Why rise of the Hutt Cartel is a failure
Tkerzis replied to silent-sniper's topic in General Discussion
Pretty much everything I want to say has been said already, the game has changed for the worse. The story is weak, the gameplay is stale and they didn't fix any of the (in my eyes) important issues. As I said with WAR's RvR pack: if the expansion makes it worse, it's time to quit. Bye TOR, and good luck and have fun for the people who keep playing. -
I don't get why people say that healer's never get MVPs. On my Operative and Sorc I've got nearly double the amount of MVP votes then my wins, so I nearly always get 2 MVPs. While leveling my newer character, a smuggler, I'm getting them a bit less but it's still a 1+ vote per game played. People do look at healers, but you won't always get votes. But neither do top DPS / top protection players. If anything, healers still get more votes then tanks. One way or another, the MVP system doesn't say anything since there is no measurement. If I arm all the doors in voidstar and do less healing/deeps because I'm playing the objective. Yet I'm doing an important task. The person just running around for fighting (like the people who throw away the huttbal once they get them) is considerately less important to the team then people doing the objectives, but will probably get more votes because "o lewk at hiz deepz!".

The only person left that still loves the game ?

All this talk of "commercial success" yet you don't "enlighten" me how it is. So far we've got: - Poor ROI - Poorly received by the public - Going from "F2P NO WAY" to F2P in less then a year (obviously, forced by EA). - Massive loss of subscribers in the first months. I'm failing to see how all of these add up to this being a "commercial success". Please keep it in context . -

This was a time where games with 500k actually were a huge success though, e.g. pre-WoW, despite what SWG was or wasn't the fact is still that they sold over 2M boxes of SWTOR and current subscription numbers are below 750k (EQ after several expansions actually still had 750k). TOR is a massive failure, that's why it's going F2P. BioWare has put a good spin on it though. Excuse me? There has rarely been a game that has had more bad press then SWTOR, and one of the games that did definitly wasn't SWG. Funny how you go on and say that the available market is so much smaller, TOR has been released in a far better MMO climate then SWG did. Yet they still managed to lose so many subscribers, given TOR's budget (atleast 200M, rumors going over 300M). Yeah, nice job SWTOR. -

People have been complaining about nearly every major aspect: - Poor dungeon design - Poor raid design - Poor PvP (both open and instanced) - Poor world design - **** all (and bad) CSR support - People being banned for WvW on a PvP server (true story dat) - etc. The only thing that really "made up for it" are the class quests. The world story once on each side. True, some aspects have been upgraded, but don't act as if this is a "good" MMORPG. It's decent as a SRPG. Are you high on crystal meth? The forums at launch were a wail of ************. And please don't act as if it's the same minority, the game didn't lose nearly 1.5m players (2m sold) because it's so damn great. First bold: Oke, you're comparing it to WoW and GW. That's a honest comparisment, not sure what ROM stands for, but Diablo and Starcraft are not even MMORPGs. Second bold: Obviously not, or they wouldn't have lost so many (potential) subscribers in the first place. TORtanic is a far worse failure then SWG ever was (budget/profit ratio). -
Nonsensicles, imma let you finish, but Combat Upgrade was the biggest, most devastating event to happen to the world of Pokemon.

Game Update 1.5/Free To Play go live date estimate

Just ironic how they're using the same date as the NGE release for F2P.
