Who the hell wrote those voice overs for Voidstar? Laura Bush? "Now, wasn't that fun? Now its your turn to try and put the bomb on the door!!" I don't feel like a Jedi Knight when I come out of that WZ, I feel like a kindergartner who just got back from a field trip .... I just want to know why I didn't get my graham crackers and luke warm milk when it was done. This game just keeps getting worse and worse. Either BioWare thinks we're a bunch of idiots, or they think the their customer base is now a bunch of preschoolers. Its embarrassing. The first thing Bioware needs to do it find the person who wrote those voice overs, and the manager who approved them and fire them both, right now, on the spot. Then they need to go re-record them in such a way you actually feel like a warrior in this game .... at what point was it lost on Bioware that this is a ROLE PLAYING GAME? "Now wasn't that fun? .... " Seriously??? I can't believe a professional game company would even for a second put that in their game. Do you really have to convince me I'm having fun???? Seriously disappointed.

The problem with the dividers is, it just guarantees a win based on team make-up and a random shot at which side you drop down on. If you had only one healer, it was a workout for him/her, but they could respond to the side being attacked and try to have an effect ... now, if the healer drops down to the wrong side ... there is no way they can get to the other side fast enough to have any effect ... And since you cannot see what's going on from the spawn room, you drop down to the side where 1 person is (on the mini-map) and THEN you realize its because no one is attacking that side .... so the next time you drop down to the side where every one is, and you find out they've killed everyone and the other team is now all over the guy that was standing alone. It took the WZ from being the best in the game, to being the worst. And that's always what happens you take something that have been tested and tested and test ... and change it. You think its a minor change and it totally destroys the dynamics that made it such a fun item/place in the game. Its the same crap we see all over the MMO field .... design it specifically to work THIS WAY .... test it for over a year, release it ....then change it so that its not what was designed, its not what attracted people to it, its just ... BROKEN. BioWare and EA want this to be a Free To Play anyway ... its likely intentional.

I just recently came back, and now we have all these dividers in these WZs .... the dividers in Voidstar? Just not fun. I don't know who was complaining and asking for these dividers, but Voidstar used to be my absolute favorite WZ when I left .... now, it just blows ... that divider takes all the defense strat out of the WZ and makes it a crap-shoot that you dropped down on the right side .... cuz if you drop down to the wrong side, they have the bomb set before you can get around. Stupid change.

LOL ... its simple. First, MMO's DO NOT take PvP serious. There isn't an MMO out there that has real PvP (Guild Wars and the like, are not MMO's ... they are Stand Alone games with a multi-player option). What MMOs offer for PvP, is a sad version of CC Wars ... and they deal as much as they can with the pathetic server lag and (in fairness to them) server limitations. Secondly, they ARE NOT going to nerf Jedi's .... for Pet'e's sake, this is Star Wars ... they a just aren't going to nerf them. And that means they are not going to nerf the matching class on the Empire side.

Well all I have to say is, I have a Juggernaught ... I don't care if they fix this or not. As for those that say there is a counter by not exposing yourself as a leap target. For real? Have you ever played a WZ in this game .... not only are there idiots who don't have a clue ... you have idiots who intentionally stand there baiting you to jump to them so they can kick your ***. Let's not even get into the idiots who will do it because they got stuck on a team opposing their friends, and they want the other team to win (we haven't even discussed how moronic that design is). So you jump to these targets, immediately push them off, and go about the business of scoring, while your opponents scramble across the scaffolding trying to get to you. There is never a lack of leap targets in ANY WZ .... and I seldom lose when I play my Juggernaught .... I never lose if there's another Sith Warrior on the same team. Give me another Sith Warrior and an Assassin .... we'll run the game, 6-0 ... I don't care what your levels are, or if its the 50s bracket. Its a flawed arena and PvP design, and all the fanboi defense in the world won't change that.

Can we please get the vendors back INSIDE the WZs. I'm fine with them ONLY selling WZ pots, allowing you to spend your commendations and repairing. If they were taken our because a few were abusing the ability to sell, then take that ability out. Don't punish the rest of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The OP's suggestion is useless. A) This game doesn't have PvP .... it has CC Wars. I didn't think ANYONE could design a worse PvP system than WoW, but BioWare did it. This isn't about fighting, its about who has their CC and CC-counters off CD. That person wins. B) The other half of their problem is, they put level 49's in the same damned game as level 10s. That has never worked, it will never work, and anyone who buys into the "we buff you up" crap, needs to share what they are smoking. "We buff you up" is just an excuse to not have to do it right, and introduce level brackets. Pure LAZY. C) Huttball is just a piss-poor design. You don't design a PvP arena based on obstacles, and then make two classes that can by-pass the obstacles at will. It simply shows BioWare's inexperience at designing MMOs, and it show the Mythic team was either AWOL in this design, ignored, or too scared to say anything. D) The majority of us are just burned out on Huttball (hell we're burned out on the entire PvP design in general). They shoveled this crap arena down our throats sooo much pre-1.2 that most of us would never miss it if it were taken out of the game right this minute. As for the OP's suggestion ... the problem with huttball is, two classes have a huge advantage because they can ignore the obstacles. The problem with the suggested fix is, two classes have a huge advantage because they can totally ignore the obstacles. All they have to do is pass the ball to a non-"leaper", leap to where they want to go, and have it passed back to them. If your team is lucky enough to have two (or more) "leapers", nothing is accomplished but the suggested fix. We're just frustrated. We were frustrated before 1.2, we realize that 1.2 didn't fix a damned thing ... and now because of the population we're frustrated that we can't get the one thing most of us are still here for, to pop.

We're down to about a 90 minuite window on my server. And its a west coast server. I can't play the planets (I have never been able to play Balmorra or Alderaan, the rest are fine). So for me its FPs and WZs .... consequently I'm down to a 90 minute window a night. About 6 hour window on the weekends. If I am lucky enough to catch an FP (there are very few FPs anymore, we can't get enough people the same level to need the same FP) then I lose out on WZs for the night. If I get a couple of WZs, its usually only 4 or 5 because that's it for the night, and I missed out on any possible FPs that took place. Its a BULLS*&T situation and BioWare is far too Cavalier about it. Its insulting how cavalier.

And you know what's funny about it (to me) ... Neither BioWare or EA give a crap. Its just so amazing to me, there is sooo much money floating around here, that they've already made back their money, they are making $15-20M a month ... and they are willing to let it go. I guess there is always that next game we will pay the $100+ for the CE, then pay em $15 for 6-8 months (so another $100M) till we see the writing on the wall and quit .... and we'll do that over and over and over and over and over .... who is really the morons here?

First, that statement is incorrect ... all MMOs have allowed free transfers since WoW did it when a server is dying and they need to move the people elsewhere and shut it down. They charge when its for no other reason than, oh, my buddy started playing, or ... I've pissed so many people off here, I need to move. Its the fact that they REFUSE to allow cross-server FPs or WZs that will make me scream BULLS*&T if they try and charge me for transfering my character. Second ... from day one, the majority of us have simply asked they implement cross-server FPs and WZs ... that would deal with 80% of the problems most people have with the server populations. 4 hours waiting for an FP to pop IS NOT ACCEPTABLE .... 2 HOURS waiting for a WZ to pople IS NOT ACCEPTABLE> And fortunately for me, they may have drug their feet too long. For the the last two months I've been begging my son and my guild mates to jump to another game ... to trying something new ... and they kept wanting to wait. Now they are starting to talk about games out there they haven't tried yet, and the games coming out soon. I loved this game, until BioWare made it clear they don't ... and they certainly don't give a crap about my son, my guild, or me.

If you're running you quests and crap on the planets and you queue for a PvP .... you need that guy to repair, you need that guy to buy pots .... and I used to use them to cash in low level commendations for higher. Not all of us hang out at fleet 24/7. Why were these vendors diabled???
-
I have yet to see a pattern for any craft, below 41. And there are hunderds of augment schematics on the GTN, but not one of them below 41. What is the deal????

Why is there a schedule for scheduled maintenance?
Zepath replied to Dawginole's topic in General Discussion
I have had them cut out server off early ... but ::shrug:: I mean if its going to be down for hours anyway, then what does it matter. I just find it amazing they bought an engine that doesn't need to go down for back AND its key selling point is that it can change game states on the fly while the game is still running (the client updates dynamically) .... but they still shut it down. LOL! -
Well that makes me feel a little better, I seem to hover right around 1.5M across my toons. That seems to be about average here, so I guess I'm not doing that bad.
-
LOL ... really? We have a thread about this? I don't think I've ever played an MMO ... hell mutliplayer game of any kind, that people didn't argue. SOMEONE is always going to be the guy having a bad day and vents in WZ chat. ::shrug:: If you can't deal with it, just put them on ignore. Otherwise, my suggestion to you is, grow a pair and get over it. This isn't elementary school where they make sure you don't get your feeling hurt. ... this is the real world.
