  1. This does not appear to be the case. Placed my boy in a cantina yesterday, day after your post, logged in today to find a whopping total of 14 rested XP (which must have accumulated while online in the cantina between log outs). If you think that you have found any sort of workaround for this problem, please experiment and post your findings for the rest of us. Otherwise, problem persists as of this post.
  2. Yeah, checked the patch notes for the first time ever, just to see if this would be on there. It's insane to me that this is not top of the list. I guess giving us double XP or any sort of workaround would mean acknowledging a, frankly at this point, embarrassing problem. EDIT: They are perfectly capable of making double XP events. Subscribers should get double XP until this is fixed. If this can only be given out globally, everyone should get double XP. You broke your game, it's your job to either fix it or solve the problem temporarily for the people who are paying for this decade old rollercoaster of a consumer experience.
  3. Every other time I learn something about this game, I get sad for it. Thank you, though. You have been extremely helpful.
  4. Thank for your answer and offer. Unfortunately, I'm on Darth Malgus. So a bunch of looks are just no longer available in the game? That seems so stange in contrast to their commitment lately to offer replicas for the old PVP season items. Have they said anything in defense of why these items/looks cannot be made available in other ways (such as a vendor, or just letting the old loot still drop from where it did before in addition to the new so we can grind for it)?
  5. Hey guys, Just came back after a few years break, and playing mostly for the story. Playing a consular right now, but looking to level a knight after I'm done. I'm not sure I completely understand how loot works in flashpoints now, with the level adjustment and all. For me the outfit makes the man. I built the jedi knight's outfit around this specific item, the Esseles Sentinel's Tunic (TORCommunity, Jedipedia), which drops from a boss in the esseles Flashpoint. My question is; can I obtain this item in the game still, and if so, can I do so only around a specific level, or can I grind my heart out to obtain it? I would not mind having to buy it off someone on the GTN, but the specific item I'm after binds on pickup, so that's not an option... Thanks for reading my question.
  6. Really? Then it truly seems misleading that they call it double XP. It seems they might just as easily have written: double XP from creatures/mobs... Thanks for your swift reply
  7. I resumed playing a few weeks back, and in all the hours I’ve spent in a galaxy far, far away, my rested XP has not yet depleted. I found this odd, as it has always been between 100.000 and 200.000 XP, even though I sometimes put several levels in a day. Thus I have conducted and experiment: I monitored the start and finish values of my XP and my rested XP while, by help of the groupfinder, completing the flashpoint ‘Maelstrom Prison’, thus determining if it really doubled the amount. My findings were less than satisfactory: (I would have absolutely adored putting these in a more manageable diagram, but I fear the forum structure does not allow it) Observation 1: XP gained: 90750 Rested XP depleted: 13496 (14.9% of gained XP) Observation 2: XP gained: 99131 Rested XP depleted: 16855 (17%) Observation 3: XP gained: 89896 Rested XP depleted: 12737 (14.2%) Observation 4: XP gained: 80347 Rested XP depleted: 14529 (18.1%) Observation 5: XP gained: 63249 Rested XP depleted: 13848 (21.9%) So… It’s not really double XP, now is it? More like kind of sort of almost nearly close to +20% XP… I’m not trying to be a moron about it; maybe there’s just something I don’t understand. That’s why I’m asking here. What is the deal? Is this a bug or have I understood the system wrong? All I know is that it says: “you are in a rested state. While in a rested state you gain double XP. You can get into a rested state by logging out of the game in a cantina.” In my book, double XP means that you gain double the XP, and as it doesn’t specify from what, I must assume from everything (quests, mobs, etc.), but as I don’t gain double XP, I must assume I’m doing something wrong. Thank you.
  8. I'm not even going to dignify this with anymore answers. I did say I was sorry and I did try to be polite, but clearly you can't comprehend the fact that I didn't mean to offend anyone. No matter how much you deny it, you are offended. Your persistence to convince me that I have wronged everyone who helped me, but without offending you, offends me. I also have to commend on the fact that I think losing all respect for a person just because of a simple misunderstanding seems quite rash to me, but I can only say that the feeling is mutual. P.s.: "... the error of your ways." Who in the everloving blazes do you think you are? It's not like I poured acid on your dog...
  9. Well. Bullocks. Thank you guys for your help
  10. Hey there I have a question, which can be answered with a simple yes or no: Is there a way to map a certain series of items to be equipped by the pressing of a single key/icon? I have a lot of good gear, and then I have my gear that looks good. Sadly, such labeled rarely describe the same gear. So there. Thank you
  11. Listen, I never criticized anyone for giving me help. I have nowhere claimed to be an expert. All suggestions, as mentioned, were appreciated, but you can't expect me to list every single thing I do, in my initial report, and therefor it is only to be expected that I might get a few suggestions of things I already do. I made a short list to limit the size of my initial post, in order not to discourage people from reading it. I did thank everyone, even the ones who didn't help me as such, because I appreciate their effort and they deserve thanks just as much as the ones whose help actually helped. I didn't complain at all. And another thing; when you make a post like that, surprise: It's because you are offended...
  12. Thank you all for your suggestions. Most of it I already did (I won't bore you with what, but some of your suggestions were a little rudimentary, albeit appreciated ), but now I've found what an amazing source of gear an XP the flashpoints really are! Yesterday I was simply in queue all the time, while going about my daily business, and whenever a dungeon came up, I'd do it. Yesterday I went up five levels, from 25 to 30, and replaced almost all my gear with better stuff, just by being in queue and doing points when I could. That's pretty cool Turns out that speechless communication isn't quite as bad as I imagined it, though still not optimal. I thought I might be a burden to people, being a beginner and all, but turns out that most of the people I've played with so far aren't a whole lot better. Between tanks that don't hold aggro, ninja-pullers/looters, and healers not doing their job all too well (which, granted, they probably have the hardest job of the group, along with the pressure of being blamed for failure), I'm actually quite a decent teammate. Thank you all for your help. This game rocks, but mostly when you don't die all the time... You guys rock as well
  13. I know this will make me sound like a wuss, but I think this is hard as hell! I have been playing for a week. I am a level 25 [DPS (Vigilance)] Jedi Guardian on Red Eclipse, and I just got to Tatooine. My situation is that I can barely scrape by fighting mobs one or two at a time, and when a boss comes along, I often die once or twice taking down the ads (minions), and then once or twice more trying to take down the boss itself. I often suspect it is just luck when I succeed. It was like this all the way through Nar Shaddaa, and it has only gotten worse… I do not get why I find this game so hard: I have all abilities available to me, and I consider myself moderately skilled at using them properly. My gear is so good that nothing I have gotten from quests or drops have compared for several levels. I always bring a companion into battle (as cannonfodder, mainly), simply out of fear that I would die without it. I die a lot. Why? I am all for a game being challenging, but this is just downright slaughter… And I do not appreciate it. Any tips on how to get stronger [/better gear/etc.] are welcome Thank you P.s.: I have not yet gotten into the whole Warzones/Flashpoints/Operations thing yet, as I, for one, thought I would play the story first, and secondly, am lacking friends who play, and I do not particularly like doing missions with people I cannot hear. That is not optimal communication on my book…
  14. I would like to start out by saying that it is an amazing font that you’ve created, and that the ligatures are an amazing tool, which works wonders for the entire thing. This font alone has enabled me to change an entire 61 page text into Aurebesh, and thereby I have learned to read it just as speedily as anything else. For this I thank you. However, I do have two small things, which I will urge you to take an extra look at: First and foremost: The numbers of your font. I have tried to find out where you got them, but I’m drawing a blank. They are certainly different from the ones in this article: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Aurebesh I am curious as to where you found them, and I do by no means proclaim them wrong. I am simply curious as to which signs are canon. Secondly: When using the Italics, in order to use the inverted capitals, the inverted capitals appear fuzzy. I think this would be relatively easy to fix, as one would simply have to re-render the fuzzy letters into sharper ones, resembling their un-inverted counterparts. Two simple suggestions Still amazing work! Thank you
