I wouldn't dignify my job by calling it an "occupation".
  1. Get a security key. For 1000 credits a pop you can go to the fleet. But yeah it'd be nice to get rid of some of the loading screens when going from planet --> orbital station --> ship --> Fleet
  2. They're aiming to match the tone of the game. Did you know my lone Chiss agent can take out a station that thousands of men before me have died trying to take? But more seriously, hyperbole is a much more widespread problem than merely these forums. The only solution is to buy a nice island somewhere, set yourself up as dictator, and execute anyone who overexaggerates.
  3. You have to take the old mod out before putting the new mod in. But neither action requires a table. And there is absolutely zero point to the table. It's a beta relic.
  4. Actually you can take the old mod out without a mod table. I didn't realize this for awhile b/c the beginning quest for mods tells you you need the table, but it's a lie.
  5. There's hardly a consensus about anything loot-related this early in game. You should always talk to your group about loot before it drops. If you wait til after people will already be rolling. It not only prevents you from inadvertently being a jerk, but it prevents the same from happening to you. Doing something potentially jerkish just because someone on the forums said they thought it was all right is not the best way to go about it.
  6. You're right! The queue problems are simply because Bioware is unaware that we have lives and can't simply sit around waiting for a queue to pop up. If we communicate to them that we have stuff to do, people to see, places to go, they will raise the server caps.
  7. I'm confused by your quotations. Are you saying you were upset by bugs in beta? And if so...
  8. That's funny... the exact same thing happened to me and I came to the forums to cool my heals for 40 min. to find this topic. I kind of imagine it'll happen eventually. I also don't imagine it's currently their top priority.
  9. Server queues are part of MMO launches, but I would be surprised if they didn't fix it soon so you have a 10-15 min. grace period after you DC to get back into the game queue-free. However, those things slip through the cracks so I understand why they haven't implemented it yet.
  10. Uhh... I assure you from personal experience it's just about as bad to be a married female gamer if your husband doesn't game. As with all things, communication helps.
  11. 12/4 and not in (checked the launcher not e-mail) so the cutoff must be the 3rd or the 4th.
  12. Pre-order confirmation e-mails with the early access code were sent when you pre-ordered. The person saying that he pre-ordered Sep. 8 should've contacted Origin on Sep. 8 if he didn't get it. As for early access... digital pre-orders don't need the e-mail to get in. If they have registered their pre-order they check the launcher just like everyone else.
  13. Are you a non-native English speaker? Because "before the 20th" is even more vague than "up to 5 days".
  14. If only there was a way for the devs to prominently feature this type of information. They could put it at the top of the forum perhaps, and attach it so it wouldn't get lost amidst all the other posts. They could call it... a sticky!
