  1. No, if we're going to be honest, the reason we'll never see an equal amount of SGRs is because BioWare Austin dropped the ball during pre-release development. EA now wants to see maximized profits with minimized development costs, and our only real chance of seeing an equal playing field is if the old lv.1-50 content is retooled. Retooling old content and min-maxing costs-to-profits are two things that don't seem particularly compatible.
  2. Your hypothetical situations are ludicrous, because there's no chance in Jotunheim that same-sex flirt options spread between all eight classes, which already have opposite-sex flirts and romances, could lead to one being referred to as "the gay class" even if the balance for it somehow tipped in favor of the same-sex ones. Same situation for the game itself. Not to mention that The Secret World has had same-sex romantic/sexual interactions since it was released, and no one has made a fuss about that. And I suspect you're projecting. And that you have no idea just how uninvolved a majority of the players are with the larger community. That's funny, because having an irrational fear of being thought of as homosexual sounds a lot like homophobia to me. Not outright gay-hate, but still homophobia. And the people who complain about "political agendas" in social justice situations are, quite frankly, enormous idiots and/or bigots trying to mask their bigotry with a flimsy excuse. I've had plenty of people on the Internet thinking I'm a woman, and I don't correct them. I'm pretty sure my brother-in-law thinks I'm gay, and I'm completely fine with that too. I'd damn well rather have a fair game that makes a few 'phobes insecure about their sexualities than an unfair breeding ground for heterosexism.
  3. This doesn't seem accurate, since the Clone Troopers had a great degree of individuality, and all looked different through the Force.
  4. Hopefully there'll be a good range of customization options between the old TOR style and the new Juhani-based one. They'd better not leave us wanting when it comes to fur colors and hairdos.
  5. I used to have problems with Mako randomly activating Electro-Stasis on enemies I wasn't engaged in combat with; thereby getting aggro from other mob groups. Disabling automatic usage of Electro-Stasis seemed to fix that for me.
  6. There's also Visas Marr from KOTOR2, who was enslaved and turned Sith by Darth Nihilus. I made my own Miraluka Sith Assassin a while back. I think that works fairly well, as the Inquisitor starts off as a former slave.
  7. If you can't learn to compartmentalize parts of your MMO experience, as you already do with all other aspects of life, you're likely to feel a bit confused by the fact that every other Bounty Hunter player had an experience involving the same characters as you did. Luckily, we're more than capable to handle that compartmentalization. Except some people selectively find themselves unable to when it comes to subjects like sexuality. Well, neat. We have a few things in common. I would have loved doing the romance story with Mako, but ended up settling with Torian. But in addition to him not being my type, what with him being a man, he didn't have a very engaging story. I'm hoping I'll enjoy the romance with Andronikos more, since he's introduced a bit earlier and is likely to have a more interesting story going for him. In the end, if I have to choose between playing female or romancing a female character, I'll choose the former over the latter almost every time. I just wish, like you, that I didn't have to choose.
  8. I would imagine Mass Effect is rated M (17+) for its more realistic violence and semi-explicit sex scenes. In contrast to SWTOR's cartoon violence and fade-to-black scenes. That said, with the explicit torture and such, I have to say that T (13+) is much too low for SWTOR. It's rated 16+ in Europe, which is more appropriate. And characters' sexualities have no bearing on the ratings. All that matters is how explicit the content is.
  9. It was always intended to be up for a limited time. They said they reserve the right to put it up again later, though.
  10. I'm... simultaneously disappointed and relieved over the recent news. Disappointed about that there aren't at least two full romance options for either faction. Disappointed that BioWare has intentionally kept such vital information from us, just like they previously did with the information about it not being companion romances, and before that with what content the romances were going to be released to begin with. But I'm also relieved that the choices I've made with my characters so far have paid off. My female Bounty Hunter has already had her romance with Torian, my female Inquisitor has started her romance with Andronikos, my male Smuggler has his two romances to choose from, and the female Trooper I'm currently playing with friends/family... is staying single and has already expressed disinterest in the attention she has received from men.
  11. I'm not saying it's an exploit But it's an exploit ...Pretty much.
  12. So basically... none of the Kickstarter developers we've backed in this past year should ever give us any of the promised rewards. Because doing so will not get them any more money, and would be a LOSS for them. (Also, some nonsense about this meaning that they don't owe us anything.)
  13. I'm pretty sure that's just how some armor pieces look. I've picked up quite a few pieces of Trooper and BH gear that come with scratches and such.
  14. Fixed that for you. Nothing has been said about the romance content on Makeb only being "some flirts", or that the NPCs have been chosen at random. We could very well get a few characters integral to the Rise of the Hutt Cartel storyline that will be available for romance.
  15. They should have made this change a year ago--or earlier--so I'm not sure if they're every going to consider it important enough for something to be done about it.
