  1. Oh I sadly agree. Just because out behaviour may have been informed by their community manager's own words doesn't mean that they are remotely likely to take any responsibility. Their past responses have shown that in plenty. I'm remembering now why I stayed unsubbed so long previously. lol. Alas...maybe the expansion is good enough to make me quickly forget this. edit - Oops, it looks like I stand corrected!
  2. I'm fairly certain Musco did in fact say guild rewards would be triggered by hitting last weeks personal targets, with the guild getting this weeks target. I would like to say I'm surprised, but as this is the very first thing I was looking for on log in, it is an extremely disappointing way to start this expansion.
  3. This sounds good in theory. However this does not mesh all that well with the 'play your way' philosophy that you are touting for the new expansion. The great thing about having added the passive conquest points is that you can play your way if the objectives don't really fit activities you care to do, yet still reach your personal conquest cap without too much grinding. Please consider this! I understand that you want the objectives to be more meaningful towards reaching your conquest cap, but realize it could potentially be in conflict with 'play your way'. Thanks!
  4. The actual change is a positive one, and a good step in the right direction. I don't want to detract from that point, however.... The lack of compensation, not only for people who have already spent tons of credits already training, but also have effectively pre-ordered for the dubious privilege of essentially beta testing a very buggy experience is low. It sends a very strong message -- anyone who pre-orders for early access is paying to be used. Maybe a bit over-dramatically stated, but its how I feel. It is very poor customer service. I realize reimbursement would be almost impossible, but considering this is the same team that came up the the rather stellar 12x xp, it would not be hard for you to come up with a means of compensation. I've enjoyed the story of SoR, and encouraged on that front with regards to what might come in the future. I've been continuously subbed now since launch, and for the first time I'm seriously considering dropping it. It's not the game itself, and I am pretty easy-going about bugs, but one thing I won't put up with is feeling like I'm being taken for granted.
  5. Hey there! I've had the day off and have been playing with the crafting during the day. I noticed my personal conquest points had been building up quite nicely, especially on my crafters. However, I noticed after our guild moved our new flagship to the planet of our choice, it looks like both my personal conquest points and my contributed points towards guild conquest reset to zero. Is this intentional (and therefore something I missed) or a bug? Thank you!
  6. /signed - definitely need to not take ourselves too seriously.
  7. This is a fairly important issue -- I happen to agree with the subject heading. With the sheer glut of missions that we might need to have on hand at any time, 50 should be a bare minimum size for the quest log. Because of the current size, I only keep exactly what I need at the time in my log. This proved to be a problem recently. I had signed up for a guild run on my tank. However at the last second we had a player joining us who only had a tank at 55, so I agreed to switch out to my dps. However, my dps was nowhere near fleet, so now that the group was waiting on me to join them, I was in a rush to get to the instance, and naturally forgot to pick up the relevant weekly (which I had made a point to do on my tank, earlier) and didn't realize it until the run was complete. If it really is not technically feasible to increase quest log size (which I sincerely and respectfully doubt) then could I request that you meet us half-way and make the freaking thing smarter? So if you completed a quest without it in your log, it would autocomplete when you pick it up? At the very least it would save the space for uncompleted speeder quests(as an example), if we could just pick them up when we've met all the criteria to turn them in. And we wouldn't have our logs full of weeklies./priorities and whatnot on the off-chance that we might need them.
  8. It is strange, but this is actually one of the few seriously disappointing factors in the game for me. I balance the characters I play between male and female, and I think it's only right that my female characters get as many opportunities to fool around as the male character -- whether she chooses to take those opportunities or not. It's appropriate (to an extent only) to limit those options for jedi, but otherwise -- come on! I know it seems silly, but if I had to prioritize things I wanted improved in the game, this would be at or very near the top of my list.
  9. I like this thread. I like body type 3 on males, but I regretted it with my consular, 'cause the robes really does not flatter that model's rear end at all! Now my trooper -- I could stare at that a** all day. <grin>
  10. This is the first quest that I found hard. This also happens to be where I found out I need to check to make sure abilities I turned off previously were actually still turned off (ie our Lizard friend's EMP ability!) Inturrupts, CC (and healing/shielding, if like me you are a healing sage), are the key to winning this. I died several times, and definitely feel your rage/pain! Wait until you get to the boss after Belsavis....
  11. Hah, hah...finally beat this last night. And funny it was a frustrated 'going for broke' attempt too. I actually used Nadia, and the only thing I did differently is I led the attack myself instead of sending her in first. Between our attacks (I think we ping-ponged agro, which is probably something I couldn't have done deliberately), me healing (only twice using LoS) and using all my inturrupts (including twice using Force Lift and breaking it immediately) I got him -- Nadia died when he was down to about 7% of his health, but I was able to finish him off at that point. I've never been so satisfied to destroy someone...lol.
  12. Interesting! That was actually a possibility I'd come with -- in fact the last few times I tried him I was practicing staying alive after my companion died as long as I could, with an eye to implementing a strategy like that. Nice!
  13. Thanks for the response -- and thanks for the encouragement that if may be doable without managing LoS. I am not sure that it was *not* designed to use it, though -- think to the Eternity Vault -- all the videos I've seen of that have ppl moving behind barriers to avoid the missle barrage from that big droid at the beginning. LoS might very well have been designed into the game. In any case, I definitely understand it's up to me to bring my ability to use my character's skills up to the level of the encounter, and not expect them to bring it down to my level. To use a metaphor however, I feel that the game up to that point trained me to be able to juggle 3 balls comfortably, and even feel proud about my ability to do so. Then all of a sudden I'm tossed another 6 balls and expected to be able to juggle all 9 without being able to work my way up to that level. I keep thinking about Starcraft II -- they have those mini-missions (base-building, troop deployment, hotkeys, etc) outside the main campain to help newer people develop the skills they need to be able to do hard mode or PvP stuff.
  14. I can't help but feel that part of the problem is this encounter is made for people with a lot of experience with MMO's. It's easy to say 'LoS' him if you've been doing that for five years on other MMO's, but this is a horrible place to try and learn that skill in. I'm a healer/seer spec'd sage, and find there is just too much for me to keep track of -- I do best with Fess, but keeping on top of Fess' health, and maneuvering LoS when Stark turns his focus on me does leaves almost no attention for me to interrupt Stark's healing. This is beyond frustrating. I wouldn't even mind taking the time getting killed over and over again to learn how to manage all the above, but even that's impossible, because with repair costs that is unsustainable.
  15. Ah! I was having that problem (though i should say that even after I got to my ship, he still didn't want to talk to me in spite of saying he did.) I actually assumed maybe there was only a short window to respond to him after that, and I'd missed a bonding opportunity.
