  1. I think there needs to be "Optional" Companions that everyone can get if they make the right decisions and that come from the side quests... For example the wife on Balmorra...i forget her first name...Sarkoal, that you are told to kill. She could have a really great arc and it's perfectly set up so you can go "I'll give you ride/protect you" and then you get her as a companion... then as you travel with her you can have her start becoming more competent and more of a han solo type. She even has a built in story where eventually she can ask you to help her go kill her husband or sabotage his career. As mentioned in many places Thana Vesh is an awesome character. There is also Darth governor on Balmorra... who would be really interesting as it would be her leaving her post and traveling with you, or you could go the route of having her be not a companion but you could eventually marry her and get a house on Balmorra. I don't know Sith Inquisitor story past Nar Shaddaa, but from what I heard, I think it would be great you could alter the story by wooing Zash and getting her to become a companion. Make one of those "we're friends and even though I'm technically in charge I'll follow you" type relations. On Dromund Kaas there is "The Duchess" who has another great set up for a story with her entire command being wiped out. She could plot revenge on Grathan or seek for a way to restore her men. During the Sith Warrior mission on Nar Shaddaa you have the option to kill or let the boss Sith, I forget his name, live. Why not be allowed to make him a companion?
  2. I haven't seen any problem that I've reported that are major issues fixed. I also haven't seen significant problems that have probably been reported and are well known be fixed... The thing that annoys me is that I see a lot of data entry mistakes or laziness that causes me at least a little confusion and I don't know how much it causes others. I also see little things being tweaked that make me go "ok there is this huge problem over here, but you're fixing... or removing stuff over here" 1) For example The Sith Academy Codex entry can't be gotten above level 1, but if you play correctly you'll be level 2 or 3 in that short walk there and codexes are meant to be gotten any level...so why is there a level restriction at all? 2) While at the same time... They removed the title Imperial Scholar from the game which was working perfectly and I don't know a single person who disliked the title or thought it was out of place, but in doing so replaced it with nothing else and didn't clean up the codex so the available title still says 0/1 or 0/2 (if your a Sith Warrior) for Korriban and the overall total number of entries is wrong. I don't see they would do #2 when #1 is a problem and even in doing #2 they caused more problems and it shows the laziness of the data entry people, because it is really apparent they, and other people possibly responsible for that data, aren't being thorough...
  3. Surnames are carried over to all characters on the server they are earned on. They are gained when Chapter 1 is completed Once you earn them you can level them up or something to get extra stuff and that applies to all your characters on a given server.
  4. The Secure Key Vendor is near the fleet cantina... I have no Idea where the CE vendor is... So yes two different vendors. This isn't that hard to understand... but the CE version can have access to both because the CE version comes with a Secure Key.
  5. Up to implies chance that you will get 5 days. By their method there is no chance. thus false advertising.
  6. For someone who likes to tell people to read it is obvious you haven't and if you did don't understand what I said. As far as someone being laughed at for doing it. That is what a class action law suit is for and regardless of how much sense it makes monetarily doesn't matter to some people that would rather make the point that it is wrong to false advertise.
  7. The age of the advertisement has no bearing on how false or true it is. The fact of the matter is that it became false advertisement within 24 hours of it being placed there and have had several month to change it. There are also many records stating that the staggering method was thought of as far back as that advertisement. The implication of the statement "up to" is that there is a chance that regardless of when you pre-order you may get 5 days of EGA time. That according to many of you is not the case and was not the case until the date was moved as such it is or was false advertisement.
  8. Actually theoretically everyone that pre-ordered that doesn't get in today could sue Bioware and EA for fraud. The up to 5 days thing has been up since pre-orders were started, but one can make a strong argument that because the plans for the staggered release were pretty much set in stone from the beginning that anyone that pre-ordered after the cut off day today... indeed actually the the cut off day of the first day... was lied to because after x amount of pre-orders went out there was no chance of getting the "up to 5 days." So that should have been changed the moment that threshold was breached because as soon as that happened it became false advertisement. And just to drill the point home a little more... Some people are saying people who pre-ordered in December have no chance of getting in today. They say that quite remarkably as if it is obvious, but if that is the case then it then should also be the case that it is obvious that the "up to 5 days" is in breach as there was obviously no way someone who ordered in December would get in 5 days early yet they still advertised that. I'm pretty sure they realize this and someone in their legal department pointed it out and that's probably why the push back of 2 days and that's why I'm pretty sure everyone will be in today by the end of the day...besides the fact that if they aren't then the last few people that would get in tomorrow would have a very small pool of people to go threw the newbie zones with and that's not good either.
  9. I'm hoping to get in tomorrow so I have an excuse for myself to blow off reading and reviewing the new 52 of DC that I've been doing every week. Most of it is dreck (chrome says dreck is not a word, but it is damn it) and I hate reading a majority of it but it does help me write on a focused subject. I'm not optimistic i just think that it'd be beyond silly to let in 500,000 people in total today and then tomorrow let in only another 400,000 people, making the last 50k or so people wait another day and just asking for massive nerd rage and bad reviews... as is they are already getting bad reviews for how unimpressive everything other than the cutscenes.
  10. Yup. you have a very high probability of dying of Heart problems, cancer, or you'll be practically Immortal at this point in time... and since we don't know which no sense in really worrying. ^.^ More than likely you'll be in the 2nd to last invite and I'll be in the last. I don't really care about it cuz I'm either going find a small group to play with or solo so I don't really care about all the other stuff people are complaining about. And also I think that people just assume all the people "waiting" are nerds that are just sitting there refreshing their email over and over and over for an invite rather than doing other things and checking every so often.
  11. i didn't say you were dying. I said if I had gotten close to dying I'd want things to happen faster. And that I'd probably not be waiting for access to a game...though i think everyone should have the outlook that they could die any instant... though that's hard to live by and a bit morbid no matter how true it is. Glad to hear you're living life and not in morbid fear ^.^
  12. I'd be more in a hurry if i was that close to dying ^.^ but also I wouldn't be waiting to play a game either >.> The reason they are doing it is the same reason every MMO pulls this. The people in marketing, who likely largely accountants and ******* artists, believe that telling info to their customers is bad. Game developers who are not excited enough to talk about their product to people are not making a good game and I can't believe that Bioware has developers that aren't excited about this game. Marketers however, generally, don't like telling people information and aren't excited by the games they are marketing and aren't really tapped into game culture so don't really get it... at least the people that are in "control" which could be the Marketers themselves all the way up to the corporate head.
  13. i wish people would use the word mature right... being mature doesn't mean to be uptight or not get angry or anything like that. It means you take responsibility for how you act. People should act as stupid as they want... but then also accept the consequences... there are a few things that tick me off... The servers can currently house about 420,000 people on the first 4 zones The community of whiners and anti-whiner d-bags The lack of communication from the devs giving info.. there are a number of people that would just like to know a ballpark of when so they can go do something else... kinda like when you call the electrician or a phone company or the cable company to come out and they simply tell you "friday between x and x or saturday between x and x" and so you spend the next 48 hours waiting and getting pissed because they are making you waste today and tomorrow regardless of whether they come today or tomorrow because you can't plan or do anything. this really ticks me off and i deal with it all the time with my family members... I have to calculate their delay period and project out a modified date and time for them to be somewhere. i feel it's inconsiderate and as such i feel that EA/BW is being in considerate and not creating a very good launch community...but then again the SW nerd community is one of the worst to begin anyways imo ^.^
  14. Or not as people are complaining that there is noone to play with... and considering the servers read mainly as light I have to bet that is more likely the case.
  15. I agree... Personally though I find this wave invite crap to not be very conducive to me, someone who it took them time to convince to actually buying the game, sticking around past my free month. It's kinda like going "Oh you want it now? Go **** yourself" is pretty much the vibe that it generates.
