, just like everybody else...but compared to all other classes they are still wayyyy too easy to play and yes, very op after 1.2. Don't kid yourself into thinking you are just a good player with you powertech XD Everyone can play them and even at lvl 14 they get number one on the list in a team with lvl 49s simply to their ridiculous dps. Nerf. Please. Balance this stuff Bioware...even though I will enjoy mine until the nerf hits :3)
  2. This has got to be SO server dependent...XD On my server Rep usually wins over Imps in huttball even with me qing solo and getting a complete pug to team with.
  3. Haha, yeah...switched from Gunnery to Assault after 1.2 hit us and am loving it to bits and pieces :3 It is NOT op, it DOES require quite some skill to play properly, survive and kill everybody - especially when you DON'T have a designated healer...if you don't kite, you die. Or suck. And proper kiting is something not many people in this game seem to be capable of ._. Nice vid Commando Assault gameplay is my favorite so far.
  4. Actually I do not care about numbers posted anywhere by anybody. I care about my own experience. And that says this: I have been with this game since beta. It was well populated, even crowded at times. Now it's almost been half a year since launch...and populations are dropping. At least on my server. And mine is still always one of the most populated ones on the list, with populations at Standard. We have 10-30 people on fleet during daytime and 50-70 during peek play times at the evenings. Finding groups takes ages now, q-pops for PvP get longer every single day...when SWTOR launched we had instant pops, now we have to wait up to 1.5 HOURS to get a pop LOL... Anybody who tries to tell me, that recent game releases (especially just now Diablo 3) did NOT take people away from SWTOR is just blind. Or doesn't want to see reality. I don't know. I am sure this will get even worse once Guild Wars 2 comes out. And this is not some troll - I love the game and won't unsubscribe. I support SWTOR and will keep doing so. But I do see drastic population drops from launch day up to now and that can not be denied -shrug-
  5. Everybody feels like that though. If I get put into a late game on the losing side with my dps toon I'm not happy either. What match you get to join when you q depends on luck for now. It's not just healers being sad and mad and screwed when they get put on the losing side in a 50-350 Alderaan or likewise. All ya can really do then is try and hurry to get your 3 medals.
  6. Nope. My husband does. Also a friend of us. I did play healing sage, switched to commando, started with healing tree and am now DPS. I've always been the healer in any other MMO we played together and finally decided to try something different as of now. But yeah, I DO know, what I am talking about. Like I said: I understand the nerf hit the healers harder than anybody else. But I also think it WAS needed, even though they overdid it a bit. And like you said: out of all the healers, your class got hit the least. Which is exactly what I said before. We don't disagree, you just think we do XD
  7. You claim to be good, so for you getting medals isn't hard. So you should be happy with 1.2 (minus the non existent ranked WZ ofc). The baddies claim to get no medals so they should be mad about 1.2. Correct? What's the gear you are talking about? You can get the Battlemaster set no? O_o I think I'm not getting your point on the gear topic, please clarify.
  8. I absolutely agree with the nerf commando healers got. The reason for them suffering most out of all the healer classes is, that they are so damn stationary. Every mobile healer is still fine, even with the nerfs...but not our poor commandos. I do not play healer myself, but when fighting them I notice the tremendous difference. It's crazy. They can't even heal themselves properly anymore, get nuked, come back same thing over again. It's really not hard anymore to just completely lock them out of the game. All other healers are fine. Especially our little stealthy healer XD The healing nerf was needed, but commandos got it a bit too hard in my opinion. I was always happy to have one in my team before 1.2 now I'm like 'Yeah whatever...' and don't even care anymore. In general I am much less worried about the healers now because they are much easier to beat. I wish it was a little harder. Because easy fights are no fights are a waste of my time. So yeah. I feel for you guys.
  9. The reason why they give the lvl 50 players 30 days free play time, is because those are the ones that had to grind their butts of to get their PvP gear sets complete and are now the ones getting laughed in the face for it, because it's so much easier to get the same gear now. Just saying. So you say people happy about 1.2 are bad? O_o Shouldn't it be the other way around? Since now you actually have to be good to get rewards in PvP, shouldn't the baddies be sad about the changes since they don't get any rewards anymore cuz they so bad? O_o Anyway. The 'nerf' wasn't really a nerf anyways, except maybe for the healers. But since everyone got a little bit of it, it actually doesn't even make that big of a difference XD People who are good, are still good, adept and move on. That's how easy it is for them. The bad players are still bad and try to hide that behind complaining that it was the big bad nerf that made them suck...it's always the same. I'm so bored, servers aren't up T_T I want to do some WZs before having to work >.>
  10. Get a guild, find yourself 3 friends that know how to play and let them teach you. Not bashing. When you're totally new to the whole thing, finding a mentor is the BEST way to get better fast. Get the best gear possible for your level, don't forget about implants, relics, earpiece etc. Use med pacs and stims to boost your stats. And learn the maps. People forget how important that is. Learn where the health buffs, speed buffs and expertise buffs are in the warzones. Learn where hiding corners are to heal back up. Know the map and know the objectives. Know what you even have to do to get those medals. Just getting the killing blow - that's ONE medal There's tons of others for other things. Short: Find someone on your server (guild or single player doesn't matter), that knows their **** and is willing to help you And just ignore everyone who calls you noob etc. They are not worth your attention :3
  11. That just made me laugh. Even though of course I agree with you wanting ranked warzones - can't wait myself and am pretty pissed they didn't even care to announce that they wouldn't do it -.- But all this 'pro-talk' and always calling everyone who doesn't agree with you 'PvE'r' and 'baddie' is such stupid nonsense XD Some PvPers are a little more mature than others. That's what it is. Some of us are good, but we don't need to show off that goodness. We enjoy fair, hard fights against people as good as us....and THAT is the reason, why us mature PvPers want ranked warzones. And we want them to work and not start on a system that's broken and might not even show the true results. Because it will be a chance for equally matched people to q up against each other and measure their skills. On someone who is a tough match. Because if you beat scrubs or noobs you can not seriously call yourself 'good' or even 'pro'. If you beat the good ones, you can. So yeah - wanting ranked warzones but wanting them only when they work properly has NOTHING to do with being bad. ROFL Then again, if you don't care about ranked warzones at all, maybe it's just not for you. But reading out of that statement that someone sucks at PvP is just ridiculous -.-
  12. This is what I found and yeah...so they made it harder to gain WZ comms - but they increased the PvP weapon prizes to 900 comms from 580? And medpacs from 10 comms to 20 etc. Meaning, that when you lose the match and get maybe 30 comms, you can't even afford to re-stock medpacs? -.- I do know they made the WZ comm/merc comm trade 1:1 but that doesn't help me over the increase in prizes for the other stuff. Why? Second time they increased prizes... O_o
  13. Just tried it out myself in a few warzones and yeah...it's all good. I always laugh at the people whining before the patch even is out and before they even tried it. We are doing fine my fellow Commando friends. It takes a little adjusting and getting the new numbers into your head so that you use the right skills at the right time - but the changes are minor and easy to implement into your playing style. So stop crying and enjoy your class <3
  14. What SWTOR really needs is an adjustment for skills from PvE to PvP. As in stats, activation costs, dmg etc change depending on if you are doing PvE or PvP. Because for PvP - yes, the healer nerf was BADLY needed. As for PvE: of course it's ******** there!!! I'd love to see that in the future. I think Guild Wars does it? When you attack a player, certain skills do much less dmg than if you attack an NPC. Same for healing and all other stats. That would certainly solve some issues PvPers and PvEers have
  15. The day is here, now let's all go play the game and try out the changes, before we judge? Seriously though: I was one of the ones spamming Grav Round when I first got it, simply because it's fun. Now that I got my class figured out more, I realized, that not using Grav Round too often is actually MUCH more effective. Using skills that are not so easy to interrupt makes you much more effective in PvP. Of course I don't like the nerf to Grav Rounds either - it's a fun skill >.< BUT. We have more than one skill and the nerf isn't THAT bad. At least the numbers. And also compared to the numbers of all the other skill changes for other classes. I am patching right now and can't wait to actually try a warzone to see what actually changes XD And then...well. Adapt or die people <3 I'd love to read the opinion of the ones who have already played today for a while and can actually judge. I'd love to get some objective opinions!!!
