    xp off at 49!

The PvP stat padding is to make the PvE players feel less ignored when their gear means nothing compared to the PvP star who just joined their raiding schedule for the first time and somehow out-performs everyone else. By giving benefits exclusive to PvP on PvP gear, it forces some PvE gear staging.

I did the 59 Honor farming in WoW... it pretty much just turned in to Win trading, or working a queue'ing rhythm with the opposing faction's best team to guarantee an easy match. Our gear didn't win us the matches. We played naked when we got bored. It was a matter of coordination and the grouping of competent players. Point being... You can't force a fair fight by trying to tweak the system in the way you propose. "The more you tighten your grip, the more will slip through your fingers" I don't have a solution, per say... I'm just saying; you're focusing on the wrong mechanic. It's not a matter of gear. Perhaps it's the PUG/Premade debate... Regardless, expecting perfectly fair competition in PvP is somewhat futile. Even if it's skill based, whomever brings together the most skilled players has a clear advantage. It will always be frustrating for everyone else.
  3. I do the same with Republic Dancer...

    Scoundrel OP

Scoundrels are incredibly brittle. They have great burst, but they get taken down easily if you focus them with any sort of coordinated effort. Sounds to me like the other team just had you on lockdown.
  5. Not a Win for those without Smartphones... I have an iPhone, mind you... I just don't think this is a good idea, despite how cool it would be to gain oodles of credits while at work. It would simply break things, IMO.
  6. Try playing with it some more. What was the original number? Try further increasing said number and see what happens. I do believe your video card will give up on life before meeting your expectations, however. Just my guess. Good luck!
  7. Still love the game, OP. No matter how much you try to cause a scene on these forums... I'm still going to enjoy the game. I started playing SWTOR without expectations. I'm not disappointed by anything, because I didn't presume I knew best regarding its gameplay design. Just because there is an obnoxiously loud minority who likes to scream their distaste for SWTOR's current state, doesn't mean others aren't still thoroughly amused. So, to answer your silly ill-intended inquiry - Yes; we're still here.
  8. Hahahaha ... ... ... BWAahahaaaa Me likey the analogy. I agree with the OP as well.
  9. "I want this but I don't want to mess with ini files" [After hypothetical change]: "BioWare, you implemented this and now my computer can't handle the game" "The option is here, so it shouldn't crash my computer. I don't care if my video card is 5 years old!" Play with the ini files; Sheesh. You guys are complaining about something that is presumably (pending rushx's test) already available! Are you joking? Edit: /cheer rushx To summarize my point... they probably left high draw distances out because the game already taxes most video cards. I don't know about you, rushx, but my 560Ti works its butt off when I force AA on. There is no harm in editing ini files, unless specifically against ToS or something (which is RARELY the case). If it's not an option in in-game menus, there is likely a reason for it. Stability, general accessibility, etc... but not to the point that it's going to actually harm anything, you know? Just get comfortable with editing graphical setting ini files - they're very common and often net some very pretty results.
  10. Stay away from AoE... DoTs and AoE are the only things that break mine... Not sure what else it could be. It's a GREAT Ability IMO.
  11. This is a perfectly reasonable request, in my opinion. I hope they do this for you.
  12. You must be looking at California Real Estate... can't buy here without a trust fund, a bunk loan, or working yourself to the bone.
  13. 85 hours a week isn't work; that's slavery... You poor man (or woman) I work 40 a week. My main is level 25 and my alts are 18 and 11.
