    Too few to PvP

For every one of us here that actually want to play SWTOR and want the urgent problem of low population resolved, there are probably far more that are just giving up and unsubbing without a forum post at all. So this post is just a bump in hopes someone from Bioware will actually see this thread and does something to fix things before its too late.

    Too few to PvP

+1...It's all been said here already, I have nothing to add. I support this post with all my heart. I am on Firaxan Shark and my story is the same as everyone here. MERGE SERVERS and/or allow CROSS-SERVER PVP QUEUES.
  3. Many good ideas there. 4v4 or 6v6 is maybe the best of them all. Have I missed something though? Why is cross-server PVP such an impossible thing for Bioware? If we had that, then really for us folks that like WZs low server population wouldn't be that big of an issue. But yes, its killing me to do all the daily quests I can stand while queued, then go stand around on Fleet waiting for queue to pop, window shopping gear that, at the rate I am going, I will be able to buy in six months if I am lucky. Server merges seems like another way to help. Just take say three-four low population servers and merge them into one server.
  4. I appreciate your work on this very much. Valor rank 60 is slow coming to me on my server, so all I can do at this time is a second-best set using Champions gear, but this gives me something to work toward. If I read about the 1.1.5 patch correctly, there will be a new tier of PVP and PVE gear, plus we can pull the base mods from our purple armor. I think these will be slot-specific and you retain set bonuses.
  5. Kaliyo, hands down. That gal is all kinds of freaky.
  6. I just used greens that were quest rewards or bought off GTN every 2-3 levels while levelling, once in a while getting lucky on a blue. At 50 you can buy a good one with Corellia commendations, then from there, there are purples you can get from PVE and PVP rewards.
  7. Or at least let us use a blaster pistol, which seems more like what an operative would use in most cases. And it seems it wouldn't be that hard to just say oh hey you can now equip a pistol in the main hand slot as well as rifle.
  8. Right now I'd say Biochem is the best choice by far. Now that being said, patch 1.2 is suppossed to be giving some buffs to all crew skills to make them all end-game viable.
  9. Because the Grammar Police are giving you a hard time, and I regard you as a buddy, please allow me to give you some sentences with examples of "board" and "bored" in them. "I am so bored with that guys ceaseless trolling that it's not funny." "I would like to bludgeon that guys head into a bloody pulp with a heavy oak board." Just trying to help, not being a smart alec about it.
  10. I am at work, not where I can log into game, but I am thinking Centurion gear is the lower tier of level 50 PVP gear? And Rakata is the highest tier of PVE gear, so I was mainly trying to say even without any Expertise on the Rakata, the stats would simply overwhelm the Centurion. Thats my THEORY for sure, not fact.
  11. Yes, for sure. We know that surge starts getting some serious diminishing returns at around 240, 38-40 percent crit is God's plenty. We just really dont need accuracy at all, as Concealment Op anyways. Cunning and Power I don't think have any caps, though. I also steer clear of Alacrity. So at least I know of 2 CEP values that would be very low, Accuracy and Alacrity. Also there would have to be two scales of CEP for PVE and PVP, Expertise being used only in PVP and Endurance carrying a bit more weight there as well.
  12. Thanks for responding, very much. And I do understand the importance of Expertise in PVP, it's just that at some point theres going to be that awesome PVE piece that just outperforms the PVP piece. I was just hoping for some help in determining when that point was. Lets say 1 percent Expertise increases our PVP damage by 1 percent and reduces the damage received by 1 percent. But if you could replace a piece of gear that gives 1 percent Expertise with a piece with no Expertise but would increase your damage output by 3 percent and give a boost to endurance in the bargain would that not be better? Or another way to put it, someone in full Rakata gear versus someone in full Centurion gear, all things being equal my money would be on that Rakata wearer, just because of the huge difference in stats, even though the Centurion has far more Expertise. So there is a point where stats outweigh Expertise, I am just trying to figure out when that is. Of course, Rakata versus Battlemaster is a whole nother thing and the BM would have the edge there.
  13. What I am wondering is this: Is there a way to determine if a certain piece of PVE gear may actually be better for PVP than a comparable PVP piece? I understand the non-PVP piece would have no Expertise, but there must be a point where we say, Hey this piece increases my endurance and cunning enough to live without the 48 Expertise. I guess to do this we would have to come up with some value to give each stat for PVP, and I also guess for each spec that may also vary some. Cunning Equivalent Point, for lack of a better name, so for instance: 1 Cunning = 1 CEP 1 Endurance = .8 CEP 1 Expertise = 1.2 CEP 1 Power = .9 CEP 1 Crit Rating = .75 CEP, and so on. THESE ARE NOT ACTUAL FIGURES, I am just making an example. This is where I need the help theorycrafting. That way we could look at a certain piece of gear and say hey, even though its not PVP, it actually scores higher than my PVP piece. Say if we have an Implant with 103 Cunning, 87 Endurance, 48 Power and 39 Surge we could add up the CEP versus a PVP piece with 80 Cunning, 76 Endurance, 48 Expertise, and 44 Crit Rating to decide which is better. Again I just made these stats up to illustrate what Im trying to get at.
  14. The new thing that irks me is the redundant statement. Bad player is bad. Cute cat is cute. Whatever, its teh terribadz.
