  1. There are clickable items in the phase - a basket of fruit, a chair, bottles, glass of water. These give an ability that pops up on your temporary ability bar. Each enemy has a buff that shows what can be used to temporarily break their special status, be it increased damage, alacrity, health regen or invincibility. In the case of the invincible guy it is the fruit basket that you need to click to obtain it, then use on him. Their buffs come back after a while so you will need to use these items several times during the fight. As for the cost, this seems to be related to your choices in the story. My chars who sided with Veek can choose Wald for 18K, and the ones who went with Indigo can choose the Dar'Manda for 18K. The thing is, those were the only choices in the story, as far as I can tell, so it seems you will need to spend 1.8 million any time you want to choose Nova Blade or Dire Skulls (or the choice you did not make in the story). So as has been said, an unavoidable credit sink if you really want the achievement.
  2. Yes, happened to me too, no skipping. It seems that we have to just hope it doesn't pop - if it does 3/4 of the group will have to face a lockout time. Or we just deselect it from the list, but then we don't get the daily reward. I don't understand how this can happen when they have obviously taken steps to address it in the patch, and presumably tested it and considered it sorted.
  3. Agreed. I had the same concern when I read that in the notes. I hope it is just poorly written patch notes and they have not fixed only half of that problem.
  4. I had to have chars on US and EU servers because of the population on the former Red Eclipse at some of the hours I play - solo play does not really hold my interest that much. Since the merge I have found Malgus (where the vast majority of my characters are) to be populated sufficiently at those times that I do not need to also play on Satele, which I did not foresee before the merge. I do, however, have one decently geared char that I would like to move to Malgus, and he is about to hit rank 300 which will complete my 100% cxp boost, so thanks Eric
  5. I play slightly unusual hours so have characters on both Darth Malgus and Satele Shan. It has been nice being able to synchronise my legacies for 150cc every so often. It may no longer be viable depending on the new price and if I have to choose I will stick with Malgus as it is EU. But I have a commando at rank 298 on Shan so would like to transfer him to Malgus to get the bonus there. So please Bioware put the transfer system back soon.
  6. Thank you for acknowledging the problem Eric. It is good to know that you are on the case. Just to add my experience - this is only on characters that recruited him in the last week, and he remains in the Alliance Recruits section instead of the Other Followers section, even though the details say 'Bowdaar joined your alliance as a follower'. In the mean time, please can you tell us if it is worth us recruiting Bowdaar on characters that do not have him yet? I am reluctant to do it before it is fixed if I am only going to have to do it all again.
  7. I have done this recently and can confirm that I got the correct email from Temple at the start of KotFE, so the code determines it correctly there. She was also my highest influence character, but my male Chiss was still made to end a non-existent romance with Kaliyo. Strange how the romance history gets assessed in different ways in different places in the code.
  8. I don't know if you are specifically complaining about my original post, or subsequent ones (maybe this thread has got out of hand *shock*). My original post was about people coming into 178-rated (according to the weekly Galactic Conflicts mission) flashpoints with sub 100 gear. I did not think I was setting a lofty standard by suggesting that they are too far off the necessary rating but I am sorry if I offended you.
  9. I totally agree Mike; skill is definitely more important. I would always suggest leeway. I have seen people in 192/198 gear playing sooooo bad I don't understand how they had got into ops in the first place to earn those comms. I mean, not standing in circles of fire etc. is one of the most basic things you learn. And as BobFredJohn said, people not learning their discipline (that level 60 Vanguard just alternating between explosive round and hammer shot almost made me cry). Conversely I have seen people who were a little undergeared but do everything right and things go smoothly. But what I am suggesting is that there are limits, so I still think a gear check would be nice: recently I had the unfortunate experience of a 20K tank in Manaan and, while I know HP is not an accurate guide, it is sufficient to tell you that things are going to be grim. It is this kind of extreme that is putting me off at the moment; I just couldn't show my face geared like that and I wish other people also would not. Of course, any system could be abused and we would not want to create a situation where people could refuse a pop just because you were not overgeared (as others have said, people are demanding 192 for level 55 sm ops now). I like the way missions turn orange then red if you are underlevelled; maybe something similar could be done in GF relating to gear. It could be tuned so a warning is only raised if there is a significant discrpency between a persons gear and the recommended, and of course if they are already in a group queuing together (i.e. people have agreed to carry them through) then a warning is not necessary.
  10. So, just like it was in the run-up to SOR, with the 12x XP boost people are turning up to endgame flashpoints obscenely undergeared, like sub-100 gear, 20k HP, wanting to be carried through to get free comms. I know there were requests for a gear check a long time ago, but with the introduction of epic XP, we need it now more than ever so I thought I would revive the request. I love the epic XP boost, as a way of fast tracking characters to 55. But you need to have alts that can earn comms to keep your new chars geared, as you will have skipped the missions that would get you gear and comms (and credits). But some people are relying on others to earn gear for them, which feels rather unfair. Most of us are happy to help people, but there are limits and we do not like being taken advantage of. I have never kick voted someone for being undergeared, as much as I have felt tempted at times, and I think most other players are also too polite to say, or just do not want to deal with the confrontational situation. We also do not want to leave the group and face the lockout time just because someone else is taking liberties (although I see a lot of people do this). So we end up enduring a rather unpleasant experience
