  1. Frankly, if you aren't supporting the game they I don't give a sh*t about you. I don't care what you think or complain about. Sub and I'll care. Just that simple. The game isn't here for f2p to play. Its here for subscribers to play. You're along for the ride. And hopefully, you'll dig the game and sub. That said, there is tons of content for the casual player. And by the way, casual does not mean solo. There are many casual players who are guild'ed. I think BW is cratering for groups a bit more. Simply because most players are in guilds. An old argument that I hate repeating - MMO: Massive Multiplayer Online.
  2. Been playing this game on and off since launch. And despite me playing every class story line I STILL replay them on new alts. I never skip them. The only expac I might skip is Hutta. The rest I play all of it. Again.
  3. Let me make a correction here: you can still group queue in BG in WOW. Just not a large group..5 and under. And of course, players have figured out how to get around that. That said, the permade issue has been part of this game (and others) forever. I've gotten used to it now. But not rewarding for loosing is just stupid. That means, if I face a premade, and have no chance at all in winning, I get nothing for my time,. Not even fun, because I an basically a doormat for the game. That's messed up. And it will lead to fewer players going into pvp. It will. This needs to change . PVP has always been toxic (in every game). But for those that cross the line, then enforce your rules. BW, you don't do that. Reporting a player is pointless and I don't even bother anymore. I just add them to my ignore list (which is huge by the way).
  4. Why should the dev's do anything for F2P? All the promises of F2P in every game never materialize; that includes F2P players converting to subs. They don't. So screw F2P.. be grateful you can play at all. The dev's need to focus on what the *paying* customers want. like scrapping this ridiculous gearing system we have now. That would be a good start.
  5. You can do it immediately. The longer you wait though, the bigger chance someone else will take the name.
  6. As opposed to all the stuns a Deception Sin has? Or a mando or merc? Depending on spec, an Op has 2 stuns and 1 slow. Also, not to mention most classes have some sort of immunity to stuns/slows. Mercs, Mando's, Mara's. Too much CC is an issue for all classes.
  7. ^^^^^ CC's have murdered pvp. I DREAD Huttball now. Not because I've ran it like 10,000 times but because the team with the best cc wins every time. Between the stuns, knockbacks, pulls, evades, and immunities- makes the game awful. Also, I play an Op. Ops are easy to kill. Not so easy to catch. But that's the whole point isn't it?
  8. I'm a disabled veteran with head trauma that impacts my eyes (among other issues). Yes, I've love to see better font handling in the game. The ability to increase font size everywhere. Not just scale the UI.
  9. Let me point out that all pvp in ALL games, the community is toxic. Every play PUB, or Fortnite? And those are recent games... try COD - hell I was cursed out once in MP ME3! It's the nature of the beast. PVP = drama. It's worse than RP drama. But you have a choice.. don't play. Regs are usually ok. I mean, we all see that one guy cursing at everyone telling us all how we suck.. and of course he's usually hiding someplace. Or have never taken a node, of any defense. Most of these guys don't want to help the team win. They just there getting their kicks trolling folks. I ignore them.
  10. Part of it is the freedom of the Imp side. If you play a SW, the class story there's no down side - light or dark. NPC's (and you companions) are mostly surprised, in a good way if you choose light side options. But JK... you go dark the game goes out of it's way to make you feel like crap. Except for Scourge, the rest of your crew will not be happy with you. Course that doesn't matter these days. But back in the day it did.
  11. Kallig's lightsaber is legacy bound, by the way. My jugg uses that blade. Looks great.
  12. I don't know what your definition of "good looking" is but Arcann is hot. A perfect husband .. tall, very well built, disfigured, and a damn good fighter... "Hello daddy". Probably gifted in every other way too.. So whats your problem?
  13. One thing I like about Eve, or WOW, GW2, FF, hell even ESO, LOTRO- is that the community is alive, active and the dev's are part of it. In this game the dev's don't listen to us and treat us as the enemy. I've been asking myself ever since 5.0 dropped why I was still playing and paying for this game. The dev's ask us what we want and then do the opposite. And when they grace us with a word or two it's usually bs. It's almost like they are trying to chase away what's left of the player base. The pvp community (if there is one left) has been asking for changes for years. Do the dev's listen to us? No. I doubt they even pvp. They do a hatchet job on the classes, make the pvp more unbalanced and call it a day. They rarely address exploits and when they do it takes them years not days to address. I mean, at this point in the game it would be easier just to roll a sniper and just not care. I won't do that though. I'm about done with this game. Despite my love for Star Wars. So now I'm at the point of looking around. I played WOW for 7 years. Really don't want to go back to that. And I'm a bit done with the fantasy based MMO anyway. So Eve it is. I want some hardcore pvp mixed with scifi. And support from the dev's and community.
  14. Yeah I get that. Although now, for newbies the game does much to hold your hand. You get isk and ships from just running missions. And most of them are in highsec space. Sure, you can still get killed, but anyone killing you in highsec space will die too; it's called suicide ganking. I don't get it.. but it's some kind of bragging bs for the a-holes in the game. It doesn't happens that often. Thankfully. And I do see corps patrolling certain sectors. Join their corp, or make a deal for passage and mine your heart out. Many corps will take a present age of what you haul, for payment. But that's life. Like I and others have said, there is a learning curve. Most never get past it. And I get that. As for dangerous space (lowsec)... join a corp and don't go alone. If you must go in alone, be quick - do the job and get out. And watch your back at all times. The good thing, once you level (if you can call it that) you'll be the one in lowsec space
  15. Since I decided to head back to Eve for a bit, figured I'd post this here for anyone thinking about Eve. Part of the Golden Rules when playing Eve: Be able to afford a loss Never fly something (or with something in the cargo) you can’t afford to lose. Yes, not even in highsec. Meaning that you should not fly a ship you cannot afford to replace and refit. Consent to PvP You consent to PvP when you click “undock”. You are not safe in 1.0 security space. CONCORD is there to punish, not to protect. Get used to the idea. In most cases, the only way to be 100% safe from aggression inside the game is to be docked in a station. Being cloaked in a secret safespot could work too. Everyone can scam - and so can you People offering free stuff? Probably traps. Be cautious. Free stuff usually isn’t. Not even minerals you mine yourself. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Paranoia pays off here. Double-check everything. Scamming and unethical behavior some would consider griefing is not only allowed, it is encouraged and rewarded by the game mechanics. Unfair circumstances? There is no such thing as “a fair fight” or “an unfair fight”. There’s only a fight. Circumstances are irrelevant. Just because you can fly something doesn’t mean you should. You will lose stuff, don’t worry! If you PvP long enough, you will lose your ship. It’s only a matter of where and when. .Somebody, somewhere has better skills than you, more experience than you, is smarter than you, has more friends than you and can stay online longer than you. Just pray he’s not out to get you. If you lose stuff, it’s almost always your fault. Really, only yours. Now you know what Eve is all about.
