  1. I was hoping for some RNG deco only packs, or that's what I'd like to see. I'm *really* picky with how I set my places up. I spent, quite literally, 8 months decorating my stronghold in Nar Shadda and that involved me standing in front of the GTN going through thousands of items (repeatedly) and seeing what I liked vs what I wanted vs what I was willing to spend. With the economy so far out of whack, it makes what I did then, completely impossible today. I've got 150m but that's almost nothing in the way of things. 350k doesn't get you far, how it is. The other options are good but when I want a specific piece and it's either 100m or isn't there at all, it does put a bit of a damper on things. I'm happy for the other bits of decor but I think the packs are sorely lacking.
  2. I'd been wanting a Manaan stronghold forever, now that there is one - the current state of the economy the odds of me being able to decorate it are next to none. There are very few decorations available as their drops from cartel packs is sparse - that means what is on the GTN is astronomically expensive. I would be more than happy to buy decor packs. I don't really care about armor, mounts, or anything else that comes in them. TL;DR Decoration CM packs would be fantastic.
  3. At the moment, there are two small strongholds. There are two massive strongholds (Yavin is unspeakably huge). There is only one mid-sized stronghold - Nar Shadda. I think we could do with another mid-sized, I personally think one on Manaan would be brilliant. Half under water, half out, with a view of the water with fishing swimming under the water. Another choice for a mid-sized stronghold would, of course, be Zakuul a penthouse apartment towering over the city. Just a thought.
  4. I have no idea if anyone actually reads these. I have to say this, I loathe the new packs. I used to buy two or three (sometimes more) hypercrates a month. It was partially for the items and partially cause it was just fun. It was exciting when you got something that you wanted from a set number of items. If you missed an item you wanted, you could catch it when the pack came around again. Even if you didn't want to wait for the pack to roll around again, there were usually a decent selection on the GTN. The things that were more rare and hadn't been in a pack for awhile, were more costly of course. The state of decorations is abysmal. There used to be a robust selection on the GTN as the packs had a goodly amount. The packs of decorations that are sold on the GTN are priced ridiculously for a single decoration. 800 coins for a single piece of decor? That's obscene. My suggestion for the decoration packs would be to have one pack instead of the different colours, then have 1 gold item, then a random selection of silver and bronze items - 5 items in total. The packs themselves for what you get are overpriced. As I said, I'm someone who used to buy several a month and now I don't really buy them. I love decorations but I won't buy those packs either because the idea of spending that many coins on something that I know damned well and good I'm probably not even going to get anything vaguely interesting (including stuff you can buy directly from the CM) isn't fun to me. At least in the old packs, you would get a good number of different things. The variation might be more, but the value is less. I can understand the armor and mounts being one per pack but decorations and power crystals being one per pack is just a rip off. Spending 800 coins and getting a single painting is just silly. Same for spending 150 credits on a crystal pack and getting 1 really crap crystal that no one wants. If absolutely nothing else, you should bring back the old packs - a different one each month. I'd buy the hell out of those. Maybe it would be fun to open them again. That way, the people who like the new ones could have what they want and the people who like the old ones would feel like giving you ridiculous amounts of money again.
  5. Yes! This exactly about Manaan. I thought it would be great if there was a lower area like the solarium part of Nar Shadda that could be underwater. You have that view of the big fish that you see when you look out the other underwater windows on Manaan. You could either have a submersible 'taxi' arrival or a ship dock on top. We sat in TS talking about it a lot.
  6. At the moment, there are two small, two large and one medium sized strongholds. I've been talking to my guildies and we thought that a stronghold on Manaan would be fantastic. Perhaps making it a second medium sized option. We also thought it would be quite nice to have half of it below water, with a view of the sea. On a personal note, it's just such a calm soothing place.
  7. It's all because of nazis. There, does that mean the screaming at each other is done now?
  8. No one is really bothering to see that some people are having issues. I hear a lot of 'WELL I CAN DO IT SO YOU CAN TOO IF YOU LEARN TO PLAY SO SHUT UP!" Sure you can do it but not everyone can. It's important to be able to appreciate that not everyone is the same. The game isn't just for the hardcore or the casual. It's for both. That said, it's not the hardcore gamer that seems to be suffering with the changes but some of the casuals and moderate players. Shouting people down just makes them antagonistic and unwilling to listen to any salient points you might have. If someone says, "I am having trouble with this" then they are having trouble with it. They aren't just saying it to inconvenience you or tamper with your idea of what the game should be. If people can agree that a level of nerf was needed, then that's a step in the right direction. I don't like the changes but I think a nerf was needed. I think it was far too severe though. It left a lot of casuals unable to do the content, either by time constraints or out and out ability to do it. I used to be a hardcore raider and min/maxed everything to the ninth degree, every decimal counted. I had to have the right spec, the right rotation. I had to use all of my cc's and interrupts with perfect timing. I just don't have the time to do that anymore. I played this game because I could play it at my own pace and solo play while having a community to talk and share with. Can I do the content now? I can. Do I like to do it now? Not even a little bit. Do I have time to do it now? Not even a little bit. I understand what those yelling for nerfs were saying and I understand what those hurt by it now are saying. Screaming about it doesn't do anyone any good. Suggestions? Great. Screaming and belittling? Not great.
  9. I don't have the time or the inclination to spend grinding content I've done 1000 times because I have to. With the comps as they were before, it made it so much faster. I saw someone post saying it only took them 30 minutes more to do them. I just don't have an extra 30 minutes in my day faffing around. For the record, it takes me considerably longer to do them. In the time I could do 10, I now do 3. It's boring, tedious, and not remotely fun. Yet, with the current structure of the content, you have to do them if you want to make any progress (such as it is). I have no desire to log in or if I do log in, I just sit there. I was excited to log in a couple of days ago. I was happy to do the weeklies because they were fun. Now they are just another slog. There's a reason I didn't bother doing heroic +2 before, now that reason is back with one difference, you have to do the slog. The slog doesn't benefit the company. If people are bored with it, they won't play. If they don't play they take their money and walk. The vast majority of players (to this game especially) are casuals. They are the ones who are subs and who spend money in the Cartel Market. This change was supposed to improve things for the casuals but now that the incentive is gone ... I think they will have to change it to some measure. Do I think it will go back to the way it was before? No. I do think some adjustment will have to be made. I know if I am not having fun, I'm not going to pay for not having fun. I get that when I go to work and they pay me to not have fun.
  10. In 3.0 we could at least gear our companions and if they sucked, we could adjust their gear. Now we just have to take what we get and if it's not enough, there's just not anything to be done about it.
  11. There's a part of me that really thinks the dev's were trolling. To show the people who were ************ were indeed a vocal minority and that the changes could be much worse. I can't possibly imagine they'll leave it this way. Before the 4.0 the servers were extremely low pop and they were calls for another server merge. Afterward, they had to increase server capacity. That swell of people who came in, a few will stay but a lot of them will leave. I don't think that it will kill the game, it wasn't dead before 4.0. I do however think it'll go back to talk of a server merge. Thanks for the numbers, they just go to show how severe the cuts were.
  12. I am shocked and upset by the nerf. I do think that perhaps 15%-20% might have been called for but this cutting to the bone is ridiculous. I am not happy by a long shot. I haven't unsubbed yet, I'm giving them a chance to do something about it. I've been a sub for a really long time but if they don't do something about it, I'm taking my money and walking. Oh, and I do spend a lot on the cartel market.
  13. Not everyone wanted the comps nerfed. Which is plainly obvious by the avalanche of comments. As for why I can't level, if I can't get the support from my companion that I require to do so, then I can't level. At the moment, unless I can do it without a comp, I can't really do it at all. I've been playing the game since it came out. I never had to spam heal my companion unless I pulled too much or did something stupid. Even when the game first came out, there were only a couple of things that I remember having trouble with as they were over tuned. Not everyone is a hardcore player. Not everyone has the time to put hours and hours into it. I used to have a lot more time and I played a lot more. I no longer have that time. What most of the people who are talking about people being whiners don't get, is not everyone likes what they like or wants to do what they want to do. I'm not exaggerating when I say the game is currently unplayable for me. It isn't hyperbole, it is the truth. If I'm paying for parking but I can't use my space, I'm not going to keep paying them.
  14. What seems to elude you, is not everyone plays the game like you do. What you can do, is completely irrelevant to what someone else can do or wants to do. But if you must know: I tried the heroic +2 (the weeklies) with dps, healer, and tank. I tried the easiest ones on Korriban, no problem though it took longer. I tried one of the moderate ones on Alderaan, huge problem. I tried one of the ones on Belsavis, completely undoable. So, then I tried leveling my char I have on Makeb and I was getting wiped out. Also, having to stop in the middle of a fight to heal up (when not doing a raid/op) is ridiculous. I'm thrilled you can pull half an instance and it be fine for you. It is not fine for me and judging by the deluge of comments, it's not fine for thousands of other people. And no it's not your fault that I don't have the time to spend pouring hours and hours into the game. But it is the games fault if they say they are doing things for casuals. The game is story focused. They said that the companion buffs were intended to make the game more accessible to casuals - make more of the content accessible. While I do thinks that companions needed a nerf, they did far too much. Again, what is good for you, is not good for everyone else. It's that way in life, it's that way in a game.
