  1. 7.0 is not alt friendly in the slightest, if anything it will force you into dedicating your playtime into one main rather than multiple alts. I do this already but for a lot of players have 6+ alts they like to gear and play around with.
  2. After reading this thread I get the doom and gloom. I prog TBC atm (well farm, i guess is a better word) but this weird Ilvl system is frustrating. Why not just have two caps for ilvl crap, one from MM FP and the other for Prog level raid content. This weird chain they are doing us unnecessary. I hate using TBC WoW as an example but Norm-Heroic-Raid prog for gear works fine. An honestly, we should not even do that, as many have said the biggest selling point is the modable gear and the singular token system. SWTOR is not a huge raid-based game from my experience, we have em yes but outside of maybe 2-3 guild Imp and rep side most players just do story. I did a few Nim and Hard mode stuff a few years back and it was fun, and I would have loved to have a reason to keep doing it other than Decons and the Dxun raid set I never saw drop for VG/PT but I don't think this weird ilvl scaling/prog is going to work out as well as they think it is. An the stat assortment on gear is poor at best, we circumnavigated that through mods but set stats from devs who don't know how classes work is going to cause problems.
  3. THe knights expansions were "Ok" at best, and the difficulty adjustment was just "Lul, let's make the enemy's hit harder and be dmg sponges". It is quite literally impossible for some classes without maxed companion and even then, its touch and go. Having an Auto attack hit for half your health and having 2mil hp is such a lazy attempt to make things more difficult. That being said, most players will tell you if you're going for MM chapters you do certain chapters with a specific class and spec. VM mode i felt was the perfect level of difficulty and would have liked to see that in both class stories and world pve.
  4. You could try a MMO gaming mouse which has alot of buttons on the mouse itself which would require at least 3 fingers on one hand.
  5. I pushed through all the main quest lines and left all the planet stories and side quests for later. It allows me to catch up with the server in story progression and gets Knights expansion out of the way (biggest slog for me).
  6. As a BH you can be the righteous and noble Warrior without being full on good like the Trooper. BH has a more of a Punisher feel too it, you go around hunting contracts, but you have choices during those contracts that almost feel like the philosophy of being a Nobel warrior takes precedence over being a hired gun. An to be honest once you get into the Knight expansion its very Black and White in the choices, for me i always go with what i think a Mando would do. Once you get out of the Knights expansion it becomes a bit more grey area with some choices. Just dont expect alot of your choices to matter once you leave your class story and hit Makeb, it becomes streamlined after that.
  7. Thanks! I was wondering if I was doing it right and it looks like I was.
  8. If you're doing group content as a focus I would focus on tank or heals class, overworld stuff DPS. I have a set for DPS and tank, I only run tank for quick wait times but focus DPS on overworld and raids. I don't play force users outside of completing their story and focus on my VG/PT so DPS/Tank. My time is valuable and finite so quickest way to achieve said goals is always a desire. If you do go the DPS/Tank route, just make sure you change your loot preference during FP's.
  9. OP has a lot of valid points, honestly, I am finding it hard to find the good in the PTS so far. The classes secondary play style feels much like FF14, the biggest plus to this new idea is it will allow you to have two classes while leveling one eliminating the need for multiple alts, which I think most people at this point have anyway. On the plus side I will finally be able to play a bounty hunter with a sniper or blaster rifle but with the elimination of "class" story and focusing on a big narrative it will just feel like an Agent with a new voice as we have long moved away from flavor story based on class. I think I was expecting something else from the new class changes, I am glad I am exploring the PTS now as it will temper my expectations on release.
  10. I am having the same issue between Powertech/Vanguard
  11. I know 7.0 is right around the corner and spending 10's of millions of credits is a stupid investment, but what is the hard and soft cap for crit and crit multiplier for Pyro spec? I read a 6.0 guide, but I am not sure how accurate it is.
  12. I have very rarely used that ability, even with tank swaps its quicker to just use a taunt. We lack any type of cleanse. Which as a tank in HM + or MM can cause some friction between heals and tank. You suggestion is good, but we already have a self heal and DR CD (3 if your using Price is right). I would settle for a cleanse but a Dr/Cleanse would be great as well.
  13. Least you got that far. I have been running Dxun and have yet to see it drop at all. I would say is more than mildly frustrating but rather infuriating. I had hopes for this patch but I should of curved my expectations.
  14. I think I have dumped upwards of 40k fragments and have yet to get one piece of this set. I hold a tanking spot in progression raids and the Right price set is not cutting it to what my counterpart is wearing. I hope these upcoming patches solve this issue, they can do a few things to solve it. 1. Put it in Fragment vendors 2. Make it droppable by any end raid boss SM-NiM 3. Buff the Right Price Set 4. Do all the above (preferable) I would have no issue with farming raids for gear like I did in Wow and the numerous other MMO's I played through the years. However, the fact set parts ONLY drop off of end bosses except in very rare circumstances is frustrating. I should not be surprised as VG Tanks have had a pretty long history of getting shafted.
  15. What is the reason behind the lock away behind hardmode Dxun? All the other classes/specs seem to have their BiS in the fragment store. I find this ridiculous and it screws over the VG/PT tanks, Its not like there are a lot of us to begin with and getting a tank spot in progression raids is hard enough as it is. I hope in the near future this issue is remedied.
