  1. Valor is not new, you get it by competing in WZ's
  2. what purpose do the actual levels serve then?
  3. 3 questions 1. Just to clarify, you only have to hit level 70 to access command ranks, and not complete KOTET story, correct? 2. Is there a max level for command ranks? 3. Once we hit that level, will there be any other way to obtain rewards that we didn't get? Thanks
  4. What i'm really interested in with this, is whether it will be retroactive with previous content, or will it only affect the new content coming out. Really hoping that this will affect old content, as fighting my Sith Warrior all the way to the end of ch. 3, just to one shot Baras with my basic attack, was really disappointing. The way it says "story chapter" instead of just story, or class quests, really makes me think that its just Kotfe/KotET. As they were released in chapter format. But I can hope.
  5. It's all good, that was what this thread was for, to get other peoples opinions.
  6. I disagree, from the beginning this story was told from a first-person limited view, now all of a sudden it switches to a third-person limited view, it's very jarring and unnecessary. There are countless examples of stories with great villains where we only see things from the hero's point of view. And in the example of KOTFE, this change did nothing to advance the story/develop the characters, that we couldn't have gotten from other sources. So I say, in this game, ditch the boring villains, and put the focus on they player's story and their companions.
  7. Everything up until KOTFE was focused on our character, we were the hero, it was all about us. I didn't feel that way with KOTFE. It felt like it was more about Arcann/Vayline. I think my biggest gripe with this expansion was all the cutting away from what was going on with my character to go see what was happening with Arcann. It felt weird and out of place, we never (or at least very rarely, don't remember 100%) took time away from our characters in any pre KOTFE content. Story wise, if we learned anything about our villain, it was through spy's, or hearsay, we never just jumped to them to see what they were up too. Is it just me, or does anybody else wish they would cut that "glimpse into the enemies home" crap and use that time to maybe through in more meaningful companion interactions, or develop the part of the story player is directly involved in? I would rather they add some meaningful dialogue with our comps (like the original 1-50 had) then waist time giving me info that my character shouldn't know. Thoughts?
  8. ^This so much! I made more off the chance cubes than I would have trying to sell my 30th republic banner or ball toss for less than 1k credits. I made enough selling the things I got from the chance cubes to buy the things I didn't get from the pack itself.
  9. I'm honestly OK if not all companions will be re-recruitable , so long as we find out what happens to them. If any of the companions just cease to exist, and are never see or mentioned again, I will be very sad.
  10. The way I see it happening is something similar to DA:Origins. With DA you could pick a unique origin, and than we play the story of the "Warden", with variations. For example, if you were a dwarf noble, the Orzammar part would be slightly different, than for the rest of the origins, or if you were a mage, the Tower, would be slightly different, because they have a history with those locations, but than the other parts of the game play out pretty much the same. So basically our "class story" is our origin, and we all play the story of the "Outlander." And then the way a Sith would interact with Darth Marr, or the planet Korriban, would be different than the way a Smuggler would, because they have a history with that character/planet, and so on, but then the rest of the story would play out the same. That's my guess anyway.
  11. Yeah, that's how I understand it, which I'm fine with as long as our past choices make a noticeable difference, and not just being recognized every now and then as that one guy that did that one thing, that one time. I don't know what game you have been playing, but pretty much everything after Makeb was the same story for both factions. At least now, the way the are describing it, each class will have a much larger impact on how the story plays out, unlike SOR and Ziost, where it didn't matter who you were, the story ended pretty much the same, with only a brief mention of who you were.
  12. Necro Much? Dude this thread is 3 years old. How far down the rabbit hole did you go to find this?
