  1. You people continue to be delusional. SWTOR is thriving and the reality is they did so without having to make new operations. You're going to have to get over it.
  2. People like you need to leave already. You're miserable, both to talk to and as a "community member" Just go.
  3. I'm starting to think that there's some kind of coordinated paid trolling effort among their MMO competitors. KotFE has been a huge success to anyone remotely paying attention, and there's simply too much rage too long after the fact for this be actual people with real opinions. Even Reddit is exploding with anger that is coming from too many new users to make sense.
  4. This game is stronger now than it has been since launch. All your complaints should be taken in advisement. Especially operations. They've figured out what works. They're going to stick to that. If you have a problem with it your lobbying is only going to matter if you come up with a solution that doesn't slow down their business success. Get over it.
  5. Because the fat has been trimmed off the steak.
  6. All you crybabies listen up: This was a declaration of victory and speaking out to those who are confused by the vocal minority on these forums, reddit, etc. SWTOR is stronger than ever. KotFE has been the best expansion the game has ever made. The future is bright. Yes, there have been problems but they haven't stopped SWTOR from becoming a true competitor in the MMO genre. I'm enjoying the ride, and for those who are whining about not being the center of attention - get over yourselves.
  7. If you people are that selfish as to think that your needs for something brand new overshadow the single most inclusive change to the endgame this game has ever seen you are COMPLETELY DELUSIONAL. You, sir, do not belong on ANY authority position related to this game. Step down as a mod of Reddit. Get out of the community. We don't want you here anymore.
  8. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that KotFE and its story-centric content approach is failing. This game is bringing in more revenue than every MMO out there except for Lineage I (WoW in Korea), WoW, and Tera, which is very popular in Korea. Korea is much more interested in online gaming than the West, which should be pointed out. For all Ghisallo's "input" regarding FFXIV, it is unavoidable that KotFE has outperformed FFXIV in revenue. We can be fairly certain that KotFE was cheaper to make than previous expansions too, so whether people like him like it or not, KotFE has been a revelation in MMO games. You don't have to make new raids with an expansion to be successful. BioWare story with a Blur Trailer and tempting microtransactions is outperforming FFXIV, which is probably the highest quality MMO in the world right now. KotFE is proving that there is a sizable demand for BioWare storytelling and that you also don't need to cater to the traditional MMO audience to be successful in the genre. If KotFE has been as profitable as it looks, I really doubt BWA will ever make that content anything more than a long-term, secondary priority. I anticipate BWA reinvesting more into this approach moving forward, because if these chapters end up being meatier and for them to ramp up the character engagement, it will be even more popular.
  9. MCB's avatar is beyond perfect for his infantile demeanor.
  10. Yeah I was in one of the progression groups for FFXIV and I do not miss that subculture of MMOs. At all. His comparison to aristocracy is on point - these people actually think they are better people because they can clear a raid faster than others. But yeah, WoW is having problems over the years because that model only goes so far - they have a stranglehold on that demographic but it's shrinking every year. Other MMOs are realizing that their ability to bring in other types of gamers is what the future of MMOs is. BW switching to Story-first, MMO bits- second is the right way to do things. Furthermore as far as group content is concerned Star Wars has always been about a very small group of people overcoming impossible odds. To me that's Flashpoints and 2 man content. They would be better served making that kind of content than having this "small army kills the dragon" stuff.
  11. So I haven't been around this forum in some time but this glorious post is enough to wake me from my stupor. I am in awe of the on point, accurate portrayal of this demographic's behavior. Read this post again and again Raiders. Maybe with some reflection you'll realize why you're killing the content you want with your toxic rhetoric, entitlement, and inability to grow your community.
  12. What happened to SWTOR is that it is succeeding more than it has in the past and they did so by not coddling and wasting time on the raiders as a priority.
  13. Since my little fan fic didn't happen, what I'm hoping they do with KotFE is have the loose ends tied up with something like: (SPOILERS) (SPOILERS) Valkorion: I sense you still have questions. JK Outlander: It still makes no sense to me how you could manipulate so many and be in charge of two empires. Valkorion: Time is immaterial to me. A single liftetime is not enough to build an empire, and that is the perspective you have. I sacrificed much to achieve what I have, and the Force makes anything possible. JK Outlander: Your boasting is getting old. I get it. You've won. At least tell me how you did. Valkorion: *chuckles* I supposed I owe you more than just boasting. I learned to possess multiple hosts and my ability to do so improved with time and mastery of the rituals. The deaths of the victims of war fuel the energy required. When I came to Zakuul, I was quite sated by what you call the Jedi Civil War period. The man you call Revan was an incredibly useful fool. JK Outlander: Revan. He was your puppet, wasn't he? Valkorion: Quite so. His life and the lives of his followers furthered my ends to such a successful degree that I was able to split my form into more forms than I could have imagined. Wars that I had an interest in are bountiful. Of course, he was still useful to me so I kept him. *shrugs* JK Outlander: Did you know he was going to do what he did after imprisonment? Valkorion: Revan was predictable. Always striving for the most grandiose, ambitious scheme to solve a problem. I admire that about him, but it's also foolish. His mind was fascinating to learn from for someone so short-lived. Upon your rescue, the only choice he had was to try to stop me again. Anything he did from that point would have sufficed. Where Revan goes, death follows. JK Outlander: How did you convince him you wanted to consume the galaxy? Valkorion: You misunderstand. That was my intention for centuries. I did not think this galaxy was anything more than just a means to an end. Remember that I was born Sith. I devoured a world before the one you witnessed. My home world. I wanted to do so again and again. The power was addicting. Sublime. In a way I have to thank Revan. When he broke free of the Dark Side after he was captured and returned to me after defeating Malak, his imprisonment and my attempts to acquire all of his secrets were the seed for building Zakuul. In him, I saw the virtues of both the Light I saw destroy the entire Sith civilization and the Dark that I had only known. The Force is far greater than just Light or Dark. It was then I knew that my Sith Empire was going to fail, just as Naga Sadow's before mine. JK Outlander: I suppose I have to remember you were around back then. Valkorion: Indeed. You do not understand the unspeakable horrors your Jedi and Republic predecessors committed to my people. It was not enough for us to lose the war. They wanted genocide, physical and cultural. We were all afraid and desperate. I took advantage of that, became greater than Naga Sadow ever was and wanted to deliver that and more to the Jedi. Over time, the Sith proved just as disgusting to me. There were dozens upon dozens of attempts on my life. The Dark Temple on Dromund Kaas stands as a testament to them and a warning. I commanded them, guided them with knowledge far beyond their understanding and they squandered it. The Sith are animals, frothing at the mouth, incapable of ruling their own instincts, let alone an empire. JK Outlander: So you wanted us all to die. Valkorion: It was not until I saw a man who had mastered both Light and Dark in one lifetime that I realized that there was more to the Force and to life. JK Outlander: What about your schemes in the war? What about our own encounter? Valkorion: This former motivation was still useful. After all, feeding on the dead is what fueled me. I did not lose however my schemes were concluded. I planted the seeds for the destruction of several worlds, on top of the wars' collateral damage. You stopped some. You didn't stop others. JK Outlander: Ziost. Valkorion: Uphrades as well. Darth Angral was useful. There were others the Republic didn't mention to you. I knew I couldn't complete all of my plans. Such is war. What I wanted was for the Jedi to forsake their code entirely and plunge themselves into the unlimited carnage of war, taking with the Republic with them. I succeeded. The time both of the wars bought was enough to complete my vision for Zakuul, and the deaths of trillions allowed me to ascend mortality itself. JK Outlander: You really are a monster. Valkorion: Perspectives and vantage points. Hopefully you release that moral judgment - the time will come when you have to make decisions that I have. What will you do when part of the galaxy thinks you are the monster? (SPOILERS) (SPOILERS)
  14. I actually have to agree that Shadow of Revan's conclusion was uninspired and really felt like "we had to meet the deadline and didn't have enough time to flesh out Yavin 4." I blame the two overly complex, waste of money operations that the raiding community whined about being too hard. If they didn't make those, and spent that time and energy on the story of SoR, then it would have been way better. Focus on a long-term plan for that crap in the Ziost update. Anyway, they could have done a lot more with Yavin 4 story wise. You know, with all those powerful Sith lord spirits floating around, the Imperial Guard, and that Revan could have been possessed by Vitiate the whole time without realizing it. If they were going with "Revan is nuts," then him being manipulated by Vitiate to feed him through a suicidal plot would have been a more insidious preview of Ziost. Maybe he could say he's had a vision since he was released from the Maelstrom Prison of a temple on Yavin 4 being the key to stopping Vitiate and that the Force was guiding him upon meeting him on Yavin 4 before you fight. Then Vitiate's spirit appears upon defeating him, telling him that his 'vision' was his gift and his quest for vengeance sustenance for his ultimate victory. Some dialogue like: "Ah. "Revan." The fool who though he could slay darkness itself after destroying a planet and killing millions of Mandalorians. The fool who killed millions of his own people after kneeling at my feet. The fool who thought he could get revenge and failed. Twice. Now you have killed even more with this pathetic scheme." "You were always a failure Revan. But a useful one. Now I will permit you to die." Then he collapses because he's been kept alive by Sith alchemy the whole time anyway, so Vitiate cuts the cord. His spirit emerges and tells you that the cycle is complete and the tragedy of his existence finally ended. Says that he only tried to save the galaxy, but was the conduit for its "inescapable fate." He says that the galaxy is going to change forever, but that he is not sure that Vitiate intends to destroy it or consume it. He believes that he was able to convince Vitiate that the galaxy is more than just the scheming Sith he defeated in his rise to power - life is more than just the pursuit of domination. He hopes that this is true and wishes you good luck against Vitiate. "You've seen how long he can play the game. The power he holds over the mind. Beware the Sith Emperor. This galaxy is his until you find a way to stop him."
  15. I really doubt Elara would still be in Havoc Squad after the Wild Space Incident. The Republic was hounding her the entire time even after her flawless service, and Saresh would not want a defector in a position of public renown or of critical strategic value, no matter how good she is. My theory on her is that she was assigned to a really nasty post on the Sith Imperial - Republic frontlines and by the time we catch up to her, she and her command will be wedged between Imperials and the Eternal Empire. If they really want to up the sad factor, they could have her fighting against her father's command =(
