  1. I keep seeing people making the same mistake over and over so it would be better if they could fix it When people join a raid and are in a personal instance it conflicts I try to look for common issues, this is one I keep seeing people make Also all the issues that require a ctrl + U 2x could use a fix
  2. Seems like the download took 7 minutes in total Good Job Bioware
  3. Hi, Yes, I mean places like Amazon. Here's the quick and easy idea. I recently saw Amazon sold Cartel Coins AND they offer a free pet Now, who in their right mind would buy w/o the freebie? So, I say encourage it. Amazon seems to have 3 pets, each tied to a different CC package. So... It's a 1 time shot. It's almost 2023. If you tie a new pet to each package for say 10 purchases, you are encouraging people to buy art/cosmetics Example buy 2400 cc get a juv mountain rancor Buy the package again and it either grows or you get a larger / grown version Do this 5-10x per each 2400,5500, etc and you give people another reason to buy cosmewtics
  4. shiny metal Now with a 70's paint job we might call that clear coat?
  5. Mostly Metallic as the gloss of plastic is lower than metals I may have over extended myself on this one. I just did a quick analytical look around and everything appears baked on, so I'm not sure now how their engine would handle it
  6. So, I was looking at some color crystals for over 2k coins an hour ago and then came here and wondered: Why? Why? Why are there no gloss/reflective dyes? Yes, I mean like Chrome and different color gradients and of course, there would be *some* roughness in the mat as every 3d artist knows there must be. My Sith Inq has an armor set with a mask that is close (black with reflectivity) With modern gpu's, this should be ok? So many material possibilities exist!!! Next we can speak about Anisotropic Materials in the engine See where I'm going? Does not need to look like a mirror but you can go much further imo
  7. They're watching and they care. The sale screen illustrates it. The pandemic was crazy. People were crazy. People everywhere are working to get back to their prev norms. So, the new info screen inspired me ( ook in suggestions)
  8. To this: In the scenario you describe, the solution is to make 1-2 more items per roll out cycle and hold them back until the Holidays when people spend money like water #management
  9. Also, after reading the post about collections, I also see how this will be very necessary. The poster listed hundreds of items he had problems transfering. He had a ton of items! So, I look at myself as a barometer! I have 4 toys left to purchase I have just over 100 mounts to complete that collection I can't buy a pet for less than 100 million I have most CM companions I have over 50% of the color crystals etc, etc, etc. And I tend to spend upwards of 100m - 1B per day on items from the GTN. It's how I amassed what I listed above. I buyout the GTN Not much left for me to buy...
  10. I'm really trying to be nice. It's been a heck of a past couple years. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, as it is deserved and not cast aspersions on them. Tons of people in every field are just up and quitting, it's amazing that theyare as far as they are right now... Heck, I was hoping for new augs/crafting in January of this year.... but I realize there are extenuating circumstances I'm just kindfully nudging
  11. Life day, and the collection sale are a part of an automated system that works on a timer in essence, no real work there except adding a few new items, which was nice. Personally the 340 artifact gear is nicer The point of doing it is not to placate players, but to make some holiday money for the game so they CAN do these things you speak about
  12. I bet if players were allowed to view the catalog, we could give them a list of items that would sell and would probably be large enough to repeat for 50 years They already have made probably a million items, for this game and others. Reuse it.....
  13. TBH, much of what I see is reclamed geometry. Example: in 2011 I collected a set of green armor for my companion They now sell that set as ceremonial armor on the Cartel Market The key word here is "instancing" and it reduces dev time dramatically. When I cam back last year, the 1st thing I noticed in the Dant event was that the y had reused my mini mech CE as a mine at the entrance of the imp base They have a massive library of artwork, in this game they reuse + any 3d model can be imported, so how many other games have they made??? The real time spent is with the artist using z-brush to make it look a part of the game
  14. I'm curious of what others think? Could they have done well to introduce a couple dozen new items (or more) during this time frame for players to give themselves or other players? I'm no marketing expert but this is the time of year to sell fluff Just my 2c
  15. It does look better with the new lanterns The refined menus are good, and I see lots of people which makes me smile
