  1. The Level 27 choice that modifies Disturbance / Lightning strike tool tips are different. Sage: Destructive Wave - Fires a blast of telekinetic energy at the target dealing x kinetic damage up to 3 enemies within 10 meeters Sorc: Overloaded Strike - Hits up to 2 additional targets dealing x damage to both targets. Is this a tooltip error or an ability difference? What is it supposed to be?
  2. Started a new character with the allegiance/origin Jedi, chose Sorc inquisitor class. Am on Tython, Enemies are red and attack-able. Everything else is not clickable/loot-able including mission objectives, Speeder, Quest Givers, etc. Edit: also can't even click on my Senya Trainer. Tried going to my stronghold and back. No change Tried logging out/in No change The only thing I can do is run around on Tython killing things with nothing to do. Any Help out there? UPDATE: I guess levelling by killing things solved it. Went up a level and all of a sudden I can click stuff.
  3. Willing to bet there are dozens of us out there playing SWToR on Linux. Just wanted to throw it out there some instructions on how to get it working. I updated it for 7.0 using better techniques and works better than ever. Takes about 15 mins to setup. https://github.com/Rash-in/StarParseLinux
  4. Hello all, I have recently been getting hyped about the amount of good things coming out of linux gaming. Its getting significantly better and appears to keeping on track of getting better. I have also taken the dive of getting rid of Windows for Linux. I recently installed SWTOR and it was very simple to get running. That being said, StarParse. Not so much. I have toiled over the past few days and got it up and running. I wanted to share with the community at least my instructions on how to get it running in case anyone out there is struggling the same as me. If no road roadblocks should take about 15 mins or so once you have the initial requirements installed. Please note these are initial instructions. I probably have grammar mistakes. But I ran through these a few times to ensure that they are working. I plan on updating and possibly scripting more, or if I get a response from Ixale, maybe a Linux port to run native. https://github.com/Rash-in/StarParseLinux
  5. This is going to seem more like a petty rant and in some ways it is. It will depend on other peoples ability to learn/master a class/spec being better than mine as well as their main spec. In the operation The Nature of Progress during the third boss (both Story and Veteran) there is a repeat phase of the fight that requires 35 meter ranged class. It is the phase where the Taskmaster puts up his shield, jumps to the lake to start one-shotting the spawning adds. If you go into an aoe puddle inside this 35 meter radius, the boss will one shot you as well. In most cases, the fight requires that the boss be dpsed the whole time which includes this phase. My personal background: Main: Sin - all three specs Secondary: Sorc Madness, newbish in the other two despite actually using it in non-raid content. The game only has three ranged classes (sorc, merc, sniper). Of all of the dps specs for these classes Sorc has 1 that is 35 meters and sniper all three are 35. The disinclusion of madness, and the two merc specs mean that you have to do either lightning or one of the sniper specs for this Operation, or switch to one during the raid. Both of these options are tedious, require gearing, and require learning a whole new spec. Out of all of the fights in all of the operations in swtor, this is the only fight that is like this and the work that is needed in order to overcome this, to me, is grating. In my prog teams, I am now bringing a class that I am unfamiliar with, and for the most part staring at my hotbar to manage my rotation during the fight. Yes, I am learning, adjusting, and will slowly be able to be better at another class. Ultimately, I am upset because my main and secondary class are unable to do this fight. Our prog team now takes a break prior to taskmaster to switch to sniper and lightning sorcs despite our original composition. I would request (nye, beg) for one simple solution be implemented. Just make that aoe puddle 30 meters instead of 35 so that all ranged can do the fight.
  6. Covenant of the Phoenix is a multi-gaming community that has been around since 1997 in a wide variety of MMOs and other games, with current chapters in; Albion Online, Ark: Survival Evolved, Black Desert Online, Blade & Soul, Elder Scrolls Online, Everquest Landmark, Final Fantasy XIV Online, Guild Wars 2, Pathfinder Online, Riders Of Icarus, Rift, Shroud Of The Avatar, Star Wars: The Old Republic, World Of Tanks and World Of Warcraft. In addition, we also have interest in starting chapters for Camelot Unchained, Crowfall, Dark & Light, Star Citizen and The Repopulation upon their release. Let's face it, mmorpgs come and go. When looking for a guild, you will want one that is willing to expand into other games and has a history of stable leadership. We are a mature and drama free gaming community. Our members are easy going and joke a lot in Discord and on the forums. A guild can make or break a person's experience in a MMO. Different guilds for different folks. The trick is finding one that will become more like a family than a guild and will last throughout the years. The guild was founded on the principles of loyalty, honor, and brotherhood and thrives because online adventure games are more fun in the company of kindred spirits. Our membership ranges in age from teens to the comfortably retired and geographically spans the globe (although most are adults residing in the North American continent). Most of us have jobs or college commitments and families, and therefore we support the premise that real life has priority over game life. So power gaming isn't required. While we may be a multi-gaming guild, we have always taken strides to maintain that close knit family oriented feeling that is often only associated with smaller guilds. I encourage anyone that is looking to join a mature gaming community to visit our site, in any case, it doesn't hurt to look. So, please feel free to visit us at: Covenant of the Phoenix Stable Community (20+ years) Discord VoiP Great Website Active Forums Helpful Members

    lol. that name suits you.
  9. I sure hope not. People are having a gearing crisis as it is with the last Ops scale increase.
  10. I could go along with that. To the other side of it though. I have got enough duplicate pieces from RNG crates to get enough of the enhacements/mods to move some stuff around. Mostly when min/maxing stuff out for at least PvP, it is only 1 or two items off from the PvE side from what I have seen.
  11. Never gave taunts a 2nd thought as a DPS. Either way tank/DPS will work them in the rotation.
  12. Can you give me an example as to why? I mean I have used shadow/sin as a tank before (PvE) and never thought of it as a disgrace. So far you are the first person I have encountered to say something like that so I am curious.
  13. My thought was more of a mindset type of thinking. If I am using nothing but tactics to determine the outcome of a fight, would it make more sense to go tank instead of dps. I found that if I am playing objectives (NC for example) if I am in mid defending the node from the enemy horde by using slows, roots, knockbacks, ect, to keep cap, would there be more value in switching specs and adding taunts or if DPS would still be the way to go? As a DPS, I find that when guarding a heavy objective with many enemies, I am attracting a LOT of attention since I am focused on preventing the cap. Added survivability would definitely be a benefit, but adding protection into the mix, would I also be taking away from the guarding mindset since I would have to keep track of enemy threats against team mates. In all honesty, I never really cared for keeping DPS stats up so long as we win a match and I have been valuable in holding the line where ever I am placed. I like playing support but don't want to detract from that by looking at other factors more.
