  1. Please use your influence to get SWTOR to fix the old problem of the numbers not being equal in 4x4 games. Yes, they allow unequal games to keep the number of games being played high, but that is a mistake and an unnecessary strategy. A simple solution is to limit the games to 3x3 or 4x4 to have enough games going on. Here are three simple rules that a computer can program and follow: (1) Never start a game unless there are equal numbers on both sides of either 3x3 or 4x4. (2) Never allow more players into games that started as 3x3 games. (3) Only allow new players to enter a game if someone leaves early; however, keep the numbers equal or 3x3 or 4x4. Consider adding a 2x2 option when a few people are queuing at odd hours and times.
  2. Star Wars has been betrayed because a low-life is allowed to stun a Jedi sage to death in pvp as if they deserved such disrespect. I doubt George Lucas knows about this or would approve of the cowardly classes that stun players to death and then run and hide. Backstabbers is too good a name for them.

  4. Streamlining is a great idea when you have many abilities. To streamline, you do three things: 1. Combine current skills. 2. Make some existing active skills into passive skills. 3. Allow players to have some options on which skills to have active and which to have passive. What you have done is nerfing. Taking away skills through forced choices is not streamlining; it is only annoying. You will drive away people from the current player base. For example, my two favorite classes are Merc and Sorc. I will not play either anymore, but will try to adjust to other classes (all of which I have at max level). New players should not be affected. I strongly suggest that you keep the current skill-tree system until you can revamp your attempt in a positive direction. My comments come after watching many videos of people on the PTS. The PTS is still downloading for me.

  7. WHERE HAS REASON GONE? The only rational excuse for light armor is you are tops dps in light armor. The only rational excuse for medium armor is you are in the middle of dps in medium armor. The only rational excuse for heavy armor is you are at the bottom of dps because you sacrificed dps for armor. Anything else is either bias or propaganda. 1. Excuse one for warriors having top or great dps: They are stuck fighting in the middle and front of conflicts. Answer: the main healing is in the middle and front of conflicts in both pve and pvp. Warriors always run back to the middle for heals. 2. Excuse two for warriors having top or great dps: Ranged are too far away to attack or pursue. Answer: warriors have not only great pursuit abilities such as leaping and speed increases, but also have great slows and stuns to keep targets within range.

    2 Class Game

2 Class Game: Congratulations for making one of the most desirable aspects of a MMO, pvp, undesirable and stupid. Giving one class the top defense, top dps, top stun set, top pursuit set, to argo, and top armor must rate as the all-time idiocy of class design. You even manage to make WoW pvp look preferable and it has similar problems and issues. Nice two class game you got now with heals and warriors. Yes, I have warriors on both factions.
  10. Congratulations on making pvp less of a grind so that people can play on a level playing field sooner. For pve, you use your programming to count the actual players before starting events. But for pvp you do not. This leads to a lot of quitting of pvp games and general discouragement with pvp. Worse, you let arenas start with one team all dps and the other side with two dps and a heals and a tank to guard them for an obvious outcome unless they have no gear or playing ability. Yes, pvpers want faster starting and more war zones, but your not starting them with even a pretend sense of fairness makes many quit during a game and from pvp altogether; therefore, this discouragement causes there to be less games available. We would have more and faster pvp events to play IF you started them more evenly or fairly. Not asking you to match gear or classes. Not asking you to stop pitting 4 wearing heavy armor against four wearing light armor for the predictable outcome. Asking you to start with counting and matching numbers of players. The next step would be matching heals and tanks in arena. Once there are then many more games, then you can qualify starts even more fairly. The only other solution is to open pvp to cross-server so that at least the numbers of players in an event is equal.

  12. Posted on PvP forums but thought it might be better here. Great job to all for managing to continually discourage people from engaging in pvp. Not using your matching system (tank, heals, dps) for pve for pvp allows so unbalanced game play in the arena that it is just plain stupid. Not using your counting system for pve (waiting until the right number of players actually enter) for pvp allows battlegrounds with one side with more players than the other. Not having cross-server pvp means continually making pugs, ungeared, and new pvpers have to face fully geared premades. Two sets of 4 players still makes one set of 8 players for a full premade that gives on chance, no fun, no competition, and no reasonable chance to the beginners who are often outnumbered as well. Yes, you keep more people learning the lesson that if they want to pvp then try another game or just forget about it on this game. Of course, the lack of world pvp is just the icing on the cake.

  14. I want to thank you for a great game and great fun. SWTOR is absolutely the best MMO of the many I have played. Unfortunately, I will be switching to ESO when it comes out. Why? Because the main characters I love wear light armor. Since the game is gear centric, this makes playing characters with light armor a serious disadvantage. I doubt you will fix this. I have seven 50s of various classes. I have even tried the Republic side, but the immature and gratuitous story line is too much too bear. Odd, considering how good the Empire story lines are. I always come back to Sith inquisitor. Perhaps the inquisitor can graduate to medium armor at level 30 and heavy armor at level 50. Perhaps there can be a skill tree option to buff the inquisitor armor at least as much as the assassin armor can be buffed. It is totally against the story and time period to have force users running from heavy armored ranged and melee classes. Force users were at the top, not the bottom in this time period. Force users should create fear in others, not have to have help to endure. Without someone healing you or putting guard on you, playing as a force users in pvp is just plain awful. Too bad my preference is for force users and you have this class backwards. Otherwise I would stay as my other 50s do not have the same problems.
  15. Time for everyone to roll stealth classes. They are already overpowered in pvp. Many would prefer pvp without stealth classes at all. But now they appear to be the only future option. Do you really think it is fun to get stunned to death without being able to fight back? So much fun that you want to give this “punk/coward” class even more power and options?
