  1. They're not the Rebellion. They're the Resistance, which I'm thinking is a New Republic-funded and led organization opposing the First Order, which is a group of Imperial remnants that holds control over a number of systems still. The scope of TFA is smaller than the OT, it seems. At least to start out.
  2. I'll just put this here. Enjoy it at your leisure. http://www.houstonpress.com/arts/no-it-s-not-your-opinion-you-re-just-wrong-updated-7611752
  3. It's been stated twice already. You'll have Shadows of Revan and KotFE active on Tuesday when the expansion goes live.
  4. Ah. I misunderstood. My bad there. And one that I like. It goes along with Return of the Jedi. "Oh, he's dressed in black. That's bad. He choked a guard! That's bad.... Green lightsaber! He's still good!" Obvious to you and me, yet I still see this theory bandied about. It's even appeared in this very thread, which is why I addressed it. As I said above, I like it. Luke was always the focus of the first three movies. Let's establish the new kids first and then bring in the mentor (and hopefully not just kill him off immediately).
  5. No. Andy Serkis was voicing his own character, the First Order's Supreme Leader Snoke. It's good to hear that Kylo's not going to be another Darth Maul, though. Such a wasted character that they finally made good use of in TCW. Well, he was there, even if you couldn't see his face. He was the cloaked figure putting his cybernetic right hand on R2-D2. No, he's not Kylo Ren. It's assumed that one of the major plotlines of the film will be finding Luke Skywalker in his self-imposed exile. I'm guessing that once the New Republic was established, Luke decided he needed to go on walkabout to teach himself about the Force, since no one was left who could instruct him. He's not had time to build a Jedi Order because he's been slowly rediscovering things from old ruined temples, holocrons, writings and so on. Imagine trying to teach yourself calculus with just an algebra book. He had to go find more sources and teach himself everything.
  6. Yeah. That sucks. Completely different issue, and I hope it's resolved for you quickly.
  7. You chose during that time period, yes. But you weren't a subscriber for that time period. "To qualify for the Early Access Bonus, you must have qualified for each of the four rewards by being a subscriber on each of the 4 listed reward dates." You were not a subscriber on August 10. Therefore, you did not qualify.
  8. http://www.swtor.com/fallen-empire/rewards Notice the asterisk? That means there's more info below. The asterisk is by "Terms and Conditions," one of which is:
  9. From the KotFE page. You had to be subscribed on August 10 and three other specific dates spaced roughly a month apart. Since you subscribed in September, You missed the date. It was originally July 31, but they moved it back to let more people in on it. Sorry. i missed it, too. Makes me sad that I can't get Nico, but c'est la vie.
  10. Kylo Ren looks at Vader's helmet because the Knights of Ren basically worship Vader. Kylo seems to be their champion, as it looks like he's the only one with a saber.
  11. Horrible idea, especially since it's not supported by the lore. Tell me if you've heard this story before. This 18-year old kid, Luke Skywalker, discovers he's the son of a powerful Jedi who apparently died around the time he was born. He learns this from an old family friend, Obi-Wan "Ben" Skywalker, himself a Jedi. Needing to go to Alderaan to help the Princess Leia Skywalker, Ben takes Luke to Mos Eisley, where he meets up with a freighter pilot, Captain Han Skywalker. Han agrees to take them to Alderaan for an exorbitant amount of money. Upon reaching Alderaan, they find that the planet has been destroyed by the Death Star, a powerful superweapon. Han's ship is taken inside. The group shuts down the tractor beam and rescues the princess, and they make their escape from the space station. Later on, Han and Leia arrive in Cloud City, run by an old friend of Han's, Baron Administrator Lando Skywalker. Lando betrays Han and the others to the Empire. Han is frozen in carbonite, and he is taken by the bounty hunter Boba Skywalker. Luke finds out that Darth Vader is his father, Anakin Skywalker, and he is redeemed as he kills both the Emperor and himself to restore balance to the Force. I guess I should also add that Anakin's former student, Ahsoka Skywalker, was instrumental in helping form the Rebellion against the Empire. ... And that's what the currently Legacy system does. The Star Wars movies are about the Skywalker Legacy. Every major and supporting character in those movies (and The Clone Wars) is a part of the Skywalker legacy. Most of them have different family names. It's only in the EU that we see other legacies (and, yes, there is a Solo legacy, and Luke is a part of it). I hate to say this, because it's never as easy as it seems, but all it would take is something like a /lastname command like in EQ to assign a surname to a character that can be displayed if they want. Keep the Legacy title as it is.
  12. I understand this is a troll post, but I'm sure enough people actually feel this way that I'll say this: If you're using reusable medpacs and stims, then you have Biochem, and you can craft consumables, too. Don't buy from the "wealthy fat cats," and just craft your own.
  13. The only way to get rid of gold spammers is for players to stop buying their product. Bioware can do things to curn their omnipresence and make it more difficult to do what they do, but it's not Bioware that keeps them around. It's the players that actually buy their credits and keep them in business.
  14. Treek is a different case, as she's purely a cartel market item. HK is gained through a questline. If you don't want to pay the million credits or 350 cc to unlock him, you can still do the quest line to get him for "free." That said, I wouldn't mind a legacy unlock for him. I don't play the market, so I don't have a ton of credits just lying around, and I have other things I'd rather spend CC on.
