  1. Hi, I am planning to get a new computer (an iMac with which I'll run SWTOR through the Windows partition). The base system is: 3.1GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1GB GDDR5 To best improve game performance which of the three (in order of best bang for buck) am I am better off upgrading? 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5 Thank you in advance (and please no Apple-hater responses, the Mac aspect is non-negotiable for a range of other reasons)
  2. But how many people actually forked out money early? I ordered as soon as pre-order started but have only just had Amazon charge my CC.
  3. And the winner of the most ridiculous analogy ever is.....Canuck_TwnTNN. Seriously, the queue at a nightclub is long so go to a different one? Really bloody helpful when you have an established character on a particular server. In real life would you roll up a "new" you and live your life over just to get into a nightclub with a short queue?
  4. I doubt many people will think that the idea that in 6 months they may be able to transfer on to a server their friends are on is a reasonable option. If the idea is to spread the player load across the servers then give prioirty to players who already have a character(s) on a server. That way players who are logging in for the first time, and have no server preference, will be further encouraged to go to a server with a lighter load. And the existing players will find it easier to get on to the server they have already committed to. I suspect a lot of the queues are artifically lengthened by people logging into the game well before they want to play just to ensure they are able to play as soon as they are ready. Being on what appears to be one of the unofficial Australian servers, the wait this weekend has been over 2 hours in peak time. How many players are logged in while they do other things and periodically press a few buttons so they don't get logged out? Yesterday I started logging in, went Christmas shopping for two hours, and came home to a queue of 10 people. Then I stayed logged in all afternoon and evening even when I wasn't able to play as I didn't want another huge queue when I could play.
