I think its amazing idea - @JackieKo, as now ranked is no more and there is no way to get shiny flairs, would it be possible to convince the team to do that? taking template from S8 and just change numbers would be the easiest and satisfying way. I guess data is still there as all prizes were sent out automatically so just copy/paste query?

  3. all damage on MM action bars should be increased: - ambush should either crit for 200k or have two charges - takedown should also impose trauma (-20% healing) - Penetrating Blast should do at least 5-7% more - Tactical for insta ambush should be part of spec - New tactical should buff diversion (dmg reduction and increase damage based on people affected (should it slow targets?)) - stun should be part of MM spec without need to take it - by selecting MM your accu should be bounced to 110% without need for gear Also, props for still playing MM

Im getting 170k crits constantly On serious note, yes this tactical is quite nice however, it does require set up 4gcd's and you need a build to support it which makes your energy managment quite...well..it doesnt exist. Not to mention its easy avoidable - I think you even had a video about that. In comparition, Viru with UV tactical totals more damage although its not visible in one go. The biggest argument supporting this tactical is, that it keeps madness sorc population in check I hope they will bring MM some day back.... On the other hand, if they would provide more sniper tactical ppl would not be forced to use this one. I recently started playing with Ruthless Interrogation and, although I'm not having the big boom factor, I notice that dps increase is highier and I still can melt down ppl.
  5. @Shabir_Dhillon thank you for listetning to feedback 🙂 On the other hand, any chance we could have feedback on: 1. Evasive Manuvers not working against attack from some classes (i.e. PT AP) 2. Re-establish range not preventing slows (this might be evasive manuvers not working) - to be cleare sometimes when I pop up evasive manuever getting out of cover with entrench im still slowed by force lighting and upload (that merc channel blaster ability) In addition, can we add some more tacticals for sniper? I've a feeling that the entire class could be "fixed" by adding more tacticals i.e 1. Tactical that would give heal on roll/holo and heal under ballistic shield - you trade all big burst tactical for this one 2. Tactical that gives MM two stacks of Ambush (make instant ambush a talent to select) 3. Add some more healing to Kolto Bombardment 4. Add tacticals that would boost diversion either by adding damage reduction or more accu reduction My point for tactical is that, especially for PvP there is one tactical for each discipline and that is all; essentially ppl are forced to use one where sorc has like 2-3 tactical that they can use and entire class balance could be achieved by simply adding tacticals to change game play - just a thought for the future
  6. Sniper: 1. Heal in cover works as per tooltip - will probably become go to skill for WZ; for Arenas Over-Prepared gonna be a BiS choice - self heal doesnt make that kind of difference; does make difference in PvE; would you consider changing it to heal on roll i.e. roll is available every 20s which would give us 30% heal on roll as per current 3% every 2s? End effect the same, but more impactfull 2. Knocback on AOE is just a pure joke especially for MM/SharpShooter - for this spec, this change is like beating dead horse, just remove this spec for now it will be easier. Lots of ppl are recomending to put it into either Seek Cover skill or Pillbox Sniper as its more related to PvP and from explanation done by Dev it was removed due to PvE "complaints" 3. Targeted Ambush / Hotshot - actually a good change; it does play a bit smoother and allow for some nice combo with B-0 tactical so...good job! 4. Corrosive Refund / Scrounging has been redesigned. It now causes Corrosive Grenade / Shrap Bomb to refund 2 energy each time it ticks - no changes to energy managment from what I saw

  8. @Shabir_Dhillon why are you making your life so difficult? I play PvE and I dont have any issues in interupting Series of Shot/Penetrating Blast just before its gonna knocback the target. Moving it to talent that doesn't have any use is beyond my understanding. In PvP this knocback is essentiall and was with the class for more than few updates, its not a new ability so no one will call it OP. Options are: 1. Make it a part of class ("PvE complaints" so not an option from what you are saying). 2. Move it to more PvP related talent - options are Pillbox Sniper (already has a knocback so make sence class wize) or add it to Seek Cover which is 100%(ish) PvP talent
  9. this one makes sence except of removal of knocback effect on Series of Shot. This is a core part of the class identity and lets face it, quite usefull so please do consider leaving it or putting as a part of Vital Regulators Edit 21/04/2023 @Shabir_DhillonI've had a look into sniper tree and this could also be enrolled into Level 51 talent "Pillbox Sniper"; as its already revolves around knocback it would fit for this talent. In addition, I've spoken with few hardcore Sniper mains and everyone was quite suprised why would we be losing knocback on a class that already have some dificulties with keeping meles away (all these jump from juggers/maras). Consensus is its either should be enrolled into choice or merged as a part of ability.
  10. I'm not often commenting on forum but statement that Ionic Discharge should be changed or removed is utterly incorrect. 1. Damage Correctly executed rotation with this tactica is: Poison Dart --> Probe --> Explosive Probe --> AutoCrit --> Plasma Probe --> Ion Discharge; my highiest crit on this rotation + buffs from other player gave 171k so hardly a global and having in mind 334 gear HP its close to 50% health and please keep in mind that was a target that didn't had any defensive CD. Usualy crit is about 130-140k and that is it. Outside of burst window with AutoCrit available, this damage is closer to 80k. Due to the fact that its easy predictable even with shorter rotation (Probe - Explosive - Plasma - Discharge) you still have 3cds to prepare for it. You can: a) Mara --> Predation and run out of range, but a deflect shield, undying or vanish b) Jugg --> Shield or just take a hit with enrage c) Sorc --> Buble and use clouded mind or just force barrier d) Oper --> If you are not stunned you reall you not be even targeted due to roll and evasion e) Merc --> reflect shield or any other shield g) Sniper --> Roll and evade pretty much entire burst h) PT --> Did sniper really manage to do full rotation before you burned him? If so -shield and finish him! The only problem you might have is that when sniper catches you between defensive, but really any class catched between defensive CD will just die if focused correctly 2. Perspective issue In 7.0 lots of people moved from Sniper to other class as sniper is not viable so the only one that sticked to the class are quite good players who exactly know what they are doing on snipers, so the change to meet previous gold or plat player playing sniper is highier hence they have highier chance to deal with any other player but that is not a class, its a player behind it. You really dont complain about avg. snipers,right? There is no chance that sniper will global you, what you are seeing is coordinated burst becouse sniper often follow PT or other class to finish player - what you see is often that explosive probe is finishing you from 30-40% as the other class or player burned you down. Best example is PT - Engi due --> PT will provide stuns and initial burst within 3-4 cds and sniper will just finish. But please remember, you are burned by more than one player 3. Trade-offs Selecting this tactical requires you to: a) Spec to all crit bonus talents b) Run full crit build Which in effect makes energy managment a big issue - I had to learn how to manage energy for longer fights and if I'm not focused and have to kite after 3 sets of rotations I'm very low on energy but that is a trade off which results in high crits 4. One trick pony and glass cannon With lose of dcds and health regen Sniper essentially relies on damage and thats it...its the only thing that it brings to table and once focused we will go down quite easily. I guess BW wanted this class to be a glass cannon but unfortunetly made it one trick pony (Glass Pony?:D); removing or reworking this tactical without any further class changes will utterly make this spec a trash, but then good players will still find a way to play sniper. 5. How to deal with snipers? Just take one for a spin and see what are the problems, I've spent entire weekend playing as madness sorc to understand better what is their main problem (there is non really), so i recomend everyone whi complain about engi to do the same.

  12. So i was going through tactical items waiting for WZ pop and I saw this one: Technical Debt Flourish Shot / Shatter Shot applies Tech Debt to its target. Whenever the target is healed, so are you for a small amount. and I thought to myself "didn't they removed shatter shot from Sniper in 7.0"? So I was wondering, how Snipers can use this tactical xD But I want to check If maybe I'm missing something...
  13. Lets assume new ranked season has started - how it would look like? My thoughts - Sins, Op and Mara everywhere Wintrading on high level Team ranked without any pop if not coordinated within the guild or interested people and it would last 10m without prize announcment
  14. Ok so after comming back to ranked pvp after a year or so and after hundrets of ranked matches in pre-season as a sniper I feel like I'm able to contribute to the topic. From what I see, there are two main areas that people complain about when it comes to sniper spec. 1. Big burst Which in my opinion is something that we should maintain as this is ONLY contribution to the team that Sniper currently brings (except of diversion which is not that grate in many instances) 2. Lack of passive or active healing Many ppl on this forum highlighted that in order to stay alive and regen your health you need to get out of combat. This with all these maras and ops in queue is mostly impossible and after holo you just sit there and wait to die if anything else. From my experience in order to solve both of these problems is to add one simple tactical to sniper that would grant: - passive healing - heal on roll - heal under balistic shield Now, with this tactical in place you are actually achieving few things - reduce burst in all spec by not having 50% increase in probe, UV tactical for viru and insta ambush on MM --> Burst dealt with - you make Sniper a bit more stationary as you will actually be chosing balistic shield over holo (but you dont have to) so mobility is quite reduced - you are adding 3 source of healing to Sniper so you increase survival by fair cost however, you do not impact sustained DPS as snipers will be able to compensate by just living longer. In addition, what we would benefit is tactical that gives you stealth upon using holo so you are not chased instantly and killed, but that is just wishfull thinking. My few cents. PS: I do agree Slinger is in bad shape and can be globaled without any option PS2: Our burst is only thing we bring to the table PS3: Our mobility is needed as without it, we simply die to fast but with it we are able to kite untill enemy target is low or dead PS4: Sniper is super dependand on team coposition and do not counter anything at the moment - we need a clear role but unfortunately any other class can do better what we are supposed to do
