  1. Since you bring up the RP side of it....I would argue that the same RP aspects that are there for the force users exist for the tech users as well. I know more than a few folks who said at one point they wanted to be an Imperial Commando or Republic Sniper. Or be a Bounty Hunter working for the republic or a scruffy looking nerf herder smuggling goods for the sith. Or even just as simple as an agent using a pistol since 99% of their class story cut scenes the agent uses a pistol. It isn't just about a light side sith or dark side jedi....its about not having to throw away all of the time and effort spent developing a character only to find out now that combat style switching is coming, sorry you get screwed because you're not a force user.
  2. I haven't seen anything definitive either way. Just going off of what I've been able to do on the PTS.
  3. When you consider this....there are players, myself included, who had to chose a certain class in order to be able to play on the same side as friends, family, etc. even though that was not the class they wanted (i.e. sniper instead of gunslinger, etc.). And now, with 7.0, force users are getting to correct that should they choose to do so, no light/dark required. But not the tech classes. I tested it with a L75, L70, L32 and L1 character on test. It didn't care about alignment when I was asked if I wanted to change my primary style, nor did it care when I chose my secondary style. The only thing that was blocked was if I was using a tech combat style and wanted to swap the primary to its mirror. So now, if I really want to make my sniper a gunslinger, I have to use the second slot. Where as a force user, guardian for example, can swap right to jug with zero light/dark points or go from jug to guardian at dark 5. And then still have the rest of the styles available for their second slot. Especially if you consider you can swap builds/styles on the fly. That is imbalance.
  4. Well, they could always NGE the game....that would be beefier.... The difference between that EQ expac that was mentioned and SWTORs upcoming expac...one is made to cater to the already existing player base...the other, to cater to new players and bait to get subs up.
  5. Why are the tech classes getting the short end of the stick in 7.0 by not being able to swap their primary style to the mirror like the force users can? Just Curious....
  6. I created a new L1 on PTS as a Sith Warrior/Juggernaught. I was surprised when I was immediately able to hit the button at L1 and choose my second combat style. Even more interesting was that I was able to choose from any of the force styles. But that isn't what really made me raise an eyebrow. What really surprised me was that I was given the option, at L1, to change my primary style from Jugg to Jedi Guardian. Something I had not seen on any of the tech classes I tried it on. So my question is, why can force users swap their primary style, even with no force alignment, but tech classes cannot?
  7. I get why you would allow the force users to change their primary style to the mirror based on their force alignment. And I don't want that changed. BUT.....why can't some who is a tech class do the same thing? When I originally started playing the game, having come from SWG with a bunch of friends and guildies, I could not remake my smuggler on the imperial side so I was forced into the agent. Now, with the changes I would love to be able to turn in my sniper rifle for a set of blasters. As it sits right now, the only way to do that is to hamstring my character and take gunslinger as the secondary style. That seems like a huge oversight and mistake, not to mention polarizing against those of us who only chose a class due to the extreme limitations of the game up to 7.0. In the interest of balance and fair play, I would ask that tech classes be allowed to flip their primary style to the mirror just as the force users can. That is all. P.S. Can we get Rodians as a playable race?
  8. I have two questions regarding the "Horrible Person" title. First, once you complete the achievement and get the title, is it a legacy unlock? And second, does Speedy respawn? Thanks!
  9. It does seem a bit odd to me that force users will be able to swap their primary style but us non force sensitive types can't. Maybe it just hasn't made it to test yet?
  10. I'll second it....if anyone has a spare code I know a rodian that could put it to good use...going to give it to the wife (wifey likes the looks of the speeder, I'm more of a speederbike or backpack with jets guy)
  11. Seems like a pretty poor coordination on this with people getting multiple codes. I guess when EM said "a lot" what he meant was, a few will get more than one and most won't get any?
  12. Same problem here. I have the Reaver's upper body armor from a DvL reward pack, the lower from a regular cartel pack and just picked up the supplementary armor off of the GTN. The lower and supplementary are registering in the collection, but not the upper pieces. Is there any chance of getting this fixed?
  13. Looks like I'm in the same boat. Checked my CC log and the last "deposit" was 20 for a in game achievement. Before that, the last one was from a referral. I eagerly await the BW response.
  14. I'm looking for a sniper rifle currently available in game with either a) A very short, carbine style look or b) a bowcaster look. Any suggestions on where I can find one of the above? And what is it called?
  15. In order of what I'd like to see... Rodian Wookiee Rodian Trandoshan Ithorian Rodian Mon Cal Nautalon Rodian Weequay Nikto Talz and did I mention Rodian? And considering some of the above are already companion races with their own armor graphics, part of the work is done. Heck, I even ran past an Ithorian NPC wearing armor the other day.
