  1. I agree that they give you enough reason to be there, same as with Rishi for example. And I also feel that the way you use the force and are usually able to act with blatant disregard for lesser being's lives is great! However the story did feel more logical and natural on my smuggler than it did on my inquisitor. The Republic side (especially for non-force users) just makes a bit more sense. Yeah Krovos explains why she is there, but I personally had to make some leaps to get it to fit in my head: a dark council member on an unimportant world for something of minor interest. Arn being there was simply easier to explain and make sense of. Same as dealing with Petra. The dialogue is just more smooth to me as a smuggler than as a sith. Again though, because they are making a single story for all classes, it seems impossible to make it feel equally logical for all classes. I am glad they chose an area where my smuggler and trooper feel at home. Because it has been the other way around plenty. My jedi knight killing Valkorion was fitting, my smuggler defeating him by beating him up with his bare hands...not so much.
  2. Kessan's landing is actually a pretty nice place. If we forget about the Malgus-Heta-holocron storyline dragging on WAY too long for a second...this update gave us a nice area on a planet that we otherwise see very little off. They created an atmosphere in the village that suits the setting quite well if you ask me. It feels like a lot is going on and there are different areas and shops and conversations. I truly like it. Whether you enjoy the storyline or not, the characters are generally speaking a good fit as well. You get a real sense of the place and the people living there. It does work a lot better for non force-using classes to be there, but that is unavoidable at this point. With the problems people seem to have with other parts of the update, I felt this part is being overlooked. Of course I would prefer a whole expansion, but otherwise I hope they keep creating areas like this.
  3. I (still) don't have to wait long for a FP in the LFG queue so it seems fine to me. The quality of the players queueing went downhill in recent years but that is a different story.
  4. Same. 'Inactivity', I did not play for one day...SWTOR is getting thirsty. EDIT: I am in now, thankfully
  5. What I expect happens when this GTN fee goed live: -the less popular or less known items will dissapear from the GTN -undercutting will increase so prices will drop -less people will want to play the 'GTN game' -less listings and less sales means less taxes so...eventually it will also be less effective against inflation. This is pure speculation but the end result seems to be the exact opposite of what they want to achieve. I personally expect to list less items because it is a waste of money to offer items that don't sell quickly.
  6. Yes, they largely removed it, as with a few other areas, years ago. It still bothers me as it was a nice questline. They should not have removed quests from the original game, it is still the best part of the whole game. Ps: I always liked the staged bonus quests too. They removed quite a few of those as well making whole areas largely obsolete...darn shame
  7. Nah, those 10 extra levels will not solve anything. My suggestion would be to a. introduce basic mechanics in the solo game and b. make it so that you can only buy the master datacron if you already have a level 80 character. Give a tutorial if need be, but players should learn about: - interrupts - not standing in red glowing circles - enemy cast bars I cannot imagine people leaving because they have to put in a tiny bit of effort to learn about these mechanics. And it would make the game better if you would actually have to use them from time to time. It may make the experience more rewarding because leveling would at least take sóme effort. The battle of Rishi is the perfect example of why this would help. On the final boss, 1 or 2 players always die. Not because they are new to the FP, but because they forget they have to pay attention. To either the boss or the chat. And it's not like it is a hard fight either, I can solo it if the rest of my party dies.
  8. Oh you are right, realistically it would be a very bad move. I just meant that it would be a better idea than the more rediculous 'remove all credits' suggestions because that would kill the game almost instantly. So it would be a better solution, though still a bad one and it would bum me out a lot. So I am not seriously advocating it, though it would not make me quit either.
  9. You are on the right track here if you really want to combat both inflation and the money gap between rich and poor. A more elegant solution though would be to 'tax' people 10% of all their money every month. That will eventually fix the economy issues. Plus it will only make half the players quit instead of all of them in the event they remove all credits from everyone
  10. I feel like a lot of people are misunderstanding the intention and the options that BW realistically have. Here is the thing: - anything they do that would simply take players money will make a lot of people angry and/or leave. That is not an option - one time credit sinks are pretty useless and costly because they would have to keep making those till the end of times. Plus they would have to make them VERY expensive to have a real impact on the richest players and we all know how well that will go down - this measure was obviously not meant to make rich players less rich. It was meant to limit the influx of new credits and PREVENT NEW BILLIONARES. Yeah obviously it is not enough but they have to move slowly and carefully because...well just read this thread I am not saying they implemented this well. I hear there are quite some scaling issues. And there might be better ways still. But enough measures like this will eventually work. You can't complain about inflation and about having to pay more money for stuff at the same time. Either rewards will go down or costs will go up, thats the way to prevent more inflation.
  11. Neither compatiblity mode nor the firewall is the issue as far as I can tell
  12. I keep clicking 'play' but nothing happens
  13. I think their whole strategy revolves around preventing new billionares, not around reducing the amount of rich people right now. In the end the first will very slowly achieve the second. Besides there will be riots if they try to take money away from people in any way.
  14. Sounds like the perfect setup for GS 4, no?
  15. So I agree with a lot that is being posted here, both the good and the bad. The planet is visually really nice and different enough from previous ones. The story is presented in a different manner, where cutscenes are a lot longer. This is interesting because there are quite a few fascinating characters in it. The after story is also nice, though a bit more bland. However, if you look at the map, the mob density, mob HP and the way quests and their multiple stages are done...the design is bad. It's like the dev team completely forgot about Makeb and how that planet was abandoned. IT IS NOT FUN TO GO THROUGH THE SAME MOB-FILLED CORRIDOR OVER AND OVER AGAIN. It is hard to believe that this has to be said... I do not think I will do the heroics ever again and I only do the dailies when I happen to be on the epilogue quests (the Lane questline). I literally prefer every other daily area because of the incredibly inefficient way the quests are set up. To end on a positive, I absolutely love the new map UI. Great job on that one. It is such an immense improvement that was really needed. Awesome, so thanks for that.
