  1. its pretty simple: do PvP to get valor; do FPs (etc) to get social points. Are we all just in the mood to give everything away, now.
  2. The issue you are experiencing now is a direct result of attacks on this other guild specifically for the reasons stated as your concern now. There was really no other way this was going to play out. The advice given which centered on contacting BW directly with proof that Macros were being used is the only way this should go. I am not sure if you were around lurking for this other guys threads, but they are almost identical. You are just barking up the same tree. Are they using Macros? Maybe they are (which is against the ToS) maybe they are not, but without proof that they are then there is nothing anyone can do. I am sure, though, that more scrutiny might happen, but to expect BW to come back and give you personal attention on matters that, honestly, are not any of your business is bit...entitled? regardless, at least you have not made multiple threads using different angles.
  3. if on passive, yes, they will watch you get slaughtered or triumph without batting an eye.
  4. This never ends. Opposed. To say any more is to invite drama which, to be honest, not interested.
  5. Under section 37B of the contract signed by him, it states quite clearly that all offers shall become null and void if - and you can read it for yourself in this photostatic copy: I, the undersigned, shall forfeit all rights, privileges, and licenses herein and herein contained, et cetera, et cetera... Fax mentis incendium gloria cultum, et cetera, et cetera... Memo bis punitor delicatum! No Macros! It's all there, black and white, clear as crystal! You stole fizzy lifting drinks! You bumped into the ceiling which now has to be washed and sterilized, so you get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!
  6. Many years ago I was up at night watching infomercials and shop at home on the TV. this was before the internet and i didnt feel like loading up a game on my sega or NES....so i watched. On one home shopping network they were selling fantasy swords. The guy selling them was really excited about the sword and kept remarking on how it was a limited edition, signed and numbered. I dont remember the number, but it was limited so something like 2000 swords or less. He was really excited and, for a brief second, i got excited too. And then he said words that till this day i think of whenever i read about limited editions and offers..."This sword (he said) was limited edition.........and it sells out every time its on the show." i blunk twice when he said that....so what he was saying is that it was just limited right now, but it will be back later on for another round of sales with the same limited edition title and numbering. The sword, as a collectible, was worthless. It would probably look great hanging on someones wall, but as an investment it was worth less than the cheap materials they probably used to make it in the first place. what this boils down to is that whenever i read that something is a limited time offer i simply read, this time, its limited and next time it will be limited. Now i have refrained from a lot of these discussions because i do believe games should have exclusive items that are truly limited. I wont get into the reasons why, but will just say that I do. agree or disagree thats fine, too, as your opinion is just that. regardless, they will continue to get mileage out of companions as time goes by and just know that when bioware says, "limited time offer" they are like the home shopping guy trying to sell a sword...its limited this time...and next time they offer it it will be limited, too, and so forth each time. have fun, stay safe, and be good to each other.
  7. before you won x50 from the emp slots this wasnt an issue. try scaling that down instead. much easier to change 50 to 25 or even 10 than it would be to redo the payout tables. edit: now that you dont spend all your time at the low end machine working on the "lucky" buff--the part that took the credits out of circulation. now everyone spend there time at the kingpin machine and do not really care about the lucky buff since you get so many kingpins from the emp. seems that is where the issue really stems from. besides, they wont change it now...too close to the end of the event. or is it x500. i stopped doing the even weeks ago.
  8. At this point, do you really think they care to fix this? I certainly dont think they ever had any intention.
  9. Mail them to one of your other toons. Get then from the mail, then they will then be available to use as legacy currency. This is what i did.
  10. I started explaining LOS because they seemed to be having a hard time dealing with mobs spread out; each one attacking in their own little world and dying. I was attempting to help make the second easiest FP go smoother. i also didnt call them toxic...far from it in the grand scheme of things, but this was as good as place as any to tell an interesting tale of a recent experience. in all, like I said, a blessing. My next two FPs went great with a 7 folks that had fun.
  11. i would assume it is because folks dont like to lose. if you lose the majority of the time...why even play? By getting your token back, you might not have "won" so to speak, but you get another chance at winning having "won" your token back increasing your chances at actually winning. Yes, it can be tedious, but arent casinos like that anyway? Had Kingpin tokens not come so readily from emp machines im not even sure if this would even be an issue.
  12. I have a toon that i started leveling a few weeks ago that i dusted off and decided to run a few FPs while i was at the casino. First FP was, you guessed it, hammer station. I am with three folks that obviously have no clue on what to do. I try to help and started explaining LoS...they charge in. They did this a couple of times...each time, though, one of them, in French, would say something about Tanks. Next thing i know i am being kicked from the group...probably the most knowledgeable about the FP, but, OK. I took it as a blessing. the next two FPs went smooth. i will admit, though, i was a little annoyed at this guy kicking me and how ready the other two were to agree, but, like I said, a blessing. First time in a long time i have been kicked from a group for nothing other than being DPS while everyone else was DPS....and i was the highest level toon. regardless, i have had some really bad groups in the past, but most of the time they just leave on their own or folks will initiate the kick. Had this one guy that would constantly pull and type Meow. Ha, now, but at the time was annoying.
