  1. Story is a big part of this game, so I'm going to put it out there: all Galactic Starfighter matches and Warzones should be canon. Personally, I already consider them all canon, especially GSF but this is a make-believe game where anything can happen. As a writer, it might be a challenge to canonize all PvP content but really, that shouldn't dissuade us from tying our experiences into the grand story of SWTOR. It may seem like a radical idea, but these matches tell stories that only the players in them can get to be a part of. Unlike Flashpoints and Operations, it's not linear and the outcomes and possibilities are even more varied. Whether it be stealthers in Huttball, nesting in Lost Shipyards TDM or a single Damage Overcharge in Battle Over Iokath or a stealth cap that turns around a Voidstar match, there are so many incredible stories to be told in PvP and they are told every single day. They are lived every single day. It is because of this thrill and this experience that I feel it deserves to be preserved, captured. The specifics and details are too numerous to be touched on, but recognizing that every match happened, is canon in the story would go a long way to honor that memory. Instead of a single outcome for Novare Coast, multiple battles over the same three artillery positions, multiple outcomes for the Alderaan Civil War and Kuat Mesas, all recognized. It may only be my headcanon at the moment, but I feel that every part of SWTOR, even the duels between players and the sweet moments of open world PvP, should be recognized as part of the canon of this game. This is our saga and I firmly believe it should be more and already is more than simply choices in dialogue boxes. That's my suggestion, anyway and I hope you all have a great day.
  2. Agreed, definitely would love to be able to get the ships I've already unlocked on my alts. Also we could use at least two more maps, one TDM and one Domination.
  3. I think it would be great if you added the original KOTOR fighters, the Aurek Tactical Strikefighter and the original Sith fighter into GSF as possibly Cartel skins. I posted about this in the GSF forums as well, but it's what I think is a legit good suggestion so I posted it here, too. Love is what keeps players coming back, love for this franchise, this game and its predecessors. The KOTOR ships and KOTOR itself is still a beloved game by many, so adding these ships into GSF I think is a great idea and could encourage people to give GSF a shot. Personally, I would fly those ships just for the thrill of flying an original ship from KOTOR. I'd even volunteer to write the lore description personally, but I know you got folks to do that. Like I said, love is what keeps us coming back.
  4. I think it would be really cool if the Aurek Tactical Strikefighter and the original Sith fighter from KOTOR could be added to GSF, maybe as Cartel ships. They could be alternate skins as one of the strike fighters or the scouts. I'd honestly fly those ships more often just for the chance to fly an original fighter from KOTOR. Making them a little cheaper on the cartel coin side, say maybe 500 coins or so, or just making them easier to get in general could revitalize a little interest in this game mode. We could also use some more maps but some new skins would be good, too. Maybe new cosmetics as well. Some players have trouble with GSF. Some have difficulty with the controls, or just don't like PvP in general and are reluctant to try it. I would encourage those people to overcome their fears and revel and enjoy in the thrill of flying, the freedom of flight in sky and space. Love is what keeps veteran players like myself coming back, and it's what can encourage new players to join in and stay. People love KOTOR and that love isn't going away, so I think adding KOTOR's fighters into the game as flyable ships would be a great decision and something for the fans going forward.
  5. Really, something has to be done about the leeches who just don't contribute, don't do any damage, are basically botting. It needs to end so we can get back to quality GSF matches.
  6. Bump! Sounds good, love me some tropics.
  7. I'd like a stronghold on Hoth. Maybe with a hotspring jacuzzi built in. I constantly find myself going back to Hoth just to chill(no pun intended) and having a nice stronghold there would be awesome. An ice palace... and an Oricon palace would be cool, too. Fire and ice, yeah. We cleared out the Dread Fortress and the Dread Palace, so what's going to happen to them now? Maybe they show up in an Uprising, that'd be cool. Corrupter Zero could make a return, maybe he has a family. Just ideas. Grobthokk Jr. Also, the Spirit of Vengeance is a really cool flashpoint, and I'd like more emphasis on ships in the game. The Star of Coruscant was a superdreadnought. SUPERdreadnought. The Republic should make another... based entirely on the fact that it would be really, really cool. Or the Alliance should make another one. We need new ships anyway for spoiler-related reasons.
  8. Yes, I know the state of GSF and so do you, nobody needs to rehash that. Moving on. New GSF cosmetics would be nice. How about having the Aurek fighter and the Sith fighter from KOTOR as Cartel skins? Alter the descriptions a bit, say they were refurbished by Czerka Interstellar or something and make them alt skins for the Tier 1 or Tier 3 scouts. That'd be really cool and nostalgic. Heck, people would fly those ships just because they're from KOTOR. And that new Eternal Empire/Alliance fighter, the one with the blunt nose, that could be in it as a Tier 2 or Tier 3 Strike Fighter alt skin. Honestly, I do love the GSF ships and this is coming from a guy that grew up with X-Wing and who still loves the entire Rogue Squadron series. Yes, even Rebel Strike. Great game. The people who designed these ships in SWTOR, in my honest opinion knocked it out of the park and as I've said before, it's nice to see them in cutscnes... even if the Warcarriers are flying backwards somehow. Also, nice to see the Thranta corvettes and Valor-class cruisers with some different colors. Would love to own one or two of those as a stronghold. Finally, new paintjobs for the fighters would be awesome. Maybe have them themed with factions like the Dread Hosts, Revanites or the swoop gangs. Gree digital effects as an engine reactant. There's a lot more you could do to create some more interest for us GSFers.
  9. There needs to be something done to prevent the griefing of DvL world bosses. Change their respawn rate so they show up more often during a victory state, do something to prevent players from pulling them and ruining group runs, something significant. The bosses are difficult enough to find and kill on their own without trolls intentionally pulling them.
  10. I noticed a couple new colors of Thranta-class corvettes in the Onslaught expansion. That's not a spoiler because you can clearly see them in the trailer. But anyway, I really like the way they look. Nice to see some variety for the Republic's light capital ship of choice. I would like to buy one for my guild now, please. I'll take it in green with the black-yellow lasers. Oh, and I'll be needing ten of them- one for each day of the week. Monday, Tuesday, Thrantaday, Wednesday, Thrantaday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and a new weekly holiday I'm going to call Thrantaday to commemorate the time I finally got to buy a Thranta-class corvette. Thanks in advance!
  11. So, one thing I've really wanted for a loooooong time was the chance to fly an Aurek. The Aurek tactical strikefighter from the original KOTOR and KOTOR II, which according to canon is still in this game. And vulnerable to Darth Malgus' screaming, apparently. But then again, what isn't when that guy yells? Anyway I thought it would be cool if maybe we could get some skins for the old KOTOR starfighters, the original Sith Interceptor for the Empire and the Aurek for the Republic. Maybe as a reskin of the T1 Scouts or T2 Fighters. Same functionality and stuff of course, just with the fighters we know and love, as cartel skins. That's just my suggestion. I love SWTOR and GSF! Best game and best game mode forever!
  12. Honestly, my vote is you get to pick at some point. Clan Fett would be nice though, so iconic.
  13. I just wanted to say how awesome I think the last chapters of Fallen Empire have been. The Clone Wars references, the Vode An background music, even seeing Valk and Jos Beroya again was really awesome. I especially liked the Mandalorian Droid Poppers, very nice little nod there and a cool weapon to use. Definitely cut down on Skytroopers. I don't do this often so I'm probably doing something wrong but I have to say, the last chapters have just been really great. They've been funny, something that's really difficult to nail sometimes and it's made me love these characters even more. Gault and Hylo are just too cute together. Fallen Empire has definitely been worth it. As far as the new event goes, I really like Master Ranos' look. Would she be our first Chiss companion? I really want light side to win if that's true. And Hexid looks almost like Akaavi Spar's sister or something… connection perhaps? I hope everyone's been enjoying the game as much as I have! Go light side for the event please! SWTOR forever!
  14. To follow up the previous thread about removing mods out of commendation gear than reselling for profit, is it known whether or not it's against the rules to purchase gear with commendations in bulk, let it cool off and then resell for profit? I'm told there's many that engage in exactly this, exchanging basic commendations for gear, letting the CD wear off and then selling it for cash, effectively trading basic comms for credits but is this action okay? Is there an official word on it?
  15. Actually, the campaign stuff, you can rip out the crystal for 7k and sell it back for 16k. And it only costs 60 basic comms for some of the off hands.
