  1. I was actually quite impressed with Rebel Moon. But what we saw on Netflix is not the whole story... and I am not just saying that because it is part 1. He pitched the R rated movie, Netflix said "Sure, but make it PG-13 then you can do what you want". So he did, which apparently changed the movie a lot. He has his directors cut that he intends to release which is supposed to be almost a whole different movie. I am interested to see it. I think it all has a lot of potential and if Part 2 does good, they intend to make it a series.
  2. I think another server fusion would be a pain in the butt. I have already seen, what... 5 now? With server fusions you can lose character names, even if you have had the name forever (which happened to me twice now) and your guild names (which has also happened twice). My wish list? New planets (such as Mandalore, Dagobah, Dathomir, Jakku, or Kashyyyk) and new races (Zeltron, Faleen, Ithorian, Kel Dor, Rodian, Bothan, etc). Both of those would make the game seem much more star warsy. I would also like to see personal storylines with companions and for classes come back!
  3. So, I have been thinking about this for awhile now and I believe there are things that should be touched upon in a future (hopefully soon) expansion to help spice up the game a bit. With Broadsword taking over, what better way to show the player base that great content is still ahead than to touch on some or all of these. My first suggestion is new planets to visit that people are already at least slightly familiar with: Mandalore, Naboo, Jakku, Dathomir, Kashyyyk, and Dagobah. Mandalore: Like Alderaan was at the launch of the game, Mandalore would allow players to have a more in-depth look at a place that is important to the star wars universe. We get glimpses in various different star wars shows like Clone Wars, Rebels, and the Mandalorian. Being able to explore Mandalore in game would be amazing. Naboo: An absolutely beautiful planet, even though many people hate gungans. In games like Star Wars Galaxies it was one of the best places to visit in the entire game. Jakku: Introduced in the new Star Wars movies, Jakku is another desert planet like Tatooine which could provide for a ton of great content. Dathomir: Touched on in many things for Star Wars, Dathomir would be an amazing place to take the game in a darker direction to explore the dangerous wilds filled with sorceresses and rancors. Kashyyyk: Why this has not been added yet is beyond me. Not only with the wookie civilization, but the wilds of Kashyyyk are harsh and deadly thanks to the Rakata. Dagobah: No civilization, and by the time of the movies it has become a forgotten world. Dagobah is strong with the force like Yavin and Ossus, and should be touched upon in the game. Another thing that Broadsword should look into is the inclusion of new races for players, something that has not been done in a long time. Add something with flavor such as the Zeltron, Falleen, Bothan, Kel Dor, Ithorian, or Besalisk. This galaxy is supposed to be packed with various races, but other than NPCs, we only see the standard ones running around in game. Finally, how about the addition of a new class? Maybe a class that would be universal to both sides. My idea on this would be the Technician/Engineer. Something they could bring to the world for players would be new technology. Have them be able to deploy Turrets for DPS, Bacta Tanks for area healing, or new droids for tanking. These are just generalized ideas, but a class which allows for tech to be dropped in the game would be awesome! This is just my 2 cents, but as someone who has been playing here since closed beta, some of these are long overdue. I think every other expansion at least that Broadsword should introduce a new race!
  4. These things are being mixed up at different times in the history. In the actual timeline: After his conquest of Medriaas was complete in 5100 BBY, Tenebrae traveled to the Sith Empire’s throneworld of Ziost and came before Marka Ragnos, the Dark Lord of the Sith and ruler of the Sith Council. Acknowledging the thirteen-year-old’s power, Ragnos granted Tenebrae the right to rule Medriaas as his own and elevated him to the rank of Sith Lord, bestowing the title of Lord Vitiate upon him. He kept to himself and stayed out of the war between Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh. He also refrained from participating in the crusade upon which the victorious Sadow embarked against the Galactic Republic, instead watching from Nathema as the Sith Empire battled the Republic and their Jedi protectors in the Great Hyperspace War. Broadcasting speeches across the Empire in 4999 BBY describing how the Jedi Order would destroy the Empire and massacre its people once they discovered the rest of the Sith, Vitiate stoked the Empire’s fears and carefully drove the people into a panic, a sensation that only increased when the Republic invaded the Empire and destroyed any Sith sacred sites and artifacts it could find on the orders of Supreme Chancellor Pultimo. Assuming a leadership role, Vitiate called all remaining Sith Lords to Nathema in order to aid him in performing a ritual, promising them that it would unleash the full power of the dark side beyond anything they could imagine. At the same time, Vitiate’s historians and scientists searched for the location of Dromund Kaas, one of the Empire’s original colonies. Just before the other Sith Lords arrived, the researchers finally theorized a new hyperspace route that led back to Dromund Kaas but also prevented the Jedi from following. Three days after the lead researcher presented the team’s findings, Vitiate announced the commencement of his ritual. But when the eight thousand Sith who answered Vitiate’s call arrived at his palace, he dominated their minds and bound their wills to his, forcing the Sith to participate in the ritual. The ritual took ten days to perform, with the entire planet frozen in the grip of the dark-side sorcery, and upon its completion all life on the surface of Nathema was annihilated save for Vitiate. The man absorbed the life force of the entire world, stripping the Force from the very fabric of reality on Nathema and gaining both unimaginable power and immortality as a result. At that moment, the man shed his identity as Vitiate and became simply the Emperor, a figure of immense power and wisdom in the eyes of his fellow Sith. Around 3760 BBY, the Emperor decided that he was tired of the galaxy as it existed, and of the limits that Sith teachings and his empire placed upon him. Resolving to free himself of such restraints, Vitiate heard rumors of an ancient and unstoppable fleet of warships operated by sentient droids that had nearly wiped out all of Wild Space. A powerful ship known as the Gravestone purportedly stopped the entire “Eternal Fleet” at a backwater planet called Zakuul, and so Vitiate chose Zakuul as the world upon which he would build a new empire, a truly Eternal Empire. Vitiate took on a Human male body as a new Voice that went by the name “Valkorion,” though he split his mind and energy between the Valkorion body and the numerous Voices that oversaw the Sith Empire’s march to war. Zakuul’s native Humans were a superstitious and nihilistic people who worshipped the ruthless Old Gods, and so “Valkorion” claimed to be the Demon Savior of Zakuulan prophecy, an immortal god of gods who would topple Izax the Ultimate Devourer and the rest of the Old Gods, and thus usher in a new age. A subgroup of the Knights, the Scions of Zakuul, specialized in seeing the future and were obsessed with the idea of fate. Valkorion used this to his advantage, using the Scions’ Force visions to find the dormant fleet. To control the fleet, he gathered Zakuul’s greatest minds and set them to work building the Eternal Throne: a throne in the starscraper that topped the Spire whose technology gave the Immortal Emperor control over the GEMINI units that operated the fleet. The throne took generations to complete, finishing around two centuries after the Jedi Civil War, but for some reason Valkorion kept the Eternal Fleet within the Unknown Regions for the centuries that followed.
  5. So while I barely go to the forums, I thought it was time. I have played this game since closed Beta, and pay for 6 months at a time. The most disappointing thing that has happened to this game since Shadows of Revan is the class story and Companion stories going away. Those two right there made the players feel more immersed in their characters I think. Now we are on the cookie cutter story which is the exact same thing for everyone. This game went from being dynamic and original, and now it is the same stories for all like every other MMO. If I wanted to play Final Fantasy, Guild Wars, or WoW then I would play those. New content is great and we always look forward to it. But, if you want to make this game great again and bring people back who have left, personalize it again! More personal quests, more companion interaction! Hell, go back an add the multiple romance options from the beginning instead of those who wish same sex relationships to wait until AFTER SoR for it to kick in. You guys offer new companions, which is awesome! They have absolutely no connection with my characters like my class companions have. Hopefully you guys get what I'm saying. The more it continues on this route, the more the player base will begin to die off.
  6. ^^^ ^^^ This is exactly what I am saying. If you gotta paint with broad strokes, then do so. I'm not asking you to say: "On July 4th THIS is gonna happen!". I would just like to see something like: "This year we are working hard to bring you this, this, and maybe this. No exact time frame is given yet."
  7. Yes, COVID had a hand in things. However, even Blizzard managed to pull it together and release a full expansion even though they had to push it back. You can't tell me that Bioware and EA does not have the resources to have their people work remotely.
  8. I understand this... I do. However, if the community shows they want something... ANYTHING from the producer or devs showing a direction they plan to go with SWTOR, it would help keep the player's attention I think. Capitalize on those being stuck inside for COVID and give more content!!! (Or at least direction)
  9. Its been a seriously long time since the Producer released a SWTOR Roadmap. Is there any chance of that happening for the new year? It would be nice to know what the Devs are thinking and the direction the game is going to go.
  10. While I can agree with the things said above, I think now that we are delving back into the Empire / Republic war, it should not be too difficult to throw us a little bit of a bone for Class Stories. The other thing as well: Companions. They have gotten super flat. Hell I got Kira back, Jaesa back, Risha back, and Elara back (just to name my favorites).. we get a quick blurb about getting back together and that's it. I don't even have Elara telling me how foolish my choices have been! She used to be my portable conscience! If we cannot get the class stories on track right now, please make our companions more than just the background healers they have become!
  11. This thread is hopefully meant to add as a kick off point for input that the Devs will read. Go troll somewhere else because I'd like this to be a serious discussion. Please give legitimate facts or opinions here guys! When I first started this game, I fell in love with it because not only was it Star Wars, but your character really felt like they were part of the world around them. For the first 3 chapters of their story they really develop and you get to know and love them. You also got to see their relationships grow... whether love or friendship. After chapter 3, that all kind of goes away. The story becomes cookie cutter and everyone experiences the exact same thing. We NEED that special story feeling again! We NEED that connection with our companions! You start doing that, and people will be drawn to the game again. I have several characters maxed out, but to be honest... after the first what is the motivation to level any of the others? Its the EXACT same story! Bioware, please do what you do and give us the magic of our characters back!
  12. I am not a huge World of Warcraft fan like others I know, but when they released cataclysm, they remade the world. Would Bioware consider something like this for the future, just in reverse? Instead of tearing down, how about a rebuilding of areas that have been explored for years: Places like Coruscant, Corellia, and Taris? You could rebuild Taris back to its original beauty and add a ton of content in doing so. Just a thought...
  13. Knowing that what was “cannon” before in the Star Wars Universe does not remain that way with the buyout by Disney, here is a story pitch for you. Going over old stories, as well as the timeline set by Bioware itself… here is my suggestion. Star Wars: The Old Republic Wrath of Exar Kun The dark energies of Yavin 4 have been twisted by the rebirth of the Sith emperor. The prison fashioned by the Jedi in BTC 347 has weakened and the spirit of Exar Kun is once again able to touch the world, though not manifest fully. A young human Jedi Padawan by the name of Treena Gax, grief stricken by the loss of her master during the war with the Eternal Empire and wounded badly, discovers the dark lord’s temple. His mind reaches out to her, whispering that he can save her if she would become his new apprentice. On the edge of death, she agrees. Both the Sith Empire and the Republic are not what they once were before the war, and the apprentice takes advantage of the shattered remnants. Masking her dark nature, Treena convinces many Padawans to leave Tython and join her in a quest to heal the galaxy. She then embraces her new dark side and travels to Korriban, recruiting apprentices of the Sith to her cause. Using an ancient Sith holocron hidden away by Exar Kun, Treena corrupts her new followers and reforms her master’s old Brotherhood of the Sith into the Knights of Kun. Their initiation into the Knights followed the example of their predecessors, return to their place of training and kill their masters. Already reeling from their losses during the war, the Jedi and Sith were brought to their knees with more losses to their already depleted ranks and the loss of so many students who fled after their initial attack. No one knew what was happening, nor where the former students had gone. The remains of the Jedi Council gather and search for answers while the Sith Empress calls out for blood. Elsewhere, Treena uses her new abilities to corrupt officials within the Republic and Sith Empire. She utilizes her hidden agents to seed false information and gather her own knowledge of what is being planned. With this information, the Knights of Kun stay one step ahead of both and cripple vital operations. While both governments attempt to make sense of the chaos, Treena moves within the shadows towards her ultimate goals: Find Exar Kun’s starship Starstorm One and use it’s navigation charts to discover the location of an ancient Massassi amulet once belonging to her master. With it, she could use the dark side energy trapped within it to free him and rule the galaxy at his side.
  14. They did not try this... they made space PvP, not space content... that is not the same.
  15. I agree with this. I rarely look at twitter feeds or the website (which is down when maintenance is going). Once you log in, it starts to automatically update before you get the message. And if you cancel it during the "reorganize data" phase, it will make you download the whole client over again. This would be a handy feature.
