  1. Nah I want solo queue players to become better. I want the floor of every player to rise, and they can do that by learning to play by joining groups, joining voice comms and becoming a better more organized player. Iron sharpens iron. For example I'm not a pve'er. Should I expect to join a Dxun nim raid and say nah I don't need voice comms. Do I know the fights? Nah I don't but I still should be part of the team even tho I'm gonna contribute most likely to us wiping every time lol. Ya know what Devs, just lower the difficulty for me because I don't wanna prepare to play the content I just wanna hop in the raid group and have it be completely fair even tho I'm not geared properly πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  2. It's competitive. There are metrics you are going to be judged by during a pvp match, wins and losses. Would u show up to take a test unprepared? No you'd only fail yourself. So in a group setting if ur showing up to queue in pvp unprepared you are only doing a disservice to yourself and your teammates. That's why a group function even exists so you can accomplish the goal of winning matches while being a good team player. If you are hopping on to do a few matches because time restraints for example, that's fine but your expectations that you should be able to just log in and get 100% fair matches when you aren't taking the same amount of time and care other players are, is asinine tbh πŸ‘πŸ˜
  3. Solo players have access to all that if they choose, if they decide they are too lazy to organize for a TEAM game, then that's their decision. I don't understand the care bear mentality. There's a learning curve in pvp if you want to become a better player there are plenty of resources out there to do so. When you queue for a match there should be no guarantee that you are going to play against someone that is the same exact level of skill as yourself, nor should there be because it's impractical.
  4. I've been in plenty of unfair games as a solo queue player, with no premades on either team. Good solo players will still exist and they will destroy players who aren't geared or don't know how to pvp or are still learning. If a solo queue only happened next thing you'd see is ppl like yourself complaining that one side got a healer and the other didn't so ban heals or tanks from solo queue so nobody has an unfair advantage πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Smaller grouped premades are actually good for the game because they promote the way an mmo should be played as Vega has mentioned plenty of times. Players form an emotional attachement to games beacause of the social sspect and they are more likely to be regular players if they engage in the mmo side as opposed to a solo person who is more rpg driven. Premades also promote good pvp in general. Someone was complaining last night that a healer was queued with a tank, imagine having disdain for support classes. That's your average solo queue player talking lol.
  5. You are making an uninformed statement. You used to play in big premades who wanted to crush pugs and they do exist, nobody is disputing that. That'sthe exact reason almost every player in here says the groups should be reduced. Why ignore all of the smaller premades who are only queueing with a friend or two? Because it doesn't suit your narrative?
  6. Hard to discuss something like this with someone who clearly has a closed mind. You haven't even read through the posts in this thread because I stated earlier I was in a 8 man premade for the exact reason of taking on another 8 man premade in the queue. We sent them a challenge only to be declined lol. So we had to sit in queue trying to snipe them while the broken matchmaker didnt even put the two groups together πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. The only reason we got such a big group together is because we were all in smaller groups continually having to face a big 8 man completely outnumbered. So in one aspect you are right there are people out there who don't want competition. The ones who do, don't form a massive op premade to fight pugs we play with a couple friends hoping to see other premades like minded and have some good battles. Issue you have right now is the one group of people forming an 8 man, with the intention to dodge any and all smoke. That leads to players like me who don't want to queue an 8 man (because it really isn't any fun unless its a guild challenge) being forced to do so. Then matchmaker is so completely broken it pits the two 8 man premades against pugs in two completely different warzones. This happened I'd say about 80% of the time or more the past few days. So ur way off base in the assumption that all premades just want to stomp pugs first off. Second splitting the queues will only exasperate the population problem so no there really is no reason for a completely seperate queue. Third, the majority of premades are relatively small. The solution is breaking up the 8 man's, meaning those players forming two seperate groups. Then fixing the matchmaker and ensuring those groups face eachother. Edit: @Luciferior can attest to this. My group got him in a novare coast yesterday (only knew it was u cuz the guild tag lol), im sorry bro we were honestly only in such a big group to snipe a 6 man who was queing and crushing pugs. We got them one time in like 5 matches queued...and we were wating for them to exit a wz in order to queue up at the same time in the hopes of having a big match. Matchmaker is ur enemy not premades.
  7. So do you have some sort of restrictions on your account that prevents you from grouping up to play an mmo the way the game is intended, ya know with friends or other like minded people? You would think if the goal is to win matches and grouping/getting in voice comms is a more efficient way to accomplish that goal, then maybe do that instead of crying that the people who organize at a higher level have an unfair advantage. It's also a team game so grouping up with friends on a regular basis helps you create a team synergy and makes you a better player. Swapping guard, or peeling for people in your group etc.
  8. These people think every premade is a sweaty 8 man πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ And yes the group queue would be dead. Last night I grouped up with 7 other ppl to snipe another big premade who wouldn't accept a guild challenge from us lol, so you can imagine how quickly those players would jettison the game if they actually had to face real teams every match. As I said before there are outliers of people who take pleasure in just destroying the poor solo queue players, and the devs are completely enabling that behavior by refusing to fix the group size max. That's the issue imo not the actual premades themselves.
  9. This couldn't be further from the truth. Most premades are like 2 or 3 friends who also want good matches, which usually means they want to take on a strong group with another modestly sized premade. There are outliers that only queue in massive groups because they really do want to just stomp their way through the queue, not sure how that's considered fun but yes it happens. When these kinda groups form the reaction from many vet pvp'ers in queue, is to form up to take them on. Nobody wins in this scenario because matchmaker is simply broken. The two big groups, one mostly dodging smoke from an actual team, and one trying to snipe the other team, simply don't get matched often enough leaving the poor solo queue ppl to suffer the consequences of said broken matchmaking in game. The fix could not be easier but the devs are sitting on their hands. Fix the matchmaker and reduce groups to 4 max. That would fix the majority of problems but we get nothing for whatever reason, date night is more important I guess lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  10. Here's where we disagree. What u are basically saying is that getting the achievement is tantamount to a participation reward, u want the chievo simply by sleep walking your way through the season. It's exactly why pvp players like myself are upset with the pvp seasons because it doesn't reward people who win matches all you have to do is queue and win or lose you can get all the rewards. In this instance yes if you really want that little box clicked off in ur legacy tab then maybe u should grind a bit more than the casual. The rep track had traditionally been achievable just by working your way through the season. However, things that were tied to the achievements have also traditionally been associated with a grind ie finishing 100 weeklies. So I don't see a massive departure in the way seasons are working here. I do agree tho that these fragments should have a higher drop rate, because at this point the achievement seems unattainable even for people who want it.
  11. Have the devs addressed this at all yet? I could imagine if they see nobody even nearing the objective they'll make some tweaks. Brazzes gift or whatever doesn't work either? Idc about trash or the gear drops so I hardly ever loot unless it's a yellow, but I swear I've picked up extra blueprints here and there.
  12. Define what u mean by halfway through the season. Doesn't the season go for 5 months or so? Don't think we even a month in at this point. Do you mean half way through the rewards track. Anyways on topic its a pointless grind for the blueprints just for an achievement. I'm not an achievement type person so I usually just ignore that aspect of stuff, especially if there's not a tangible reward behind it. The title you get from seasons is way better anyways, and iirc it's not tied to grinding the trash.
  13. Yeah damn instead of finishing 6 weeks early I might only finish 5 weeks early πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  14. People are up in arms because it's an underhanded tactic to force more of a grind. Let's look at context, we get very little new content. 2 dungeons in the last 5 years. Every 6 months or so we get a bit of story and a daily area. So what have they done to keep players busy...gear grind. As opposed to past expansions where a new gear cap is released upon expansion and there's one grind they decided to continually increase the gear rating throughout the expansions, giving players busy work to accomplish in between the small story updates we get. How do you get gear? By grinding conquest for tech frags and conquest comms. So they raised the cap from 50k to 100k...more grind. Then as the grind was palatable with the rep token, they remove it, which equals...you guessed it more grind. They've trained the players to grind for gear, they've trained them to play alts. Then they go and make changes that effect the amount of time it takes you to accomplish those things. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that the only reason for these changes are to purposely stunt player progress in order to keep them logged into the game longer to do inane tasks. Again if there were actual content I have no problem spending all day playing an mmo. But when they've created all these systems that revolve around old content for ur char to make progress in the game....it's not a surprise players are up in arms.
  15. I think ur a little confused. Why do u think people grind conquest? Just to stare at the worthless points at the end of the week and admire their work? Lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
