  1. And where, pray tell, did you find one?
  2. Was really sad to hear that you are making extensive changes to classes in the new expansion. It's not so much the mix-n-match nature of it as the changes to the current classes. Ability pruning? WoW did that and it was a disaster, something still talked about derisively to this day. I would much prefer minor changes so that my Powertech feels like my Powertech with minor balancing and minor changes. I remember when you removed the ability to do hybrids something many players loved. That was the first time I quit SWTOR. I'm back with a vengeance have tired of the constant negative changes in WoW. Please don't WoW my Swtor.
  3. To be honest Carnage/Combat are the only specs that felt like they had a natural flow and it was pretty much from the beginning. Other specs were herky-jerky in some way and I had no desire to play them even though Fury was top DPS. I didn't notice too much difference imp vs pub.
  4. I'm writing about Anarchy specifically. How do sell a defective weapon at an exorbitant price, broken, and then never bother to fix it???
  5. I wanted to chime in as others are probably still interested and there isn't a lot of info out there. I purchased this for my scoundrel and it is perfect in every regard including sound. I did find a sound sample: It sounds a bit louder than mine, but mine definitely doesn't sound wimpy. Maybe we'll see more sound samples soon.
  6. Yeah, but: Every piece of software of significance (certainly with a user base) has a road map of some kind. Users/players need to know there is a reason to stick around. So, you really can't get rid of the concept of a road map. You do get to choose whether you do it well or poorly.
  7. Still broken with 6.1.2d patch. The patch was largely to fix them so don't know what else remains broken but the slots still are broken.
  8. Still an open question with 6.1.2d. With today's patch Emperors slots worked for almost an hour then all broke. So, no fix with this patch. Next week, Eric?
  9. Yes, safe to say this is a forever bug. The most disconcerting is when, in cutscenes, the pistol is on one hip the holster on the other. Hilarious!
  10. It's funny from the thread title I thought this was going to be a plea to buff Lightning Sorc and Arsenal Merc. You know, a nobody wants us in a group post. But alas, it's about gear. You should at least count your lucky stars that people are letting you play with them!
  11. Happy 8th to all! I'm a founder and I will never forget the early days when we could create interesting hybrid builds. I so loved my hybrid Powertech and Marauder. Sadly, a patch came early on that destroyed my builds. They began a process that pruned and nerfed all the fun out of the game. I'm back to check out Onslaught and sad the classes don't live up to their original promise.
  12. Though it's a hard argument for a traditional mmo/arpg, I'd say ditch vertical progression altogether. They call it a treadmill for a reason, you get on and off at the same place. Here's the rundown: you are at power level X and new content drops which is at power level Y. You, all other players, and the environment all move from X to Y. The only difference is numbers on a character sheet (or combat log). You kill things at the same rate and you die just as fast at Y as you did at X. Vertical progression only provides an illusion of progression. And, I'm happy to point out here that the emperor has no clothes. Since character progression is critical, what do you replace it with? Horizontal progression. Now, I'm not thinking that this will actually happen. Old school MMO's are not going to change any time soon. It's an easier idea to conceive for games like GW2 where there is some experience with horizontal progression, skill progression and the like. At some point all the hamsters will revolt, but it's out there somewhere in the future.
  13. WoW began it's major devolution with MoP. It's dailies framed the phenomenon of WoW as work. WoD continued and refined the theme. Something as cool as the idea of player housing became player sweatshops where your companions got to play the game with you stuck working your garrison. And, they, with WoD and Legion, took away one of the coolest QoL and fun features, flying, and put it behind an insane grind. Legion perfects WoW as work with artifact weapons, one of the most alt-unfriendly features ever added to a game. I did buy WoD and Legion. I won't be buying another expansion. The fact that they put out bad expansions regularly is not a selling point to me. I don't want to see SWTOR emulate any aspect of WoW in its current iterations. I see hopeful signs regarding direction with SWTOR. I hope they continue and realize their stated goals.
