  1. Worst: ******* Second worse: Douche'factory Both are my characters. I was drunk and wanted to see what I could make. I made a lot more offensive names, but I deleted those. I have those two reserved so I can trot them out anytime I see a Biodrone in chat talking about how everything about this game is just so original and the best ever.
  2. Uhh....this is WoW...only is space. Quests are the same, skills are the same, talents are the same...why do people keep saying this isn't WoW? This is WoW with lightsabers.
  3. Their communication in what they do for patches is pretty piss poor, so no, I'm not excited. For instance, what the hell did they do on Saturday? Anybody know? I also haven't seen any proper patch notes, just some general statements, other than the upcoming nerfs, which are pretty specific.
  4. They haven't yet gotten this game to work properly on a large number of PC's, so I imagine that it might be some time, if ever, before it is available on Mac.
  5. People who defend this games graphics must not really play modern games...and by modern, I mean anything AAA released after 2008. ToR has the worst graphics of anything I've played in recent years. Not recent weeks, or months, YEARS.
  6. How can people so completely miss the point? What is frustrating the OP and lots of folks like myself is the complete lack of communication. Well, perhaps not COMPLETE lack...but pretty damn close. You shouldn't have to check the forums or twitter to get down time notices. It should be in information box as soon as you hit login.
  7. I had a really hard time as a Sith Assassin, but I also wasn't playing optimally. I was deception spec with Khem Val. Ideally I would have been tank spec with healer dude, but I hated all my companions except for Khem Val. So yeah, if you play the way you are "supposed" to play, then I imagine assassin can solo just about anything. But playing the way I wanted to play, it was difficult and required every cool down + keeping Khem's gear up to date.
  8. A very, very large, staggering, huge portion of the current bugs, especially the game breaking class specific bugs, were present and reported on in beta. They are still there. A lot of the bugs you see have been present for months and months.
  9. Don't worry, it was easy to miss 1.1 since they really didn't release anything with it. Just some white hoth like planet that is completely deserted.
  10. You have to wonder if the Bioware dev team actually play any MMO's, or if they just develop them. Because they have made a lot of mistakes in this game that literally EVERY SINGLE failure before them has made and been heavily criticized for. Some of the systems in here are just mind boggling stupid. They don't even sound good on paper.
  11. Massive skill bloat, no macro's, and an insane number of abilities you need to use depending on the situation. I would love to be able to macro my pvp trinket to fire on shift + T, my defensive cooldown to fire on ctrl + T and for my knockback to fire on just T. And, I would like to remove all these abilities from my bar and just simply stick the macro in the appropriate space. That would help clean up my gameplay area dramatically, because there are a lot of abilities I would do this for. I KNOW THAT I CAN ALREADY DO THIS BY CHANGING THE HOTKEY FOR EACH ABILITY. I still have A BILLION ABILITIES ON MY BAR AFTER I DO THIS. Not acceptable. This UI is hands down the worst UI I have ever seen on an MMO. The sheer number of abilities are stupid. They need to change the functionality of some of these abilities and roll them into each other, or just remove some period.
  12. I am perfectly content with the WoW style loot treadmill. I didn't mind it in EQ, I didn't mind it in WoW, and I wouldn't mind it here, EXCEPT: For the unpolished, uncustomizable, complete travesty of a UI. If a game with this budget ships with this UI, compared to say Rift's stock UI, that does not bode well for the rest of this game. The crippling bugs in practically every single operation and flashpoint. Warzone bugs, EVERYWHERE. No attention paid to possible faction imbalance. My first thought six months ago was how are they going to make sure population stays balanced? Actually releasing Ilum with the current population imbalances. As soon as they announced it I facepalmed. Who could possibly think that was a good idea? EVERY SINGLE currency for endgame loot is annoying as hell. I should NEVER run a zone and get 3 different currencies. There should be an easy to understand and logical progression in loot. If I had my way, they would refund everyone their money, pull the game, put a very serious coat of polish on it and then re-release the same game they have now...only polished and fun to play. Not a bug ridden convoluted mess of poorly implemented ideas. I have great hopes for GW2 and their stated design goals, they seem perfect to me. But I also had great hopes for this game, and it let me down in every single way except for actually leveling my character. That was the only fun thing about this steaming pile.
  13. Tank companions, just like real tanks, are really, really gear dependent. Your companions also have cooldowns they likely aren't using, because the default option is off on them. I am a sith assassin at level 50, and Xalek has all my castoff gear. He has easily tanked BT hardmode. The best tanks are the tanks that are your same class, that way you can use the extra tokens from pvp and raids to buy them super gear. The same goes for as you are leveling...if you keep their gear current, there really isn't anything they can't tank. Key here keeping the gear current. If all tank companions were awesome tanks no matter what, then with gear they would be better than a player tank, and that would be bad. They are perfect the way they are. The only companions I used leveling up were Khem Val (tank) and Xalek (tank). I did not find them useless at all.
