  1. It seems like I should be able to get Iokath recombinators on Iokath itself. I'd like an option to buy these with shards
  2. Legacy ignore needs to have a temporary (maybe 30 days) list and permanent list. Also the ability to block a single character name only. Perhaps I'm wanting to avoid bad healer or tank, but the person might be perfectly competant as dps. I'm often wanting to block someone who is annoying eg. drunk posting, just having a bad day, or ranting politics whether i agree or not, i'm not coming to swtor to hear about those issues. However, it doesn't mean I never ever want to run something with that person. A short term ban option would work much better in these cases. Also i think a permanent only list is generally bad for new players as they more apt to make a series of miscues in group content and will wind up on ignore lists at a greater rate than more experienced players. Some of you might say ...hey I just purge my list every 6 months..but in practice i doubt most other people are doing that sort of housekeeping.
  3. I'd like see us get one of the companions from the crew. Maybe Ashy on pub side or Writch Hurley on imp side. Structure it just like the pvp comps Lt Pierce or M1-4x, where you need to complete a certain number of matches to get the companion, and similarly we earn influence for each GSF match and double for each win. At least maybe let us earn some influence on some companion like Yuun, if we can't get one the gsf crew companions.
  4. The capital ships could have an interdiction drone effect on the opposing spawn campers, slowing the speed and turning rate slightly. maybe with a 10000m range. I don't think it would hurt the playability of a given map, and would add an extra element of strategy to the match. At the core, the real cause of this problem though is grossly negligent match making. This has been mentioned before by people for literally years, but has been met with utter indifference when it comes to even making a small effort towards correcting the problem. Match making should NOT be based on legacy level as it has very little correlation to how a player will perform in GSF or whatever system they are using. Match making should be based on a player rating formula, that combines the upgrade level of your ship with your average performance (or medal count) in gsf (legacy wide). These numbers are already tracked in places within the gsf hanger interface thingy. Even using the starfighter achievements as a basis for match making would be an improvement, albeit less elegant than a specific GSF rating system.
  5. Really, we should get some small amount of extra game time added to our subscription. One extra day (24 hour period) per year should be enough to offset; 1 the gratiutous updates, sometimes more than once a month 2 occasional problems with servers going down 3 the server being extremely laggy after a patch that playability suffers or makes playing undesireble for a period. It's reasonable that every 60 days they should do an update. It's not reasonable to lose game time because patches or hot fixes needed to occur more frequently, because they failed to perform adequate quality assurance testing, before pushing new code or fix some other problem with their software. Sometimes they are even willing to make you lose game time to just "fix" an issue with players being able to do something quicker then they had anticipated. This should never happen. Think about it, if it's something else you pay monthly like cable TV, when you don't get all you channels or no service, You call the companies and they usually are willing to give you some credit on your bill. Your cell data is out or extremely slower due to some outage or network problem, then you call CS and they are mostly good about giving you a credit or offer a discount on a phone upgrade or some such thing to give you offsetting value for the failure to provide the service. Even the electric company is not charging you for electricity when the power is out and they are the most obstinate to deal with in my experience. It should be the same here with our monthly subs and a pet or some in game tech frags really is not good enough
  6. No it's not entirely compatible. If while doing a heroic you've qued for flashpoints Athiss, Mandalorian raiders, Cademimu, and Hammer Station (the mostly commonly qued flashpoint in the game), you have to finish it on the fleet to get "all" the social points. This leaves you without an easy way to resume your heroic, but a 15 minutes cd would mostly alleviate this problem. Now, you could leave the fp group after the last boss, and go back to the fleet later after the heroic, but you'll lose out on the group convo. The second issue is if you just finished a heroic on a planet and port to your stronghold or guildship, if you try to directly port to your next heroic on that same planet , it places you unnecessarily back at the first heroic you just finished. This ancient bug would be somewhat mitigated if the cooldown was shorter, as I could bounce back to that heroic after a shorter time passed. In practice, I "exit back to the planet" before transporting to the next heroic, but this is easy enough to loose track of sometimes and forget to do it, leaving me stuck with a Felucian hour to wait or hoof it back. Thirdly, several non-instanced heroics have issues with too few required npcs like "Mutated" on Taris or "Hit'em where they live" on Balmorra", to name a few. It would be quite helpful if we could move onto another mission then circle back to that mission after a shorter 15 minutes cd, instead of having to wait a whole hour.
  7. Group finder should have an "Other" catch-all category. Colicoid war, Star fortresses, maybe even eternal championship, and master mode chapters perhaps. I think heroic missions used to be in group finder if i'm not mistaken.
  8. At least some small minimum requirement is really needed. I've seen several players sand bagging it recently since i started to pvp again. Here's my proposal. You must have a valor rating of 5 (or maybe 10) to get credit for a warzone for conquest, seasons etc. It's very easy/quick to get to level 5, but it should weed out many of the trolls. You're auto-nominated for kick/removal , if you get ZERO stats /ZERO medals after 1 round in arena round or 3 minutes on a full map . The kick to be voted on by other players. The system should bring up a message box for voting just like in flashpoints. Furthermore you become eligible to be kicked by another player if you fail to perform the following: >Arenas get 2 medals per round OR 100k damage, or 100k healing or 100k protection per round. >Full maps; 25k per minute of the following damage, healing or protection. The one exception if you have medals for guarding a node. One medal for every 3 minutes if your other stats fall below 25k per minute. If you're less someone can initiate a kick vote on you. To be kicked from a warzone One player must support a kick nomination in an arena. Two players must support a kick on a full map warzone. Penalties; >Players kicked get no credit for the warzone (conquest, seasons etc), >A 15 minute lockout of requeing, >A loss of 5000 valor points. The valor rating penalty is to encourage continued good faith participation. A cumulative negative valor rating may result in a restriction on wz queing. In an Arena an additional 45 seconds between rounds is given to allow for a team to refill after a sucessful kick.
  9. I would like an option of being able to freeze unused companions in Carbonite until I need/want them. So they are not visible and clogging up the readability and navigation of the companion/contact menu. Then have an option to retrieve them from the terminal on Odessen. if I ever want to use them. I still want to do my alliance missions, I just don't need to see all the companions. As for crew skills, a better solution would be to equip each character with a galactic smart phone. The purpose, so I can assign crew members on other characters with crew missions without having the tedium of logging off/on then back on my toon. Maybe a limit of 4 missions per other character to start out and see how this impacts the game and economy.
  10. People on the same team need to be able to communicate, to warn of potential opposition capping, coordination of targets in arenas etc. People in premades already have an advantage as they are often in voice chat...no need to make this competitive disparity worse, by disabling text chat for their opposition. Solution: Like ftp players have a cd in gen chat. Make it so pvp gen chat channels have a cooldown ***which is not applicable of course in their own group/ops chat***. A 5 minute cd seems about right in this situation. I mean a little trash talk is kind of fun, sometimes cross team chat is congratulatory/ apologetic..(good try or sorry for this between teams). We just want to eliminate the excesses.
  11. In the present day I find this particular limitation highly out dated, annoying and involves tedious management. Many times I delay queing for group content to finish other missions just to clear my log. It's kinda ridiculous I need to do this... lol and seems contrary to developer goals to stimulate group content . I'm locked out from queing at all through group finder for flashpoints etc, if my log is full Since game roll out the following lengthy daily areas/ missions were added. This quickly fills up the log; > 10 missions required for Iokath weekly, that must stay in your log for 2 days realistically, **however there's even more possible missions than 10** on Iokath. > 20 total on Ossus, counting the weekly, the 12 different dailies, 3 heroics, a heroic weekly, a daily five side mission patrol quest, and a few that relate to killing the 2 world bosses. >12 I think for Dantooine event; 8 daily, 3 heroics & weekly itself. I have avoided Dantooine so I could be off but it's alot regardless. > 10 Yavin 4 missions I could do, thats 8 daily missions plus the weekly and weekly Revan. CZ-198, Oricon and Ziost weeklies were also added, while easily completed in a one sitting, it is still more missions. >Gsf weekly now requires 10 (used to be 7) making it stay in my log longer. People are grabbing more heroics to do since Kotfe than originally in 2011 when the game was new. Many more weekly events have been added since 2011 and a player should be able to save their progress for next time rather than forfeiting time spent on partial completion. Rakghoul, Gree, Swoop, Pirate event etc Potential Solutions 1) Simply add 5 to 10 more mission slots in the log. I'm perfectly ok with this being a sub only benefit and/or cartel market unlock for the extra missions to help fund the dev costs. 2) Alternatively, make a 2nd tab for tracking on going weekly missions, event missions and achievement missions. These missions should not count towards a persons 25 total cap, which potentially can force a player to abandon and lose progress on something to free up log space. 3) Do not count bonus missions acquired while questing against the 25 mission cap. This interferes with grabbing missions along the way with npcs that you encounter.....MORE importantly interferes potentially with queing group content if the mood strikes my fancy, if I made the "mistake" of picking up a bonus mission with a nearly full log. 4) Please move achievement missions into the legacy system and allow speeder rewards to be claimed from the legacy pane. I'm talking about the four aratech speeder missions. For players with in-progress outstanding active missions just give them credit for missions they have done already. This is already tracked on their legacy any way. 5) Remove the group finder block if a player is at the cap limit. PLEASE. this is the most important of all my suggestions. What ever reason this limitation was put in place to solve...I submit in 2021 is likely less important now than facilitating group activity.
  12. Well ok fine then, but they are able to get there some how..because they were there
  13. This exactly, ^ Your not forced to do pvp for anything: intro missions, galactic season or getting a companion everything for pvp is voluntary. You want the 46 rated newbie gear from the pvp intro mission craft it or buy it on the Gtn. You want galactic seasons points do other objectives, reroll, use coins they give you for free for GS points. Heck they even let you run it on other servers if you're trying to farm GS tokens. You can completely ignore the pvp missions. You want Pierce or M1-4x, well there's plenty other companions in the game both as in game rewards and cartel market(which can also be bought off the gtn).
  14. I think the solution might be to make a similar crystal to the pre-order crystal, but distinctly not the same. I believe the pre-order crystal is black with a sharp yellow outline right? This is similar to the crystals black-blue, black-red, black-purple and black-orange crystals that we could reverse engineer from ops drops and craft. There are also cartel market crystals called striated for red and orange version where the outline is wider and not as sharp. Maybe sell a yellow-striated crystal on the CM or as an ingame reward for the next galactic seasons.
  15. It was the main cz-198 spawn point when you use the character unlocked convenience travel. It phases you onto a gangplank of a shuttle parked on the central platform. On the platform you can go to the reputation vendor and 2 CZ flashpoints in one corridor, the other corridor has the mission terminal in front of it leading to where you start your daily missions quest. If i had to guess maybe jedi guardian taunts droid near the imperial elevator pulling agro briefly, allowing the ungrouped scoundrel to slip into the area and uses the imperial elevator. Once the scoundrel is securely on the other side (Imp only side), he could stealth to the that platform, group up with the guardian then use guild ship summon to bring the guardian there....at least that's my theory. Unless the other poster cares to tell us his secrets lol.
