  1. I'm getting the following error info from event viewer: Faulting application name: swtor.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: Faulting module name: swtor.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00a83f0f Faulting process ID: 0x11d8 Faulting application start time: Faulting application path: D:\star wars-the old republic\swtor\RetailClient\swtor.exe Faulting module path: D:\star wars-the old republic\swtor\RetailClient\swtor.exe Report ID: 587740f4-dedd-445e-986c-adaea7e029f2 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: The exception code 0xc0000005 normally indicates a memory access violation. Done a sf /scannow I have also tried older graphics drivers but no difference. Windows 10 20H2. Nvidia driver 457.09
  2. Don't you mean downgrade to version 1909? Current is 20H2, then 2004, then 1909.
  3. With that spec you can max it out in 4k with no problem, shadow etc. If you can't there is a problem somewhere.
  4. I have this laptop : http://www.medion.com/gb/shop/gaming-laptops-medion-erazer-x7835-laptop-md99121-130018428.html and the performance is better than a lot of desktops I've used. It generally sits at 105 fps and but can drop to 85 fps for a few seconds on certain planets.
  5. Before the update I was getting between 60fps to 105fps (never below 60) on max settings @ 1080, but after the update I starting getting 17fps to 23fps. After various tests the CPU, GPU, RAM and Disk they where not anywhere near maxed out so there must be a problem somewhere else. After hours of testing I located the problem. I deleted the client_settings.ini file and when a new one was created the only difference was PerfTestFlags settings. This change has now given me back 60fps to 105fps. Laptop Spec: Medion Erazer i7 4700MQ @ 2.4GHz/3.0GHz Processor 16GB DDR3 PC-12800 @1600MHz RAM GTX 780m 4GB Graphics SanDisk 240GB SSD 1TB HD @ 7,200rpm Windows 10 Pro
  6. My spec: AMD FX-8320e 8 Core Overclocked @ 4.4GHz Gigabyte GA-990FXA-D3 16GB DDR3 @ 1600 MHz Gigabyte GTX970 4GB OC Windforce Overclocked @1529Mhz / 4200Mhz 240GB SSD I get: 105fps @ 1080 average 65fps @ 4K Try running cpu-z and gpu-z sensors when playing and see if anything is maxing out
  7. It could do with 4K support even if it's just the UI. Maybe Bioware will do it as a lot of more people will be using 4K soon, especially with the price drop of 4K monitors.
  8. Anyone else tried or using Nvidia DSR 4K render then shrinking to 1080? If you don't know anything about it info here - http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/technology/dsr/technology I think there is a difference especially the shadows seem to look better to me but it could all be placebo effect on this game as it's not 4k optimised. It does work on games like Crysis 3, Tomb Raider, Battlefield 4, Skyrim high rez etc Plus you can turn down the AA or completely off without loosing quality just like a normal 4K monitor. It's good to see how game UI's look in 4K. If your going to try it, remember it renders in 4K so you need a decent graphics card.
  9. Why make Kotfe an expansion? It’s not going to continue like the normal swtor story line and you can get an lvl 60 character to play it. So why not make it a new game with a new engine and carry over accounts details. I’ve just been watching some game play from E3 and they just make swtor look like an xbox360 game….. ok, it does look like and xbox360 game anyway, but it’s 2015 and games now look like cgi from a few years ago. Look at Star Wars Battlefront and the Mass Effect Andromeda trailers done in engine. Have you seen Star Wars Battlefront game play graphics? I want swtor to look like this. I know it will never happen, but this would have been a perfect time for a new game and it’s not like they couldn’t have a subscription that works for both. Sorry, in a ranting mood…
  10. So I decided to do a little experiment. I started a couple of new characters, same class and levelled them to reaching the fleet. One doing just the class missions and the other doing all the first planet missions. I wanted to know what the level difference would be. I choose the agent class and used an XP boost. With the “all missions” toon, I complete the side missions in the area and handed them in before the class mission. Now the results were not what I expected. Toon 1 – All missions. Reached the fleet at just under level 16, in just over 2 hours. Toon 2 – Class missions only. Reached the fleet at just over level 16, in under an hour. So class missions only gave more XP than class missions and side missions. I’m presuming with over levelling due to the side missions the XP from the class missions must have been greatly reduced. Possibly doing the missions in a different order could give a different result. Also when I levelled my first agent a time ago, I did all the missions on a double XP weekend with a boost and reached the fleet just under level 15.
  11. isboxer with inner space will let you multibox / run several different accounts on the same computer, or several different accounts on several computers that are controlled by one computer.
  12. A GTX960 will run it on ultra @ 1080 with no problems. A GTX970 is overkill for SWTOR. My son's HD7850 runs it on ultra fine. My laptop with a GT555m runs it on ultra fine. I have a GTX970 OC in my rig and I can multibox running 3 instances on 3 screens @ 1080 ultra settings. The main screen is limited to 60 fps and the other 2 limited to 30 fps. The least I've had at anytime 45/30/30fps. Single screen/instance gets 100+fps. Not found a game yet that my GTX970 OC can't run ultra setting @ 1080.
  13. Thought it would be available from the terminal like SoR was, which you didn't need to even complete the class storyline or expansions. Already enjoying Zoist with my other toons. A bit busy on there a the moment
  14. So you can't play Zoist without finishing Shadow of Revan? Missed the Dulfy post - "The Imperial planet Ziost is the focal point of an escalating crisis. Level 60 players who have completed the Shadow of Revan storyline can now join in the fight against the former Sith Emperor!" I have several 60's that haven't completed Shadow of Revan because I got sick of doing it (after the sixth time). So it looks like I'll have to grind through it several times again
  15. So there is a 12x XP remover on the PTS that will obviously (assumption) be part of the patch. Will this stop people complaining about 12x XP? It seems like everyone can now be happy... even though I think it should only be available to players with at least one lvl 60 on both sides, but that's just me.
