  1. It doesn't matter in the warzones. Skill is about the only thing that matters in the warzones. When I came back 5 months ago I still had my 208 gear, and I was killing just as many 248s as I was any other player. Gear only really matters out in the open world, but like I said you hardly EVER see anyone in the open world PvP instances.
  2. I'm just playing the game to pass the time until the next great patch is released for Star Citizen. I was playing Overwatch and Star Citizen and decided to revisit SWTOR for a bit. I finally got my main maxed out again, and only took 4 months, lol. Now I'm just back to hunting down other players again that can never be found since there has never been open world pvp in this game, and doing 1v1 deathmatching in the warzones since I have stopped caring about winning a wz since March of 2012. Even after being away from the game for 2 years I see players are still complaining about the PvP in this game, hehe. Well, for one thing, there has really never been any "real" PvP in SWTOR, and I'm sorry, but I just don't count these lazy, put together, cookie cutter warzones as "real" PvP. SWTOR maybe better than SWG overall, but SWG's PvP back in the day blows this game away. This game is really just KOTOR online, just a PvE game with a hint of PvP. Players have been threatening to unsub everytime Bioware makes a change, and it's true, they have been. The game is way quieter than it was 2 years ago. There's hardly anyone at the stations now. And even though openworld PvP was a joke at least there were always a few players hanging out at the Den to spar with. What really killed whatever PvP was left in this game is when they decided to give every player on every server the choice of playing in a PvP or PvE instance. That was a big mistake and just further verification that Bioware has absolutely no interest in PvP in this game, and is only primarily concerned with PvE. I'm not even sure why they even put their little PvP system in this game to begin with.
  3. Ahh cool, thanks. I play mostly republic so the more Imperial presence the better, as far as open-world is concerned.
  4. I've been away from the game for 2 years and just came back a few weeks ago. I've been playing on Satele Shan and the PvP seems fairly decent. I was wondering if anyone knew which server had the most active PvP, including both war zones and open-world PvP?
  5. Well, I decided to go ahead and get Overwatch and
  6. You know, you're absolutely right. PvP just doesn't seem to belong in these types of games anymore. PvP in Star Wars Galaxies was awesome for an RPG. The PvP in this game was somewhat fun for a while. I just liked the idea of leveling up a character and gaining skills along the way that gave me an advantage in PvP, unlike the earlier days of FPS where you were already the best you could be from the start. Plus I just like the Star Wars genre. SWG and SWTOR had the kind of Star Wars environment I was looking for in a game. Ironically I never did get into the role playing aspect of these games. It just seems weird, like some sort of weird fetish or something. But to each their own I guess. Maybe I'll try Overwatch. I've heard it was great but it just seems goofy and cartoonish. I haven't decided whether to spend my money on that game yet or not.
  7. LOL. It's not a recruitment. It's a suggestion. Hey it's up to the OP and anyone else who's currently on a dead server. The Harbinger has the most people than any other server by far. So if anyone is looking for very short wait times and easy to find groups why not pick a server that can easily provide that. As far as a toxic community... lol that's on every server. The only reason there's more on The Harbinger is because they just have a lot more players.
  8. I've been on the Bastion for quite a while. I finally transferred to The Harbinger and I am happy with the decision. The PvP servers, including this one, are almost completely dead.
  9. I live closer to the east coast, but I transferred to The Harbinger. That was a very good decision. There are tons of people there, and lots of activity.
  10. You should transfer to The Harbinger. It's very active there. Wz pops all the time all throughout the day. Most pops are under 5 minutes of waiting.
  11. At this point I don't think there will ever be a server merge. Bioware has been ignoring the cries for too long. I'm pretty sure it's not gonna happen. I got tired of waiting and transferred to The Harbinger. It's where most other players are flocking to now because people are getting tired of waiting on a server merge that clearly isn't going to happen. Transferring to The Harbinger was a good decision. There's constant wz pops all throughout the day. Most pops are under 5 minutes wait time. The server is very active. There's even open world pvp if you can believe that.
  12. There are these kinds of people on every server. You most likely so it more prevalent on The Harbinger because there are just more people on that server than any other. I'm staying on The Harbinger because there's a lot more action, more open world pvp, and way faster wz pops than any other server. The attitudes of the other players don't bother me in the least. Sometimes it's actually entertaining to observe.
  13. Yeah I don't want the game to shutdown either, but at this point it's not looking so good. It seems to be following the same pattern. But just in case, it would be nice to have a nicely populated server just one more time in the "unlikely chance" that the game does die.
  14. Hehe, and wouldn't it be funny if everyone left their current server almost completely empty and all flocked to one server. The power is actually in our hands. We could do this. What would Bioware think if they realized that almost every server is left near empty and have conglomerated to one server? Then again, would they even care? You know this happened in Star Wars Galaxies. Everyone flocked to Starsider and Chilastra leaving the other servers almost completely empty right before they shut the game down.
