  1. Have you played MGS5 by any chance OP? The Emperor you defeat at the end of JK class quest is basically (huge MGS spoiler ahead)
  2. Ok what the hell is going on I subscribed well before August 10th and my sub is still up. I download the update, start the game and can't play any of my lvl 60 characters. The only character I can access is lvl 1 and the game tells me I need to "download planets" as I play. No idea what does that mean but ok, I log the character in and alt tab so everything can download. After an hour IN THE GAME, the dl counter is still at 0% and I still can't access any of the lvl 60 character. Furthermore, I can't even create the free lvl 60 premade character as the option is greyed out. What the fk is this?
  3. That's a neat quote about memories but I prefer the "dark side" version. Props to anyone who recognizes "Memories can be vile, repulsive little brutes. Like children I suppose. But can we live without them? Memories are what our reason is based upon. If we can’t face them, we deny reason itself! Although, why not? We aren’t contractually tied down to rationality! There is no sanity clause! So when you find yourself locked onto an unpleasant train of thought, heading for the places in your past where the screaming is unbearable, remember there’s always madness. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened. You can lock them away… forever. Madness is the emergency exit."
  4. Yeah, no. Show me your HK, I'll whip out my Jaesa and I can guarantee you she will destroy him. Pus she's even more of a psycho and easier to gear up.
  5. Does it even drop threat at all? Pre-3.0 it was pretty much a complete aggro wipe but right now I charge, use a single skill, camo and the aggro is still on me. I can understand nerfing it to drop a fixed amount of threat but come on, no way it's working as intended when the boss isn't switching targets when I camo after a single Furious Strike.
  6. I did, yes (thanks Pierce and your taunt). There is no doubt when the Emperor says it out loud but at the end of Rishi, SW was still oblivious as the only thing that could allude to Emperor's plans were some cryptic lines coming from the spy droids and even going with one of the choice during convo with Servant One, SW doesn't learn anything. So presumably SW is in the dark. Then comes Marr, says that the Emperor want to destroy everything and SW instantly believes him. Why?
  7. Damn, the thread sure derailed. Fair enough that Republic had sources to confirm Emperor's plan. The Empire didn't. The only one who had legitimate knowledge was Jadus and even this is only vague ("The Emperor is... preoccupied") unless the player joins him. Marr jumps out of nowhere with his freshly acquired knowledge (and it wasn't the Republic who supplied him the info either as the meeting on Rishi is the first legitimate meeting he had with Satele) and the only thing which is "confirmed" is that he "learned Emperor's plans only recently". Furthermore, in one of the choices as SW, Marr claims that "we both know that The Emperor isn't what he used to be". Well guess what, I don't. The only thing I know is that Hand is compromised and there were invisible droids spying on me, spitting creepy text lines. And you're not even supposed to know that unless Vowrawn passed you the info about it before running for his life. So we have Marr being fully aware that Emperor is alive, knowing his plans and claiming that Wrath also knows his plans with absolutely nothing to back up his claims. I say to his face that I'm the Wrath and I'll not let him touch my boss and he tells me to drop the act because I know better? And I actually believe him even though he gives me grand total of 0 evidence? Don't get me wrong, I really like the story of this expansion (although "let's drop the conflict and focus on greater good" does get old - good thing they spiced it up with Marr and Satele going practically renegade) but this is the thing I have to call bullsh*t on. There is simply no reasonable explanation beyond whatever theories we can come up with.
  8. Disclaimer - I just finished Rishi few minutes ago. I haven't stepped foot on Yavin-4 so there might be something explained there but right now, this struck me at incredibly far-fetched. During Makeb, Darth Marr claims that Emperor is dead. He's pretty certain about it even though he notes that even if somehow he is alive, he isn't in shape to rule. Fast forward to Rishi, suddenly he is perfectly aware that Emperor isn't dead after all and it sounds like he knew it right from the start. What's more, he actually knows what is the Emperor's plan. Hell, he's so sure of it that our character automatically is convinced (which sits wrong with my Warrior and I'd rather be convinced when the Emperor actually does reveal his plan, not by some unexplained Deux Ex Machina). So how does he know all that? Have I missed something?
  9. Apparently my lvl 50 sorc hasn't completed his Korriban class quest. Also whoever came up with the idea that we get an achievement for killing the last boss in an Op or FP but we have to do other bosses all over again is a complete moron, pure and simple.
  10. I guess factors like armor or headgear don't really count eh?
  11. I'd say the other way round. Judging by helmet and pants, it's supposed to be a robe like OP said. Advertisement on the pack is correct in this case imo.
  12. DPS companion of course. Myself I used Jaesa (RP thing mostly, Vette might be just as good). Got her as far as Rakata gear and I hardly ever had to stop for a heal between pulls and that's even without sending her first. Between Cloak of Pain, Obfuscate and Rakata medpack, spending more than 3sec for healing was extremely rare. Not to mention, you can send your companion first, let him / her tank for a while, dismiss -> summon after a fight and they come back with full hp. Takes a second and with Quinn you would propably still be fighting cause anni aoe smells. Right now I'm using HK with Columi mods and he packs even more "oomph" although I have to stop more often thanks to bleed heal nerf and mobs hitting harder (applies only to Section X). Quinn is overrated. I used him only for soloing hc dailies. Plus I can't stand having him around after certain event. For everything other than Belsavis / Ilum heroics - go with DPS.
  13. Where I come from, it's usually bad for business to hold out your hand for money up front before actually telling your customer what is it he's about to pay for. That said, I'm cautiously optimistic and really hope that RotHC will deliver despite not having class stories. Hell, it better do cause otherwise lots of people are going to be very unhappy, myself included.
  14. Hah I feel the same about my marauder. Every time I unlock new convo with HK (the only companion which I don't have affection maxed with) and I have to look at my character without any headgear, I can't believe that I actually went with the look I have. Almost every single thing, including race, I'd change in a heartbeat if only given a chance. I hope that barbershop feature or even complete recustomization will make it to SWTOR eventually cause it's really needed.
