  1. I dunno that I could tell the difference really. But be curious though about whether JJ would bring in more of the different styles of light sabers which might add more variety. I don't necessary want to see a lot of the crazy ones that appear in the comics, but that seems like a direction he might go.
  2. This was an unnecessary episode to an already overlong arc. That said, it was actually pretty good. The buzz droids seem total pointless though because they look too big to be covert and they seem to make an awful lot of noise. The explosion was pretty cool, BZ's death was actually kind of tragic, and R2 was kind of bad ***. But I can't get over how long and pointless these last two story arcs have been. They have served exactly zero point other than to be a vehicle for some Keystone Copsesque slapstick. Anyway, I hope TCW is done with these ancillary character stories. I have had all of the younglings and droids I can stand.
  3. Theres no level restriction to get it to drop. But you can't use it until you unlock the speeder ability (which is level 10 at the earliest).
  4. These last two story arcs have been painful. First it was the cutesy crap with the younglings and Asoka, then the slapstick with the droids. It was nice to see one of the clones get involved for some cool scifi actiony bits. I hope Gregor made it, though if he did die it feels awfully hollow. It seems to me there wasn't much need for it. In any case he was a good addition to an otherwise very weak story. Its been a while since we've seen a good clone trooper story line so hopefully this was some indication that one will be coming soon.
  5. I really enjoy this game. I think the attention to detail with the combat animations are great and the VAs for the most part are excellent. Its not a perfect game but its early and based on what I've seen so far I have every confidence in the Devs to make some really great content. The only thing I really want right now is more character slots but I know those are coming.
  6. I played CoX for about 5 years. It was my first experience with MMOs and its sad to see it go. I left because the game started to feel a little too dated and I wanted to try other games. Its been a couple of years since I've been back. I bounced around to CO and STO but nothing captured me quite like CoX did. It wasn't even the game play so much that kept me in it as the character creator and costume options. I played almost exclusively on the Justice Server for my time there my main was Atomantium (an homage to iron man... really). I was even lucky enough to meet up with some fellow COHers here in the DC area. I've been playing this game since the jump start and now reside on the Ebon Hawk with a very cool guild that has helped recapture some of what I enjoyed so much about COH. Hopefully the displaced COHers will find a new home here on TOR (the cools one's at least).
  7. I'd be willing to give it a go. I have a level 17 Knight that just completed Coruscant. That might not be what you had in mind, but if it does work for you we can hash out some more details. Her name is Kelani, I'll be playing her pretty regularly for now so if you want to send an in game mail to set up a meet I should probably see it before too long.
  8. Perwa Paqda... Yeah no. I never have any luck with these name creation devices.
  9. Mexican Pepsi. Or a Jack Daniels Single Barrel neat.
  10. I agree that people using non-RP names on these servers is really off putting. I really find it distasteful. But as much as I don't like the names of even the concepts (one in particular comes to mind). But to each his own and as long as they don't ruin my experience by being ***** then I say live and let live. Because ultimately, what is the alternative? If bioware starts policing the names, what will they classify as a non-rp name?
  11. I'm doing something like this with some other people (not recording it though). What server/team make up did you have in mind? I'd be interested if you still have a spot.
  12. I don't think there is any reason they "can't" have a force sensitive companion, they just don't. I agree though I'd really like one for my smuggler. Like a Padawan that had a change of heart and leaves the order. I think its totally possible for them to add one since a lot of the companions make clear they are working with you rather than for you (Akaavi and Risha for example). Which I think would leave open a window for adding a companion with force powers for the other characters.
  13. As I understand it, at this time in SW history and in this iteration of the Empire, the Sith Purebloods and humans are in roughly the same cast or strata of society (the peak being those who are force sensitive). Below them is everyone else to varying degrees.
  14. Superman hands down. It wouldn't even be a contest. Luke wouldn't even see it coming. Superman could just use heat vision from orbit. No lightsaber, no force powers. I could see it being a little bit of a cat and mouse game with Luke having superlative Jedi reflexes and senses but I think thats about as much as you'd get.
  15. The smuggler and agent stories are worlds apart. The Agent story is about espionage where as the smuggler story is an adventure/revenge tale.
