  1. Thanks! I have and unfortunately it isn't. It's just on Voss, every other planet ist fine. Maybe not for everyone. Other people have noticed the same thing, there is a thread for it in General Discussions, so it is not just me. My computer is built for currently released games, so my specs are not an issue. The trees in my game look similar to those in your second screenshot, which compared to old pictures is less detailed and weirdly shaded. There is random black shrubbery about, and no visible difference between high and low quality textures. I can post screenshots tomorrow. Perhaps the change was intended.
  2. So this hasn't been officially acknowleded as far as I know. The textures on Voss are always low quality since update 7.3. even when you have the settings on high.
  3. On every other planet there's a noticeable difference when you switch between high and low textures. Not so on Voss after the update, so I hope it's not intended. I also came across some black shrubbery, which hopefully also means something went wrong with the textures. Just would be grand if the devs were to acknowledge this.
  4. It can't possibly be an upgrade. The trees look no different with high or low textures on, I can't even tell which screenshot is which. Compared to old pictures of Voss, the leaves look rubbery and are not properly shaded, and the tree bark has lost all details. Shrubbery is basically invisible from afar.
  5. Sure some of them have bigger salaries, I can't imagine the German ones being that expensive though. Sure it's costly over all but I don't believe that voice acting cost outweighs everything else that immensely. But no way to know. I don't mind the main story being shorter if the quality is better (e.g. no KOTOR conversations)
  6. Yeah I know it's there to save money and not for the fun of it. So, ideally I'd like the devs to reduce cost for something else and add a fraction more voiced dialogue instead of the terrible KOTOR style convos as part of the main story. Obviously I have no idea how exactly this game is budgeted. Yavin side quests were fine, they're condensed, you don't have to endure the awkward dialogue mode and your characters even say something from time to time. Much better imo, they can gladly bring them back instead of this rubbish.
  7. I hate these type of conversations as well, it makes the quests so immemorable, I've already forgotten most of what happened with Lane and i don't care one bit about that character, or Master Ranos, or Amity, or every other one we talk to in that way. Even worse if it's in Alien language, the Gormak droning on and on about Voss lore (or was it lore? I forgot) was terrible, I'd actually rather just get a codex entry. Now, if this is restricted to side stuff like seasons and bonus characters, whatever, but it's very lame as part of the main story. I'd prefer having short cutscenes, with additional info dropped in other ways to this terrible abomination. If i wanted to play KOTOR, I would do just that.
  8. I really wanted to like this expansion, and I tried very very hard. I still think that, upon release, people have been too harsh regarding a lot of things. And the new Galactic Seasons is really much better than the last. But it's been three months since the delayed release, and almost half a year since the actual anniversary, and so far all we got was a very small and incomplete content update, a huge decrease in QoL, very incomplete bug fixes, and no bloody information! Communication from the devs has been worse than that of Deutsche Bahn services. "We're listening". "We're working on it". Yeah sure you are. Give me actual content or information on actual content, all this blah blah is a joke. I have never been more disappointed by a game, and it's not because the expansion was botched, but because of the way that is dealt with.
  9. Has there been any information regarding new story content at all? I can't seem to find any. Do we even know if there will be anything new in 7.1.? (I don't mean the ops stuff) The anniversary year is half over and all we got so far was what came with 7.0. and frankly, that felt more like an interlude than something that can stand by itself.
  10. Agreed. More letters would be nice, too. They can inform us of what our old friends and our spouses are up to in a cost-efficient manner.
  11. The named bosses have only 4 minutes of respawn time and you can just jump in if someone else is already attacking, this is really not a problem. I enjoyed it. Also, solo players can do 7 objectives this week. Overall this season is way more solo friendly (and also less repetitive) than the last. Kinda not getting what you guys are on about there.
  12. Yeah, woulda been grand if after KOTFEET they'd have developed the story based on force user or non force user, instead of Imps v Pubs. But they didn't, and now they won't. You get your supposedly super powerul force users having a tough time fighting some mundane randos, and your non force users constantly having to care about force stuff in this one size fits nobody story. But I don't think this'll ever change.
  13. gotta say that it brightens my mood to see this thread regularly pop back up amid all the complaints about bugs and terribly implemented changes. they added something that can be so easily ignored, but people gotta fuss over it.
  14. this is so true. its been more than two weeks since launch, and a week since this thread was made, and all we got is "we hear ya" followed by silence, and "more communication is coming" followed by silence. If i'd do that to my customers, i'd be reprimanded. though I gotta say, our health ensurance works the same way, so maybe i just got the wrong job. What a brilliant idea gonna try and apply that to my work as well.
