  1. This is not being directed at you in a contemptuous manner. It is stating a fact. You do not NEED the best gear to do solo content, you merely WANT it. As for “putting up with ops player is not an option,” I have some bad news. If you want the iRating 330 gear, it’s the only option for now. If you want to do everything solo, there’s no point in getting the best gear. It would trivialize the game, and make you lose interest a lot quicker, since nothing would be able to touch you. If you want better gear, work with ops players. Not every ops player behaves like an elitist NiM raider stereotype. Find people out there in game willing to help you out. And I’m saying this from the viewpoint of someone who mostly does PvP. I’m totally fine with the new system, hell, I think it’s the most concise form since pre-5.0 days. There’s not a bajillion tiers of gear to go through like there used to be. And for people who are quitting because of the itemization, the entitlement is real. Wow. I know I’m in the minority here but let me put it clear as day for those of you who still haven’t figured it out yet. Working for the best gear by doing challenging content is a standard practice in MMOs, and you are not deserving of the best gear in the game simply by playing solo content. It is a reward that you must work for if you want it. This is still a “play as you wish” game with these changes, you just get rewarded according to the content you play. You do not need the best gear to do the easiest stuff. It is not contempt, it is factual.
  2. Boy. There’s a lot of complaining on this thread. “How am I supposed to learn?” “How am I supposed to know what the best set or tactical is?” Blah. Blah. Blah. The answer is: if you don’t know, ask! That’s what the chat can be used for. Ask someone to help with your class. I’m sure there are people willing to do so. Join a guild. Plenty of people in guilds are helpful. Use Google to find your stuff out on YouTube or something, if you really hate player interactions. Doing something and asking is better than doing nothing and not asking. The point is, if you ask/search for it, you’ll get help. If you don’t, and just sit here complaining on forums about it, you only have yourself to blame for your incompetence and stubbornness to not ask others for help.
  3. In addition to the spec breaking issues that have already been discussed, the Furious Mainhand Blaster has been added to the S5 Gladiatorial Weapon Box. Everything else in there is Gladiatorial weapons though. Is it possible for you folks to deploy a hotfix for these issues soon? It seems like more things broke in this patch than were fixed.
  4. If you guys end up working on fixing [HEROIC 4] The Shroud Revealed/The Shroud’s Last Stand soloable, can you turn it into a [HEROIC 2+]? Another quest that currently is soloable but should definitely also be turned into a [HEROIC 2+] is [HEROIC 4] Alchemy of Evil/Uprooting the Last Seed. I say this quest in particular because at the moment the damage done to you by mobs is absolutely ridiculous when attempting to solo it. It’s possible, it just takes a while. This would be greatly appreciated and would make doing these quests more fun in the future.
  5. Hey man, just don't wintrade 1head. It's obvious you did something sketchy enough so that BioWare would ban you from doing ranked. You admitted that you stucked it AKA throwing for the enemy team. Drunk or not, it doesn't excuse your actions.
  6. You're absolutely right, but that Grit Teeth one is new for me. If that's true, ew. Based on testing it seems that the Warmonger utility actually causes Force Charge to wait out the full 15 seconds, even if you're still in combat and need to leap to something that's disrupting your healer or the boss pushed you back. It's a complete disadvantage, and I'm hoping it gets fixed in 6.2, but I'm not holding my breath.
  7. This is definitely a step in the right direction. I do think, however, that the big thing that needs to be addressed is the amplifier system. Personally, I think that there should not be the amplifier system. It makes everything so much more needlessly complex than it has to be. But this is good. Remove the RNG, please. Don't be like Battlefront 2, which is what I was worried that this game was headed towards with the Spoils of War system.
  8. So, I kind of get where you're coming from, but I think you're missing the point. People that are min/maxing ARE using the same sets. There's no difference from one fully min/maxed sniper to another, for example, other than skill. The only bit of customization we have is the skill trees. That's fine. What should happen is for us to have 1 expertise set of gear for PVP, and one set for PVE w/out expertise. Also, changing the disciplines up a little more by adding a new ability/whatever else. Edit: When I say "one set" I mean one per class/spec, not one universal set for every DPS/heal/tank. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear.
  9. Just like the title says. I for the life of me cannot understand the point of having five different sets to work towards, when only one or two per class are worthwhile. It seems unnecessarily convoluted. So here's what I propose. (I know it won't be implemented at this point but it's worth a shot): -Nix the five different sets. Per class, have 1 set that is for PVE, and 1 set that's for PVP. (Different set bonuses, the PVP set will have that sweet sweet e x p e r t i s e, etc.) -Keep the tactical items, since that looks like it's gonna be major. Nix the amplifiers, though. Those seem like useless RNG. Honestly, it will make people have more fun in the game, and if there is a steady stream of content incoming, and I'm guessing there is, more people will be ready for the new content, without having to worry about grinding endlessly.
  10. Since 4.0, every heroic quest in the game has become soloable. All but one. The Shroud Revealed/The Shroud's Last Stand. The final Macrobinocular quest. Is it in any way possible that the quest would be fixed in 5.10.3 or 6.0? As it would keep consistent in the theme of making every heroic soloable.
  11. Make Maul do full damage with Duplicity/Infiltration Tactics regardless of positioning.
  12. It's an instance bug. You have to switch instances or it becomes unbearable.
  13. I may be asking a broken record of a question here, but as you (the developers) have mentioned a couple of times about potentially bringing back PVP gear, can we expect it (and warzone commendations as currency to get said gear, ofc) to be returning in 6.0? It would make PVP so much more enjoyable.
  14. Just bring back expertise rating, which will reintroduce PVP gear. Let the PVPers have their own gear and let the PVEers have their own gear, just as it used to be. This way people can focus on doing the content that they like (like what every other MMORPG has) instead of having one type of gear. Gearing right now is, if I'm being honest, a complete nightmare. It takes a few months to gear one toon, instead of a few weeks like it used to be. To bring PVPers back, bring back the old gearing system for PVP, which was simpler and made it much easier to gear.
