  1. I agree with some of the comments he has made, primarily the Barrel Roll and Ion/Plasma debuff issues. I strongly disagree with the idea that getting a one shot on a scout or Burst for a primary weapon are real issues. I am on the side of those who understand that if I play a scout, I gave up survivability for movement. I also know that if I am sitting still and I am giving a gunship a chance to charge on me, I deserve death. That is not an issue, it is indeed working as it should be. Scouts need to be more aware of their surrounding and always know that they gave up survivability. If I am forced to be on the run though, I want a fighting chance. No one should instantly assume they are dead because they are regulated to a crappy primary weapon. If they are to do anything, they can reduce the range and buff the Light Laser, but saying we shouldn't be able to defend ourselves if being chased is opening the flood gates to gs irrelevance. If all of his changes happen, Mark my words, Scouts will be the fotm and the cries for nerfs will pour in. Fix what is broken and a lot of the noise will stop.
  2. My money is on the fact that when all the complaints about the gs are addressed, Bioware is going to inadvertently make them irrelevant (see past Shadow Tank and Commando DPS Balance changes for examples). When it is all said and done, we will just see even more complaints, probably along the lines of "gunships keep stealing my kills". I'm sure it will have nothing to do with the fact that after they get nerfed into the ground, all they can do is snipe a person who is on their last leg. Did I forget to mention that bombers are going to come back? I can already hear the complaints.
  3. I cannot tell you how many times I have had to rush in to an objective because the scouts and strike fighters are chasing one random guy because he has 10% health left. It's like blood in the water and they lose sight of the objective. Gunships should be laying out the cover fire for incoming traffic. If I gather 200 objective points in a match on my GS, it's generally because the other roles have failed to do what they are supposed to be doing, with few exceptions.
  4. As I said, I'm not the guru on this by any means, but the spec I am using is what has worked for me so far. I guess using the specs you have listed, I have to ask what the Offhands would be?
  5. I personally have been using this spec for PvP. I'm by no means an expert PvP'er, but 500k Damage / 500k Protection seems to be fairly decent for me. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801GMGrdoRoZrsMrobRM.3 Ion Cell activated, Increased Damage from the Gut Bleed, and after you 3 stack Pulse Generator, it starts to melt away the HPS. I am still plotting out my own gear, guessing I may run Tank Mods with Shield/Power Enhancements, even thought I'm hearing 25% Crit is optimal for Tactics. Haven't determined what to do with the Ear/Implants, possibly get some Accuracy in there to miss a bit less? It's a fun discussion to have at any rate!
  6. Thank you guys for your replies, I will be contacting you individually if I have any specific questions! BTW: Good to see there is a somewhat familiar face here KBN.
  7. Two people currently looking for further personal Ops Progression. We are currently seeking an adult, casual atmosphere, with a forward push on progression and the upcoming Ops. I have a 55 Scoundrel Healer (full 72, Progression Ready), a 55 Commando Healer (mix 69 & 72), and a 55 Vanguard Tank (full 69). The other person has a 55 Sage Healer (full 72, Progression Ready), and a 55 Gunslinger DPS (mix 69 & 72). Our current progression is TFB HM 5/5, S&V HM 7/7 as the healers for our former team. As the former Ops Leader, I am looking for an organized, focused group with clear and leadership and dedication to not just the guild progression, but its members. We know that we may be far from perfect in raiding, but will always listen to the advise given to us and build upon that as long as it remains constructive. We are not looking for cutting edge progression, but we do want a focused and progression forward attitude. Similar completions would be ideal, perhaps a boss or so further than our completion would be ideal. We have not decided on a server, nor which toons we will be bringing, however we are looking to see what is available to us before we make the jump. Our raid times are between 8pm EST and Midnight EST, and are available most nights. One final note, we do not have Role Play experience, nor a real desire to do so, but wanted to see what may be available here. Please reply here with a reason why you feel we would be a good fit, and what you would prefer for us to bring.

  11. Calling it now. Which makes me very sad...
  12. My current build toward what I personally feel is Min/Max for PvP is really no different than in PvE for me. Sawbones Spec PvP Planned Gearing Believe it or not, the PvP gear is fairly well balanced. I just have to swap one Crit/Surge enhancement for a Crit/Alacrity Since AMR is kinda wonky lately... Cunning: 3119 Endurance: 2568 Power: 670 Alacrity: 448 Crit: 186 Surge: 192 Equals out to something like... Critical Chance: 25.80% Critical Multiplier: 63.48% Activation Speed: 7.95%
  13. Yesterday while running through TFB, we noticed that one of the mobs (Gold Droid in the second Data Core Trash Room) was defying all CC's. He had a Sage Lift, Commando CR, and Sentinel Droid Stun, with debuffs shown, and was still attacking. I still noticed it a few other times last night, and decided to put someone else in my CC slot so that we didn't risk the possibility of it happening at the wrong time.
  14. Here is one that happened last night during our S&V run. Notice the Unpredictable ability, and the fact that after CR was fired, there was no talk of it missing or even putting the target to sleep, which you can do on the Dustclaw trash.
  15. I'm sure others will disagree with me here, but I personally feel the Armor Buff and HoT associated with AMP it makes it worth rolling on your primary tank, even if it may be absorbed into your Overheal. Constantly rolling it on the tank means you are almost always going to have the Cost Reduction up when you do need MP. Rolling AMP with Trama Probe also means you are given the leeway to use MP less often on the tanks, and spot heal with BI and HS. Remember, the goal as a healer is making sure everyone lives and using your Ammo wisely so that you aren't tapped out when you need it the most.
