  1. What he said. Besides, there are no GMs in game anyway. I think someone is laughing his butt off now.
  2. You will if you watch the linked recording that illustrates the example of a living, vibrant world mentioned in the first post. I think it's called "sarcasm".
  3. I would like to see an on-the-fly "key assign" toggle that works like this: 1. Toggle the key assign option to ON. 2. Hover the mouse over desired quickbar button (which is either empty or has an ability placed in it). 3. Press the desired key on the keyboard to assign the key to that button. 4. Toggle the option back to OFF. The current key mapping function is a cumbersome pain. Not really inventing the wheel here, as anyone who has tried Rift at some point will know what I'm talking about. Another request that is related to the above: Pressing the key on your keyboard that you know you have assigned to an ability somewhere in the quickbars should flash the button where the ability is placed so you can actually see it. Currently you barely see it if you see it at all. Note: That should work on empty buttons too.
  4. On paper it is, but it just does not feel like it. It feels like a bunch of mini-games connected with chat function, so your guild can pretend they are in the same game. But you are entitled to any opinion you might have of course.
  5. I would like to know that as well as mine expires in two days and I'm "on the fence" whether to continue or not.
  6. Here is a small but easily implemented suggestion for the forums and web: When making new announcements about upcoming patches etc., can you avoid using the word "tomorrow"? As it is, "tomorrow" is a relative concept which means very little in the global setting. It always confuses the hell out of me anyway, as your "tomorrow" is often "today" for me. If you would just settle for week day and date, it will be much clearer. Thank you!
  7. For interactions with twi'lek NPCs, I proudly present the Twi'lek Travel Dictionary. With this in your pocket, you will not only be able to get most of it when visiting the twi'lek planet (wherever it is), but you will impress any twi'lek you ever encounter on your voyages. As all travel dictionaries, it contains the very basics but covers most communication issues you will encounter. Enjoy!
  8. I would definetely like to see an option of choosing between 12/24 clock too. Thanks for bringing it up!
  9. You are not alone. I wonder why you are replying too. The guy is obviously frustrated after having lost 40 minutes on virtually nothing, without it being his fault in any way. And if there is a glitch in the game, then why would the devs not be interested in fixing it? Not that their are reading this post anyway, but venting frustration is one of the purposes of a public forum, and I've seen much, much worse here to be honest. Your post is venting frustration too, only for a whole other reason. Is your reason more valid then his?
  10. I have two main characters: One dedicated for duoing with my wife, second one for solo. The duo character is ahead of the solo character, quest and level wise, and is approaching the end of the class story. On our duo characters, we are doing everything together, including each other's class stories, even when it's only talk. On our duo characters, we agreed to never use the space bar. We don't even interrupt the "umpa woompa tatanka" of the space Apaches. On my solo character, I listen to all class quest talk, but spacebar through maybe half of the side quests, depending on my mood. I also tend to spacebar most of the "umpa woompa" guys. Anway, we should not complain about the voicing too much. When you think about it - if you took away the voice acting and the cut scenes, you would be left with a game that is not exactly very interesting. The fact that the acting is only fun the first time is quite normal, like with a movie. Sometimes you are satisfied watching a movie only once, sometimes you want to watch it twice, sometims you like to watch it again after some time has passed. It's no biggie, guys, just a game. Play it while it's fun, stop playing when it's no longer fun and find something new - I'm certain I will at some point, probably later this year.
  11. Based on the game's present technological inferiority, it does not matter to me whether it's Star Wars themed or not. The levelling is fun especially when you duo it with someone which I do. But I don't see it lasting long, certainly not for several years like a certain other MMO game has lasted for many. I will play it while it's fun (and it is fun now), but will probably ditch it after levelling 2-3 characters to level 50. So in short: If it wasn't Star Wars themed, I would to exactly the same as I am doing now: play it while it's fun, stop the very moment it becomes a daily chore.
  12. I totally support this suggestion. In the beginning, I was really glad to see that the mailboxes, vendors and other points of public interest were not covered in stupid dragon mounts woosh-wooshing their stupid wings, but those spacious big vehicles which we see more and more of are slowly changing the situation. At least the vehicles do not have idling combustion engines, or else it would be necessary to ditch the headset while on fleet too.
  13. No, it will turn into crap. But on a serious note, I would like to know about the gear changes as well.
