  1. First off drop Smash and Scream til later in your rotation/priority list. Your opening should start like this: Throw -) Charge -) SA- ) Crushing Make sure to have your top Mara guarded and tbh there's absolutely ZERO reason to tank swap for HM FB/SC if you have an assassin/pt/jugg in your raid that isnt tanking. As described in the previous comment just have that dps taunt FB a couple seconds after DD is announced then have the original FB tank retaunt it back. This way neither tanks need to stop their rotations and it makes the fight trivial. Interceding is fine on some fights but for FB/SC the last thing you need to do is to cleave your dps/healers so just don't do it. Another note is to make sure your dps is using their aggro drops (you shouldn't be losing aggro anyways but every little bit helps). Once you hit your first Defensive Systems you should never have an aggro problem for the rest of the fight. Just kite the blue reticles and throw your taunts/force scream/s throw/ force choke/etcetc to continue building threat during the shield/add phase.

  5. Lol this thread is so full of fail. It's so obvious the majority of these players all came from WoW. I'm all for people seeing the content but if you want the toys the big boys are playing with you need to put the work in. People seem to forget that EC is t2 content and just because it has a story mode difficulty doesn't erase that fact. All these people need to figure out what they actually want. Do you want the gear the big kids are playing with or do you wanna see the content because let's face it these casuals flip flop more than any politician. Here's a quick fix for all the casuals: Nerf EC story (and all upcoming story modes) into the ground but make it only drop Columi instead of Rakata/etcetc. That way the people get to see they story/content. Here's a quick fix for those wanting the gear: GRIND YOUR FACE INTO THE BOSS AND EARN IT! Man do I miss the days of attunement and even as far back as raiding in EQ. WoW did nothing but breed a bunch of lazy whiners and it's sad to see people not wanting to put work in to accomplish something.
  6. They're both solid for PvP/PvE and like many others have posted it all boils down to personal preference.
  7. This one and many other threads like this one make me chuckle. Juggs are fine. They were fine in 1.1.5 and they're fine in 1.2. In fact they're one of if not the premiere tank for hardcore progression in this content. Now people will always want to change their class that's a given but besides AoE threat (something this class WASN'T designed for) we're an amazing endgame progression raiding tank. We have some of the best CDs in the game for mitigation and Endure Pain is absolutely retarded. Here's some simple facts: If you're having trouble with threat (as a Jugg this should NEVER happen) you need to address your rotation and make sure your dps is using their aggro drops (many people fail at this due to tunnel vision). Many people also fail to understand how taunt works so do us all a favor and go read up on your class. If you're getting absolutely crushed then you need to address your gear. Many people on this forum do nothing but whine/complain, say the class is inferior/broken, but they never take the time to read a single guide/etcetc in regards to their class. While some of the OP's changes could be nice they're simply not needed. Granted this whole post may sound like a giant L2P but tbh the mass majority of players will never be able to play the Jugg to it's full potential and it's pretty sad. It's an amazingly easy class to play as tanks go but people are just way to lazy to put forth the effort to learn how to effectively play/gear out this class.
  8. Really? Do people ever read patch notes? Only Campaign gear for PvE will carry the Rakata tier set bonuses over to other gear. Also, like previously posted the same goes with War Hero.
  9. Until you get acquainted with the Jugg just stick to the traditional Deep Immortal spec then you can branch out to the hybrid specs. Also, there are plenty of threads about rotations just have to dig a little bit.
  10. What are your Assassin's Def stats? As far as just a quick look I can see a few things stick out. 1. First off your healers need to cleanse Mental Anguish faster (thats 32k you can knock off). 2. The charge dmg you can mitigate as well if your communicating %s you can start to back up to avoid that dmg (13.5k mitigated)
  11. When clearing HM 16m EC every second counts. Everyone posting seems to have the same rotation/priority list and even if its a little different you should still never lose threat on a boss.

There's been some pretty good suggestions here but probably the easiest thing you can do to help your Jugg friend is to not have a tank swap at all this actually makes this fight quite trivial imo. Now, if you have a 3rd member of your raid (we use a dps sin but any class with a taunt is fine) taunt FB 2-3secs after DD is announced, let him get the Incinerate Armor debuff, and then have the original tank retaunt FB leaving your SC tank to NEVER have to worry about anything but rotation and moving slightly back for DD. My rotation is similar to many posted already: S Throw -) Charge -) Backhand -) S Assault -) Crushing Blow I like to get my 5 stack up as fast as possible but after CB is when I usually throw my first taunt. Here's some numbers from our 16m HM SC/FB kill (I usually do over 500 but w/e): - Pwncakes 142767 5.4% 484 dps Crushing Blow 24481 17.1% Ravage 23991 16.8% Assault 16844 11.8% Sundering Assault 14313 10% Smash 12197 8.5% Force Scream 11626 8.1% Retaliation 10138 7.1% Crushed 7804 5.5% Vicious Throw 6258 4.4% Vicious Slash 5384 3.8% Backhand 3607 2.5% Force Charge 2938 2.1% Saber Throw 2449 1.7% Force Push 737 0.5% I also had 3 Maras pulling around these same numbers assigned to SC: - Xeno 575546 13.6% 1393.6 dps Bleeding (Physical) 186254 32.4% Annihilate 102222 17.8% Ravage 76487 13.3% Assault 74484 12.9% Vicious Throw 42158 7.3% Rupture 21151 3.7% Force Scream 20665 3.6% Wind Buffet 14172 2.5% Battering Assault 14100 2.4% Force Charge 8688 1.5% Cloak of Pain 6411 1.1% Mortar Volley 5394 0.9% Retaliation 3360 0.6% After the first Defensive Systems your friend shouldn't have a problem keeping threat. Just have him pump his taunts into SC and S Throw, Scream, etcetc during this phase as he continues to kite the blue shields around SC.
  13. Juggs have better defensive CDs as well as pure dmg reduction. Dont let shield/absorb fool you on Sins they do nothing on boss crits and when wearing light armor can take some heavy hits compared to the steady stream lined dmg a decently geared jugg will take.
