  1. These new class ideas are for using the melee weapons (that aren't lightsabers) that are abundant in the game but seem to be rarely used. I also wanted a class that wasn’t really pro-Empire or pro-Republic and try to avoid them but get caught up in the Empire’s and Republic’s affairs while doing their own thing. Both Factions would get one new melee class. I will also go over a synopsis of each Class Idea and the new starting planet. I will leave the story up to any devs still working on this game if this idea is ever picked up (I doubt it will ever be picked up but I thought I would still throw this out there). Remember that I wrote this for fun, a very rough draft of a new class idea, and to see what others think. Empire: --> Corporate Enforcer <-- The Corporate Enforcer is one of the newest Enforcers of Praxis Industries. All of the Enforcer’s companions would be from Praxis Industries and the ship will be supplied to the Enforcer after dedicated service to the company and the corporate executives want the Enforcer to help solve issues around the galaxy that are giving Praxis Industries problems. Advanced Classes: Seeker/ Shock Troop Armor: Medium --Seeker: Uses a grappling hook and anti-stealth tech. Uses dual wielding melee. Disciplines: -DOT: Gains stun and poison abilities. -Healer: Gains Healing abilities. -DPS: Gains explosives abilities. --Shock Troop: Uses a stealth belt and jetpack or jump pack abilities to surprise and overwhelm the enemy. Uses one handed melee with a holo-shield offhand like the Sharratt Overseers have. The holo-shield deploys when the weapon is unsheathed. Disciplines: -Stealth DPS: Gains throwing knife abilities, stun abilities, and better stealth abilities -DOT: Gains incendiary and explosives abilities. -Tank: Gains shield and tank abilities. Republic: --> Tribal <-- The Tribal will use abilities closer to ‘tribal tech’ aka nothing too high tech. The first companion of the Tribal is a friend from the same tribe and the second companion is a starship pilot from Coruscant who agrees to fly the tribals around, flying them wherever they need to go using his/her ship. The rest of the companions are galactic citizens using modern tech. The name of the Tribal's tribe is The Silver Suns. Armor: Medium -- Champion: Uses Two-Handed Melee with a boomerang offhand. -Disciplines: DPS - Focused on additional melee and boomerang abilities with throwing knife abilities. DOT - Gains incendiary and stun abilities (bolas?). DPS - Gains additional ranged abilities alongside stun abilities (bolas?) -- Shaman - Uses one handed melee with a totem for the offhand. The Shaman also has Force Magic like the Night Sisters. The Shaman’s Magic has a ghostly/eerie look to it. -Disciplines: Healing - Gains healing abilities from tribal medicines and healing Force Magic. DOT - Gain ‘elemental’ abilities. Poison, incendiary, smoke, and possibly more that are deployed through ‘Tribal Tech’. Tank - Gain tank abilities from the aid of the Shaman’s Force Magic. New Starting Planet: Name: Yuruta (Planet I made up instead of looking though the countless Star Wars planets not in game) The two classes never meet and are on completely different areas of the planet. Corporate Enforcer: The Corporate Enforcer arrives on the planet Yuruta as one of the new Enforcers to Praxis Industries. The Corporation is having trouble at their mining and refinery corporate colony on Yuruta. Crime, rebelling workers in a couple of the outlying towns outside of the main settlement, tribals, and other issues are put on the new corporate enforcers who just arrived on the planet. After proving himself to be a very useful corporate asset, the Enforcer is sent across the galaxy to deal with other Praxis Industries related issues as the Enforcer also gets caught up in corporate politics as the Empire tries to nationalize Praxis Industries as a hot war with the Republic is becoming more of a reality and war eventually does break out. Yuruta Enemies: Mountain Tribals, rebelling workers, criminals, and wildlife. Yuruta Allies: Corporate troops, Corporate Security, and the towns and civilians still loyal to the company. The area of Yuruta the Corporate Enforcer is on is a snowy, forested area at the base of a mountain range. Tribal: A tribal helps one of the Silver Suns's chroniclers, who believes that not just their tribe, but all of the tribes on the planet are not native to Yuruta. The Tribal helps the chronicler and finds out that the Chronicler is correct. The ancestors of all of the tribals on the planet were apart of a cargo ship convoy when the ships were attacked over the then uninhabited planet hundreds of years ago and their tribe is named after the cargo ship they were a crew of: Silver Suns. Survivors from the dozens of escape pods that were launched to the planet began to form groups, which later became tribes, after there was no hope in contacting anyone off planet for help. All of the tribals were once Republic citizens and the Silver Suns's leader sends the Tribal to the new small colony town in the area to get off world and seek help from the Republic’s government. The Tribal, with the aid of the Republic government, finds out that all of the original survivors from the cargo ships all lived and worked on [Named Planet]. However, [Named Planet] is no longer in any Republic database of planets and cannot be located. Now, the Tribal goes across the galaxy to find clues for the whereabouts of his peoples' homeworld. Is the Tribal's homeworld a thriving world, a backwater world, or did something apocalyptic happen to it? Why was it taken out of planetary databases? Yuruta Enemies: Other named tribe, Praxis Industries corporate troops, and wildlife. Yuruta Allies: The Silver Suns tribe, the new small colony town. The area of Yuruta the Tribal is on is a lush tropical paradise and is in a big tribal territory war with another tribe. Note: In order to explain any speeder bike travel for the Tribals on Yuruta, I think each speeder bike taxi point could be a Silver Suns tribe village and the friendly colonists were able to teach them how to use speeder bikes. There is a decent amount of cooperation between the Silver Suns tribe and the friendly colony town. Or they ride some kind of native flying animal from taxi point to taxi point like on Alderaan.
  2. The idea for these decorations would be that the televisions would be the same size and look as the Server Monitor deco and there would be four variants, each an individual deco. There would be no noise coming from the televisions but they would show animations. If animations can't be done, then still images would appear. The four variants are: Empire TV: Shows the Imperial News show when we get events, with three different footage/images individually cutting into the news broadcast. These three videos/images would be an Imperial Dreadnaught flying above a decimated burning city, Imperial troops and Sith marching in a military parade with civilians looking on, and an Imperial military recruiting ad (I think an Star Wars Imperial parody of the Starship Troopers "I'm doing my part" recruitment ad would be great here just to have a little fun with this) Republic TV: Shows the Republic News show when we get events, with three different footage/images individually cutting into the news broadcast. These three footage/images would be a scene of humanitarian aid to a war ravaged town, Jedi fighting Sith, and the Senate debating. Hutt TV: Shows a game show host(s) talking that cuts away to scenes of sports, which would show footage of Huttball, Pod Racing, and Nuna-Ball (that robot American football style game that was being shown in the background of the bar scene in Attack of the Clones) Commercial TV: A TV that just shows several advertisements. I got this idea from Cyberpunk 2077 'Just Ads' television station.
  3. Hoth - Large Stronghold. Echo Base style layout with 1/2 of the Stronghold map inside the base while the other half is outside. Time of day: Midnight. Zakuul Swamp - Large Stronghold. A town/village that covers a 1/3 of the Stronghold map with various sized buildings, all of which can be entered. The rest of the map is a spooky swamp. Time of day: Midnight with a full moons (Zakuul has three moons). Mek-sha Apartment - Small Stronghold. An apartment with an entrance similar to the Dromund Kaas Stronghold. Single floor with a main room and a few various sized rooms. Thereis a large balcony with a perfect view of the ship entrance/exit through Mek-sha's shield with ships passing in and out of Mek-sha. Whatever Stronghold we get next, (if we get a new one) I just don't want another ruins/destroyed Stronghold like Yavin or Rishi or a partial Stronghold like Manaan or the space stations.
  4. I think it would be nice, especially on the RP side of things, for players to have the option to write a description for their Stronghold and for anyone putting their Stronghold up for the public to use. Maybe I want to say that my Tatooine Stronghold isn't on Tatooine but in the desert region of another planet or that all of my Strongholds are on the same planet, but in different regions of the planet. There would also be a profanity filter and if any profanity was detected, the entire description would be rejected. Also, it should go without saying that there should also be a character limit when writing a Stronghold description. Maybe 750 characters?
  5. Here me out on this one: Disney's Galactic Starcruiser ship design...at least the exterior design of it. The inside of this personal starcruiser has numerous rooms of various sizes, most have a window or windows to see the empty void of space and effects to make it look like the starcruiser is travelling through space. There would be a few different levels on the ship as well that can be accessed with stairs and/or an elevator. There would be a hangar on each side of the ship, each one having a starship hook and one of these hangars is the default spawn point. Even though Disney's Galactic Starcruiser is nothing but a money grabbing scam, I thought the exterior concept art was nice and ran with that. http://cdn.pastemagazine.com/www/articles/2019/08/23/star_wars_galactic_starcruiser.jpg
  6. I know this is way beyond "3 Stronghold Ideas" at this point but I have a couple more to throw out there and had fun coming up with. Planet: ??? One of the planets the Eternal Empire bombarded. Time of day: Early Evening Map: A large island in the ocean far off the coast. A crumbling and burning city skyline is in one direction while the ocean is in every other direction. The starting/spawning point is is an underground bunker with a large central room with three smaller rooms. When getting to the surface through unlockable elevator that goes up to a smaller bunker room where there are a flight of stairs that lead up to the island surface. The island doesn't have any trees so players can add whatever foliage they want without have it clash with the look of the other foliage unless intentionally done by the player. There are some rocks and flowers though. There is a mansion on one part of the island with several rooms. On the island shore that faces the coast, there are a few boats at a dock. Planet ??? Time of Day: Midnight of a moonless night. Map: A large map of a pine forest. The player would spawn inside a large main room of a large two story house with a basement in the middle of the map. There are several medium and small sized rooms to unlock. Unlocking the front door will also unlock the back door and vise versa. The area immediately outside of the back door is a patio. A trail passes by the front of the house and goes from one end of the map to the other. The area surrounding the house is a pine forest. In the moonless night in the forest, a few ghosts will appear and disappear throughout the entire forest. When a ghost spawns, it is spawned in for several seconds before disappearing and not spawning back in for several minutes.
  7. I think there is another thread for that kind of question. This thread is just about new stronghold ideas, not general questions about current strongholds or their mechanics.
  8. A snowy mountain valley village. Planet: Meris V Time of day: Midnight with a full moon. A few clouds on a starry night. Map size: Roughly the same as Alderaan. A village nestled in a flatter part of a snowy mountainous valley. The buildings are more or less modern. The idea is that this is the beginning of a mining settlement as Meris V is an untapped planet ripe for mining. There are numerous one story and two story buildings, some small, some medium, and at least one large building that can be entered and decorated. Many of the small and medium sized buildings can be entered and decorated but not all. There is also an open, snowy field right next to the village that can have decorations placed. One side of the village is a landing zone with two Starship hooks and one Starship hook in the snowy field. Another area is the mining cave, which would be similar to Alderaan's cave at the mine's entrance (obviously without the Killiks stuff) but would also tunnel further into the mountain similar the Yavin 4's cave. The cave is completely empty so that players can decorate the cave/mine as they wish so the players are not forced into having a mine in their stronghold. The boundaries of this area would be as such: To one side, you have a side of a hill, cliff, or mountain that is impossible to go up. At each end of the village is an exhaustion zone where it warns the player they are about to freeze to death as their health gets lower and lower. At the side of the village opposite of the hill, cliff, or mountain is a crystal clear ice cold river that flows by that acts as another exhaustion zone that also warns the player they are about to freeze to death as their health lowers.
  9. SWTOR Victorian Themed Stronghold I'm not sure how well this could be done but I am thinking of something like this but mixed with Star Wars. Not sure what planet it would be on. The atmosphere would be like how it is in the video, except no rain. Nighttime with some mist/fog. Crescent moon. The neighborhood would have a similar style. There would be a large manor house with a courtyard. This could go well with those who are seeking a stronghold that resembles an actual home. The manor house would have three stories plus a basement. 3/4 of the map would be the manor house while the remaining space would be the courtyard behind the manor. There would also be small front yard as well. Default spawn would be by the front gate in the front yard. The SH border for the outside areas would be a brick wall just tall enough to not jump over and a tall hedge surrounding the courtyard. Again, not sure how well this would work but what do you all think?
  10. Planet: Mimban or Vendara. The Strongholds don't have to just be on the planets in game. Biome: A clearing at the edge of a swamp where the playable area is more muddy ground and some grass than water but of course there will still be some water in the playable area which any player can run through. Trees are spread out for the most part so decorations can be put down but there are some small areas that can have a more dense population of trees. Description: A large Stronghold map like Alderaan, large swamp village, midnight with a full moon, spooky atmosphere with a small bit of Lovecraftian nods/hints, an area where you are in the swamp outside of the village. (I got the idea for this map from the Call of Duty Ghosts map 'Fog' ) A large swamp river acts as a boundary on one side of the map while the other three sides are land. Village -- The map in mind would be roughly a little over half of it being the village. I'm not sure what the buildings would look like but there would be several buildings of various sizes and each one can be entered (unlockable) and decorated on the inside. I definitely don't want ruins to be the main area like in Yavin 4 SH or the Rishi SH but maybe a ruined stone building somewhere in the swamp area. A single landing pad with a starship hook will be at one end of the village near the edge of the map. The starting point for this Stronghold would be near the landing pad. A wooden palisade wall would surround the village. Underneath two of the buildings (not next door to each other) are secret basements. Maybe they connect with a small tunnel? Swamp -- The rest of the map will be the area of swamp the player can run around in. At least 2 more starship hooks can be found within the swamp. A path goes through the swamp to the village area. The trees in this area are, for the most part, spread out enough for decoration placement. To be realistic, this area would probably have to be unlocked so unlocking a village gate within the palisade wall would do it. Cave -- A small hidden cave can be found in the swamp. Its size is almost as large as the cave on the Alderaan SH. It is dark, wet, and has no natural light sources. Maybe the devs can put a mystery in this hidden cave. Easter Egg: Just outside of the playable area (within spitting distance basically) a Republic T3 CLARION has crash landed in the swamp. A nod to Luke crash landing in the swamps of Dagobah. Note: Going outside of the playable area wouldn't just give you an exhaustion zone warning but instead, the player would have fifteen seconds before being instantly killed in one of two ways. The first way is for the land boundaries where after fifteen second of being outside of the map boundary, a horrifying creature sprints out of some foliage at the player, slashes the player once with it's claws and killing the player instantly, and then the creature sprints back into the swampy foliage. The other way to die outside of the map boundaries is going into the river. The deepest the river gets is chest deep but after fifteens seconds of being out of bounds while in the river, a crocodile-like creature will pop up and drag the player down to a watery grave.
  11. A food vendor and a drink vendor. A lot, if not everybody has a bar in their stronghold somewhere. Some people may put up a small restaurant or diner in one of the buildings in their Tatooine stronghold. I think these two vendors would be great additions.
  12. I know that at the time of writing this, the Alderaan SH is about to come out but I had this idea for a Stronghold that is a village. I have no idea what planet this would be on, but I personally don't think a planet needs to be named and this Stronghold can just be called 'Abandoned Village'. The setting is at the dead of night with a full moon high in the sky. A light fog covers the area while a low-walled village with several buildings and narrow streets rests at one end of the playable map and the remaining playable map is covered in a spooky forest. I was thinking the map would be 1/3 village and 2/3 forest. A creek runs through the map somewhere. It is as wide and deep as the creek that runs through the Rishi SH map. The playable map area is surrounded by this spooky forest. Birds caw in the night and there are inhuman distant groans if you listen hard enough. While in the forest, you'll here faint whispers like the ones you'll here in Jedi and Sith temples/tombs within the game already. The village has a low wall surrounding it, every building is house sized and can be entered, one or two centerpiece hooks, and one spaceship hook. I am not going to list how the hooks are set up anywhere else because that would be ridiculous but I think a 'spooky scary' village and forest SH would be interesting.
  13. I was very happy when the Centerpiece hooks got those medium and small hooks placed within the Centerpiece hook itself. Now, I think that the same should happen to Starship Hooks. I'm not sure how the exact layout should be, but I think it would definitely be an improvement.
  14. Got an idea for a large SH map from Onderon: Either 1/2 or at least 1/3 of the map is a town similar to the Onderon towns. Most buildings can be entered and decorated but the wall that surrounds the town is only 1/4th the size of the town walls on Onderon. The rest of the map is wilderness. Jungle, forest, desert, frozen wastes, plains, or whatever the developers put. Maybe with some caves and if it isn't a frozen wastes map, a shallow river would run through the wilderness. I would also like this map to be in the dead of night with a full moon overhead.
  15. I came up with another idea for a place to put military decos for those who have themed Strongholds and have nowhere to really put down their military style decos. Name?: D'Qar Outpost. Planet?: D'Qar. Time of Day: Mid-morning. Weather: Storming. Size: ??? The Outpost is a map that has definitely seen action. Along the entire length of the 'front' edge of the map is a fortified barricade made up of logs, metal, and sandbags. The height of the fortified barricade varies down its length. Its lowest is the height of the tallest part of the Battle-Worn Barricade and the highest part of the fortified barricade is the highest part of the Settlement Barrier. The 'back' 1/4th of the SH map is a forested area where there is also a landing pad with a Spaceship hook. Between the fortified barricade and the forested area is an area that has some debris, a few fires, some knocked over trees, and a few different sized impact craters. In this devastated area but back near the edge of the forested area is a good sized command building that is two stories tall and has an accessible large balcony on the second story. (centerpiece being the largest hook. No Spaceship hook here) The out of bounds area past the edges of the playable map is one big exhaustion zone. The fortified barricade extends in both directions, even past the playable areas. (Barricade could go behind a thicker part of the forest so the devs don't have to make it seem like it goes on forever.) On the other side of the fortified barricade is a No Man's Land similar to real world World War One.
