We were attempting to kill Veteran Mode Colossal Monolith, but any time our madness sorc got cursed, he would melt regardless of what he did as his self heals would cause Curse of the Monolith to tick damage. This occurred even when he was standing in a rift to (theoretically) reduce his healing taken to zero (50% reduction from Curse, 50% reduction from the rift). Looking through the logs, I can clearly see Rift touched applied (and subsequently kolto shell dropped to 0 healing for example), but his self heals (through e.g. Creeping Terror, Affliction, Force Lightning) would still heal him and therefore kill him. Is this now intended or a bug?
  2. Confirming that this is the case for me too - after the reset this morning (March 15) the conquest objectives for this week have been updated, but the daily areas and heroics missions are the same as last week.

  5. TLDR; When I had a veteran mode lockout on the Golden Fury (Toborro's Courtyard / TC), groupfinder would not 'find' TC as a viable option for the group when queue'ing for an op. The details: We had 7 people in the group with combat roles properly set. Myself (op leader) and one other member in the group had a Veteran Mode lockout for the Golden Fury. The only other group lockouts were for Veteran mode dread fortress which was not one of the groupfinder ops at the time. No filters were set on the operations in groupfinder for myself or for our 8th person (no lockouts) who was queuing independently. When queuing the group, we would get matched up almost instantly, but after 30-40 attempts, never once had Toborro's Courtyard appear. I then set my filter to only select Toborro's Courtyard from among the available operations. The 8th player was still queued independently. When I queued the group, we waited over a minute without having groupfinder place anyone into the group. The suggests to me that the veteran mode lockout (either on myself or the other player) was inappropriately preventing groupfinder from matching the group to the TC op. Note that, when we re-invited the 8th person to the group, selected TC as the only filter, and then "Queued group' it was successful and we were able to transport to the instance, enter it, and kill the boss - confirming that the vet mode lockouts did not prevent us from entering the story mode op. It just prevented groupfinder from matching an individual to a (mostly complete) group of players.
  6. I'm trying to understand better how operation boss lockouts work. I understand that in Story Mode, lockouts reset daily. In Veteran mode and higher it is a weekly lock out. Let's say I kill the first boss in an op. I am then locked out on that boss until the following Tuesday at midnight UTC. If I then form an ops group and enter the instance and no one else in the group has a lockout, what happens for the other players in the group? Do they automatically get locked out from the first boss when they enter the instance (with/without a warning)? Do they get locked out of the first boss only upon engaging the second boss (or taking the speeder/travel to the next boss)? Or do the other group members remain free from lockouts until the second boss is killed (and if so, is everyone locked out of boss 1 AND 2, or just boss 2 for those that joined in)?

While I would support the original poster's suggestion of locking the content based on progression for the first character on that account, I would imagine that would take significant developer effort to do and don't really see it as a great return on investment. I do think it would be helpful to have something akin to the chart/graphic that was linked to available from inside the game. A 'where am I in the storyline" type help window would be useful for both new and returning players. Another option would be to make the choice more explicit for the player when they might encounter content that is past the point in the story they have reached. This already happens for some content - if you are sufficient level, you can start KOTFE without having completed your class quests for example, but there's an explicit confirmation required to do so. You could add a warning when queue'ing for group content that you might be placed in a group activity that is past the point in the story that your character has reached.
  9. I can confirm the same problem. I have tried to reset the mission and re-speak with Lana/Hylo but that did not help. I've opened a ticket as well, just to see if that can help move things along.
  10. In case someone finds this thread, I thought I would follow up with the solution that worked for me. There is an option in the general options page to "Enable focus target" or something similar. That was unchecked by default for me. Strangely enough, I could still set a focus target (Alt-T), but the focus target modifier would not work. Once that option was set, the focus target modifier key worked.
  11. I'm having exactly the same issue. I've tried remapping the key, resetting it to default, mapping it to a mouse button, but nothing works. I've tried it with my companion as the focus target or an NPC as the focus target to no avail. The self target modifier works as expected, but the focus target modifier does not.

  13. I'm sure it has been asked before, but the search function is not being friendly today... I've just recently hit level 50 with my first character and I'm not sure if I should head directly into the Rise of the Hutt cartel expansion (i.e. go to Makeb and continue the main storyline quests) or if I should spend some time doing the quests on Ilum etc. Given that I'm a very casual player with irregular play times, I don't do much 'group' content if that makes a difference in what I should do. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! P.S. I'm playing a jedi sage spec'ed as a healer. My gear is mostly green to blue looted gear and/or quest rewards. I just recently resubscribed so I had been playing as a free to play (preferred status) and as such hadn't made any effort to pick up 'purple' gear since I couldn't wear it. It's now an option (at least, for the next 30 days...)
  14. I'm also having difficulty getting used to WASD. I'm not entirely new to MMORPGs, but for perspective the only one I've really played to any great extent is EQ. I find it really challenging to move around and use the various hotkeys (1-10,-,=) to attack/heal/whatever. I was looking into using the movement keys on the right side of the keyboard to use the right hand for movement and left for 'actions', but I'm somewhat stuck using the mouse (on the right in my case) to be able to pan the view up and down. I haven't found a way to bind 'looking up' or 'looking down' to a key. If I could do that, I would ditch the mouse almost entirely.
